Fandom The Riders of Berk

Keani stared at her, confused. "Who are you?" She tried to ask, though only what sounded like breaths left her mouth. Her throat and nose were soar, as the salt from the water had rubbed the areas raw. She tried to back away when she saw slightly blurry arms reaching for her, then realized that something warm and heavy was being draped over her. Keani watched the girl carefully, her arms shaking harder when she tried to pull herself away from her.

"Easy now... you need warmth. Seems like you took quite the swim." Hazel remarked, looking at the shivering girl. Lock was still being a goof only a little bit away from the pair, and could definitely warm up Keani. She gestured towards the Dragon, hoping he would listen to her and help out the cold girl.

"Who are you?" She mouthed, still shaking as she continued to try to back up. Ice wrapped her tail around Keani's waist to help the girl feel safe, growling softly at Hazel in a way to warn her that she was scaring Keani.

"you wanna back off a bit?" Flint asked the new girl. "you're making her dragon uncomfortable. And uncomfortable dragons means uncomfortable riders." Lock prepared a plasma bolt and shot it at the floor between the two. The warmth spread from where the bolt hit the floor, gently heating around it. "also, it would be great to know who you are." Flint said.

Keani slowly turned her head to look at Flint, noticing for the first time since she had woken that he was there. 'What happened?' She mouthed as the floor and air around her slowly began to warm. She looked towards Lock for a second to give him a small smile before turning back to Flint. She remembered the storm, and Ice getting Manjano out, but not anything after that except for a feeling of confused panic. She looked around the cave, seeing Autumn and Venice, Manjano and his sister, and their dragons, along with two new riders, one dragon, and a giant dragon outside of the enterence to the cave.

In the cave entrance the massive dragon roared, a warning to the mouthy inhabitants of the cave. Hazel let out a soft chuckle, rather dark sounding as she stood, her hair obscuring her face. "Now now..." she started, towering over the pair "that's no way to treat someone who had just sucked the goddamn death liquids out of your friend there, now is it?" she said with an edge to her usually soft voice. "I, could currently care less about her little dragon over there pulling it's little temper tantrum. Seems like the thing has trust issues, not my fault. I only care about the blue lipped girl who just faced death and can barely speak. You get it?" finding herself getting worked up and approaching the boy. She was raw and intimidating, no doubt about it. "Your dragon is the only one well capable of warming this frozen girl. She needs direct heat and her dragon is not providing it. I suggest you let me help your friend and get her warm, as well as give her something to help that throat, and drop the attitude, kiddo." She grumbled, shaking her head. "Hostility in dragons is never a good thing, either. If the dragon wouldn't allow it's rider to be helped, than it clearly hasn't been trained properly." she finished, letting out a soft sigh, before meandering to her backpack and flicking all the contents onto the cave floor. There were bean bags filled to the brim with odd looking plants. She would need someone to chew the right ones and give it to Keani to help her get back to normal. If they'd refuse the help, then it would be ridiculously painful for the girl. Hazel was blunt, straight forward over her efforts, and the onlooker ignorance was certainly a bother. With the sweetest voice she could muster, kneeling on the ground and collecting herbs, she introduced herself. "I'm Hazel and that big bastard over there is Marrow." her massive dragon grunted in response, still rather irritated.

Keani felt a twinge of insult when she said that Ice hadn't been trained properly. The dragon had done nothing to prevent Hazel from helping Keani, merely warned her to not scare her. Ice was clearly getting annoyed herself, and she growled softly, once more, not threateningly, but as a warning; this time about Hazel's insults. Keani huffed, her only way to currently express her annoyance, and even that hurt her throat. Things were mostly in focus now, and although she still had to wait thirty or so seconds for things to stop being blurry when she shifted her eyes to a new spot, it was better. She watched the girl, annoyed and very frustrated that she still didn't know what had happened, what was wrong with Autumn, or where she was and how she got there.

Lea frowned at this Hazel girl, narrowing her eyes as she insulted Lea's companions. That was it for Lea, she'd heard enough from this girl. Falarion and Kurt immediately stood up and joined sides, standing in front of the twins, Lea and Manjano, before simultaneously snarling at Hazel's dragon, Marrow, at the cave entrance, neither of them liking his warning roar. Lea joined Manjano's side to make sure he didn't fall over or anything before she glared at Hazel and said, "Look, I get it that we need your help, but you've got a worst attitude than all of us combined currently. Stop being so arrogant and just help Autumn. If you're going to snap at Keani like that and insult her dragon for simply being defensive, then you certainly won't be sticking around once you're done helping Autumn. I, for one, wouldn't want someone as irritating as yourself at my side, whether or not you have some medical knowledge." Manjano wanted to say something as well, but decided against it since he wasn't keen on getting involved in any possible fights.

Hazel let out a sigh, shaking her head. She had never been around others before, hell, she had never even met her own parents. She simply knew facts and that was it, and she was unsure of how to be kind. "It's simple truth ma'am, I'd rather be thanked than treated like some sort of object. I'm human too." She said, her voice brisk. She murmured something to herself gently, her hair obscuring her face as she pressed certain plants into different piles and gathered the remaining bits and placing them back into her bag. "Chew these until they are mush and feed them to the sore throated girl. It'll do wonders." she instructed to no one in particular. She stood up and brushed her pants off, shuffling herself and her belongings to her dragon who was obviously ready to obliterate them all. Hazel pressed a hand to his nose, calming him slightly. "They don't want us here Marrow, let it be." She said simply before walking up the skull of the creature. He snorted but she ignored it. "Give it to her too" she gestured to Autumn. "She'll need it." she stated before tapping her feet against the massive dragons ribs to make it fly further upwards.

Keani frowned in confusion. When had they treated her like am object? She looked towards Lea and Manjano, waited for about half a minute for them to come into focus. "What happened?" she mouthed again, hoping that somebody would answer her. She tired to shift her focus back to Hazel when she said something about Keani and feeding her something. She frowned in confusion, trying to process every confusing thing at once. Her eyes focused in time to see her gong to her large dragon and say that they weren't wanted.

Autumn let out a sharp gasp, finally, after so long of seemingly and unwillingly holding her breath. The sudden air filled her lungs and caused her such intense pain that she had almost passed out once again. She attempted to scream, but all that came out was a sharp huff. She clutched her chest, wanting to cough, to speak, to cry, but nothing was coming out. Venice saw her riders struggles and bounded to her side, whining at the girl as she used her head to push Autumn upwards. Outside, Hazel's dragon watched, shivering at the sight. It looked as if Autumn was in even worse condition than Hazel originally thought. The massive dragon and the girl set out, leaving, searching for whatever the medically advanced girl had in mind. She lived on her own, survival was her forté.

It seemed Autumn wouldn't be able to wait too long, however, the pain of her scratched lungs beaten by the rain, water, and blood extreme. She pushed her hands behind her to hold herself up, tears welling in the corners of her eyes and falling down her cheeks but not a single noise coming out. She pushed her stinging eyes over to look, but the faces were unrecognizable. She wanted to say something, but her mind was seemingly still trapped in her body.

Keani's eyes fell onto Autumn, and after she came into focus, felt her heart constrict at the sight. It was awful... Keani's eyes didn't stray from Autumn as she mouthed for somebody to do something, for somebody to help her. She was simultaneously trying to rise, not sure what to do, but knowing that something needed to be done. She remembered the herbs and gestured at them, hoping to get somebody's attention. Maybe they would help.

(I think it might be wise to first tag everyone in an OOC post and then see who all is still interested. I'd be happier with less rpers this time around though. We had way too many dragons and riders in the cave area)

(I think everyone who was still involved has replied already, haven't they? We had some people drop at the beginning, and everyone who participated regularly has responded in the ooc thread.)

(Basically, all the characters started to meet each other on an island, a storm hit and they were caught in it, Autumn and my character were injured, and they're all in a cave waiting out the storm and I think it may have passed now, but I can't remember.)

"Celeste! CELESTE!" The dark haired boy yelled, as he sat there in pain on the wet and muddy ground a arrow was through his thigh. and shoulder. Plus those injuries, Nico had lost some blood... maybe a lot.. Nico yelled again as Celeste his dragon, the very loyal exterminator, was roaring and spewing fire into the air. Signaling help to anyone near. Or she could luring the enemies to him. The exterminator finally looked back at her rider. She quickly run to him, curling up next to him. Nico wasn't feeling good. "Celeste.. it's okay." Celeste would still roar right next him. Nico winced and sighed. "Celeste,.. i don't think nobody can hear us.."

Venice's massive ears perked as she tucked her large wings into her body. She craned her neck, trying to pear outside. She heard calls of desperation, but couldn't do anything. Her rider lay still in the cave, barely recovering, and she needed to be there for her.

However, Hazel was doing much different things.

Marrow and Hazel flew steadily through the black clouds, visibility to a near zero when inside. The clouds were calm, however, their violent rotating had ceased. The only thing left of the killer storm was the sound of faint rumbling as the clouds settled. Hazel's boneknapper had been on edge. He could hear something that at the time she couldn't, and Hazel could tell there was something wrong. The girl leaned forward onto her massive dragon, touching the base of his skull gently. "What's wrong?" she murred, stroking gently.

"Show me." she urged.

The dragon obeyed her and begun to dive, letting out an ear blasting roar that could be heard for miles. He was going to help, somehow, and Hazel too.

Keani struggled to sit up, her body shaking as she did. Ice propped her up with her leg, and Keani leaned against her dragon gratefully. Ice blew warm air over her shivering rider, her ears flat against her head. She could hear that something was wrong, but she wouldn't leave Keani behind.

Nico was going to faint soon. His vision blurred. His injury area felt kinda numb.. that's not good. Celeste roared again, but Nico could tell she felt sad. "It's alright, i'm just.. hurt.. that's all.." He mumbled. He bled out a lot so far. "Celeste.. don't roar, please." Celeste growled in response and flew up in the air, spewing fire and roaring. Nico kinda slumped over, his eyes focused on his dragon.

( tagging everyone again so this won't die.. sorry. >.< @Obnoxious @azimuth @HonestlySurviving @Lioness075 )

The Boneknapper spotted the flames and dove down towards Celeste. Hazel stood on the back of her spiraling dragon, peering through the clouds. "That's one smart dragon. She must be trained." the girl remarked. Behind her Hazel's long hair whipped the air and her back. Her eyes teared as the gained speed. When they neared the help seeking dragon immediately she knew the size difference would be an issue. Hazel's Boneknapper was notorious for it's rarity and it's size. The dragon they were about to approach was merely the size of Marrow's hind leg, and Hazel knew that if her dragon spooked the Exterminator then there'd be no chance of rescue for the wounded rider the dragon was trying to save. However, Hazel trusted that this dragon understood they were there to help, and with that she ordered Marrow to dive. The two plummeted to the soil and pulled up just before hitting the ground. They landed and immediately Marrow bowed so Hazel could slid off of his skull. Hazel made her way over to the injured boy, tears still falling off of her cheeks from the rapid descent in. As Hazel examined Marrow took to the skies again to show Celeste he meant no harm. He was gentle in his rather loud movements, but it was obvious he meant the best.

Hazel took the strangers head and placed it into her lap. This vantage point allowed her to check his vitals. She wouldn't ask if he was alright, because she knew he wasn't. She opened his eyelids, her large green eyes examining his pupils, and then she leaned her ear close to his mouth to listen to his breathing. Alive, but not well. Hazel would have to get him somewhere clean to remove that arrow so infection wouldn't reach it. With a sigh she contemplated places to go.

Meanwhile, in the cave where the useless Autumn lay, Venice had wrapped her body around her rider, whimpering softly. It seemed the injuries would never stop. Keani was awake, but still not doing well, and as much as Venice wanted to help the pair she trusted Ice would take very good care of her rider. Autumn stirred, having nearly coughed a lung out her bruised and battered organs begun to spew blood out of her mouth. It wasn't a good thing, but it wasn't life threatening. As long as she didn't drown in her own fluids Autumn would make a recovery.

Celeste saw a rider. She was hesitant. diving down with them silently, seeing the girl carefully get off with no weapons. She was calm as she seen the rider's dragon to tell her it's okay. Celeste would give out a little bark to signal it's okay. Celeste flew down and began to approach the girl with Nico and , not meaning to hurt her. Celeste gave a warning growl to Hazel and laid next to Nico, on the other side, away from the girl.

Nico's eyelids flew open. And a girl with remarkable green eyes examined him. "Good girl.. Celeste." He muttered. "Your eyes remind me of emeralds." He said, absentmindedly. He laughed, "Celeste.. you actually did it." Nico smiled and after that he kept being unusually talkative. "A Boneknapper? What a beautiful breed." He smiled and laughed again, wincing.
