Fandom The Riders of Berk

"It is safer to introduce myself to your dragon first..." Keani reasoned quietly. Ice snorted and seemed to say something to the dragon through a series of weird noises. Keani kept a hand outstretched, the other resting on Ice's neck.

Things seemed more tense up close than they had from a distance, and when she finally reached the group it seemed a lot less fun than she had hoped. Her dragon stood towering behind her at the edge of the group.

"There a problem?" she asked the little crew, head cocked to the side and an eyebrow raised. She was never one to walk away if she thought a fight might erupt

Venice dropped, the ground rumbling as her massive paws smashed into the hard soil. She roared, her saliva flicking off of her teeth and tongue towards the strangers. This was merely a warning, since this direct approach didn't please her. She spat a cloud of smoke towards them, still snarling, the growls erupting from her chest. "That's enough, Venice." Autumn demanded, narrowing her eyes before sliding down the dragons tail, landing gracefully on the ground. "It seems she's currently not in the mood, but she won't harm you unless I tell her to." Autumn explained, dragging her boots as she moved forward, kicking a few pebbles, behind her Venice kept a close eye on the strangers to ensure nothing happened. "A problem? Of course not. Just some friendly... Meeting of sorts," she said, her voice bold and crisped. "I hope it is, at least. It'd be a shame if it wasn't."

(Sorry for the late response, went to see a movie)

"it seems her dragon is not the most confident. No offence intended." Flint said. "but yeah. Don't threaten us, and we won't threaten you. Lock, introduce yourself." lock looked to Keani first. He walked over and immediately licked her, knees to face.

Keani looked at the dragon, raising an eyebrow. Ice turned to look at the dragon as Keani stayed on her back. After a second, Ice puffed hot air at the dragon.

While Valkyrie looked over the little crowd of people and their dragons, sizing them up, almost, Vordr had been breathing at her hair and toying with it behind her.

"Well." she began her usual blunt manner "Seems awkward. What's the deal. not gonna do something fun? got a whole day ahead of us all and we're standing in a crowd having a stare down!"

Venice grumbled, looking up at the dragons. She simply retorted into her confinement, wanting badly to interact, but that striking fear taking over her. "It's not confidence she lacks, Flint" spoke Autumn, with a brute snap to her voice. "It's trust." she told him simply, brushing a hand through her long dark hair, her bright eyes dulling with grief. "She's been through a lot. Not what most have to deal with. It's a long and unfortunate story, and I'm pretty sure she doesn't want to relive those memories. Just give her time. If you are worthy than she will come to trust you, if not, then... that's a different story." she explained simply, before turning to Valkyrie. "And who do we have here?" Autumn started, meandering over to the girl, towering over her. There was no denying Autumn was ridiculously tall. She then turned to the group, her hands brushing the air.

"Can someone please remind me how exactly this became a party? A game of some sorts?" The girl asked, her once shy demeanor completely vanishing. "I can't trust any of you, sincerely. You seem like nice enough people, but I for one, don't have fun, and don't believe I ever will, for my ideas of fun are far more... interesting than yours" she spoke, directing towards the blunt girl who stood behind her but not making eye contact. "I believe true introductions and trust are to be formed before we can do anything. Nowadays I suppose nobody can truly be trusted, now can they?" she questioned, her hands placed formally behind her back as she returned to her beast.

Lock sniffed the hot air that was puffed at him, and he apparently fainted. "I stand corrected, and also understand." Flint said. "ignore the dork." he continued, gesturing to lock on the ground. "he's still childish. Anyway, this, by my reckoning, became a party when people people camping out in the woods on and Island, with there dragons... From there I have no clue. As for introductions, my name is Flint, and the dragon who fainted by your dragons breath, is the great and intellectually challenged lock." flints sarcasm went right over locks head as he still lay, playing dead.

Ice just stared at the dragon, not amused. Keani took a deep breath. "My name is Keani. This is Ice Wind..." she said curtly. She sat up a little bit more, her posture stiff and perfect. Ice dipped her head slightly, as if bowing. The Stormcutter was still fairly younf, and only Keani's guiding hand on her neck kept her still and from looking about. Keani was trying to train her to always remain still, knowing that a highly trained dragon would inspire fear in her enemies more than one who danced from foot to foot.

Figuring they had saved the best for last in their little introductioons, she figured it may has well have been a theatrical one. "I" began the blond, strutting up and pushing her way past Autumn and into the center of the circle, leaving her dragon standing in the dust on the fringes of the group. "am the one and only Valkyrie Bergstrom!" with that last part, she pointed to the dragon, who then jumped over autumn and in the middle of the group beside her. "And, of course, the great Vordr!" He roared loudly, yet it had a hint of shyness to it, and dropped his tail in front of her so she was surrounded by him on all sides but visible.

"No one said anything about trusting you people." she added pointedly, directing this next bit to Autumn "I simply suggested mentioning it and standing around all nervous that the others will draw on you if you dare crack a smile is a waste of time!"

"Most of life is a waste of time kiddo, but you'll get used to it." Autumn remarked simply, her voice monotone as she used her fingers to shape a gun and held it to her head, winking at Valkyrie as she pulled the thumb trigger and lipped a silent 'bang'. Autumn's life sucked, there was no denying that. "And I, for one, and Autumn Leafrott." she said, mounting her dragon. The creature stood, it's oddly massive size and even larger wings spread and shimmering against the immense sun. "This thing of beauty here is Venice, the Night Fury but not so Night Fury. She's something else, I suppose, though the Book of Dragon's has no word on such a creature." Venice gurgled, her ivory teeth glimmering with saliva that beaded from her lips. It was a scary sight, but the light that reflected from her vibrant colors seemed to attract the most attention. "It's er... nice to make your acquaintance" she said, directing to the newcomers since her and Flint had clearly already met.

Flint walked away halfway through Valkyrie's display, clearly not interested. He Instead collected his dragon saddle and began mounting it to lock. That was roughly when Venice reared up. As Flint had hopped up onto the saddle, his gaze was indeed drawn by the magnificent colours of Venice's wings. His gaze bounced over Venice as he took in every detail as fast as he could.

(Adding a new rule. If it's a persons turn to post and they have taken over two hours without posting or explanation why they have left, the will be skipped once. After that they will be given two days to reply, and if not they will continue to be skipped until further notice. @HonestlySurviving Your opinion on this matters, so message me with any concerns ^.^ )

(I'm heading to bed y'all. If you guys continue skip my turn. Goodnight! :3)

(I think it's a good rule. I went to sleep shortly after my last post, before anyone else posted, so sorry about that. I'm on my phone for a few, so I'll post a reply in a couple of minutes when I get to my laptop.)

Keani nodded slightly at the girl, still keeping Ice from moving around. She stayed mounted on Ice for now, knowing it calmed to dragon. She could feel Ice's heart beating faster as she started to get antsy from all of the dragons surrounding her. She'd only been around one other dragon at a time before, and three was making the small dragon nervous. "If you are uncomfortable, Ice and I can leave..." she offered, uncaring what the answer would be. She'd stay if they did not mind, and she'd go if they did.

(All good. Don't apologize. For now on we shall just tell people what we're doing.)

"No need, Keani." Autumn murmured, shrugging her shoulders slightly as she grinned at the girl. "I think it is safe to say we are all familiar with each other now, no?" she asked, noticing the dragon that Keani was mounted was getting rather nervous. Venice dropped back on all fours, grunting with the impact as she hit the ground. Autumn noticed Flint and tilted her head slightly, eyeing the boy. "Where are you going?" she asked, her gaze steady as he begun tacking his dragon up.

Keani watched them, keeping her hand one Ice's neck in an effort to keep her calm. The chains in Keani's hair clinked softly as a breeze stirred the air again, but she paid those no mind. After a few moments of watching everyone speak back and forth, Keani decided that she had spent enough time idle. "I need to train..." she said. "Is anyone willing to fight with me?"

Autumn looked at her beast, who was still rather moody. She wasn't sure what was up, but she didn't want to take any chances. "I would... I don't feel Venice will take fighting for training purposes" she said simply, knowing her dragon was very violent.

(Sorry all. Next time skip me. I had something very important I needed to do.)

(it would have made no sense plot wise if we did skip you. And I had college all day.)

Flint rubbed locks head. "and we're not so much fighters. We'd fight to defend ourselves, but that's about all... I suppose we could train." he said, almost sounding unsure.

Keani shook her head. "If you do not want to or you are uncomfortable with it, then don't. I know how to train alone, I just don't prefer it..." Ice snorted as if agreeing with her. "Besides, I can work with Ice on manuverability on and off ground..."

(Sorry it's short, I'm on my phone, and it already deleted half of my original post. I'll be home at a laptop soon, so when I am, I may or may not add more to it.)

The dragon that Autumn was mounted lashed her tail, a massive growl erupting from her lungs. Perhaps Venice did want to fight, however, she would have to use her brute strength against the dragon, because her electricity induced flame blasts would surely cause severe harm to the dragon and it's rider.

"That's enough, Venice." murmured Autumn as she patted the fur on the creatures neck. Without a saddle, Autumn would be taking a risk riding Venice in battle. However that was her fault, leaving her specially designed saddle behind. Then again, she also didn't know her casual flight would become a challenge to a race and a battle.

Flint thought for a moment. "does your dragon know what to do if you were knocked unconscious? Personally, I'd like my dragon to know something like that. Like where to take me, how to hold me without hurting me, that stuff."

Keani nodded slowly. "She knows how to handle herself if I cannot do it for her. I taught her that as soon as she was old enough to fly. I felt it was important. Fly up with me and I'll shoe you..." She led Ice into the air, the pair shooting straight up into the air. Ice kept them aloft while waiting on the male, Keani's hair clinking in the wind. Ice made a small gurgling sound, and Keani patted her neck. "It's alright baby..."

Autumn left out a soft sigh, brushing the long fur of her dragon between it's shoulder blades. "Well, we best be off. Things to... attend to." the girl said simply, squeezing her legs softly. The dragon rose, beating it's massive wings as it lifted off of the ground, the dust and debris spiraling like a tornado below them during the lift off.

Flint gave her a wave as she took off. Then it was his turn to take flight. He hooked the tube to a mount, specifically designed to take it, and he popped the front cap. A small owl head poked from the hole. Flint ensured the tube was mounted tightly, and wouldn't slip away. "and, lift off." he said. Then lock began to lift them into the skies. He flew upwards until he was level with Ice, whom he gave a goofy toothless grin.
