Fandom The Riders of Berk

Ice grumbled but slowly laid back down, half in front of Keani, and half beside her. Ice was getting more and more nervous with all of these strangers just deciding to pop in, and she couldn't help but be nervous. She sniffed the air around the newest girl, slightly curious despite herself.

"I don't know, and she's been unconscious the whole time. She was far worse a few minutes ago." Flint didn't want to directly point out Kurt's special fire. He'll leave it to the twins to tell them, of the choose. "she still has fluid in her lungs. But got most of it out just before you arrived. I misjudged your dragon intentions. It's actions lead me to believe it was trying to attack us."

Roaring as they entered the village Licht flew towards the Great hall. They burst through the door startling some other vikings who were talking, "We have some riders that need medical help in a cave" Heir said as some of the vikings rushed to follow Licht who was guiding them back.

Apparently the Vikings were just getting things for Heir to use, Flying back to the cave medical supplies in the bag on his back Licht was moving pretty fast for his usual self.

Lea was still a bit wary of the boneknapper, but reassured Flatiron by continuing to pet her on the neck. Falarion huffed with annoyance at the sudden appearance of new riders and dragons, but let out a whine as she resigned to not lash out at the new strangers. Kurt sniffed at Manjano, who grinned at him and put his hand on Kurt's snout. Snorting, Kurt then nudged Manjano and Manjano chuckled before he used the aid of Kurt to stand up. While Manjano felt a tad weak, he was better and now able to stand again. Looking around at the newcomers, Manjano wondered if they were finally getting proper help. Lea saw the bag tossed on the floor and went over to pick it up before returning to Falarion's side. Opening the pack and examining the contents, Lea knew they could put some of this to good use.

Heir could tell he was nearing the cave as he saw the Boneknapper hovering outside "Hey I got some medical stuff" Heir yelled out before Licht roared to let them know they were close.

Hazel pressed an ear to Autumn's chest. Her eyes closed tightly as she shook her head, letting out a soft sigh as she raised up and looked at the others. "This is not good." she stated, her voice cracking. She glanced towards the girl with her bag, rubbing the back of her neck as she thought for a moment. "Could you get me one of those long tubes? They're kind of bendy, and look like long straws." she instructed. She didn't want to commence what she was about to do, but she knew she had to. "And if you can, a blanket for afterwards. I can't have her being any colder than she is." She said finally, pressing her palms to Autumn's chest swiftly to feel around.

Ice watched curiously, still half guarding Keani in an effort to keep her rider safe. She laid her head on the floor, watching the newest girl.

Landing in the mouth of the cave Heir dis-mounts Licht and pulls out the bag of medical supplies "Will this help any" Heir says his voice frantic with stress

Seeing an opportunity to talk to Manjano, Flint removed locks foot from his head and wandered over. "how're ya feeling?" he asked. He examined the tree-like scar across his back. "looks like you were struck by lightning.." he muttered, mostly to himself.

Another dreary day for Robert set in place as he opened his big green eyes, a swift kick in his gut sending him in a panic. He was dragged up and tossed back out into the muddy backyard by his father. That night was the first night he had been allowed to spend in bed entirely, probably since his father hadn't gotten drunk the night before like he usually did. He looked behind him as his father slammed the door closed, flinching at the harsh bang. He slipped up and yawned, rubbing his eyes, his belly rumbling. This is how he started his beautiful morning.

After a long while he began to whimper, wanting free of the pin he was placed in, then he began to cry quietly when he was too hungry to think .He wondered to the door and knocked for his father, trembling, but his father didn't answer. He returned to the gate. After a long while he sat down by the gate, moaning and sobbing and holding his stomach in pain and agony. He needed food.

Lea sighed, still not trusting this new girl, but knowing that Autumn needed help. Walking over to the girl's side and kneeling down with the bag, Lea dug around inside of it for a long tube. She soon found one and handed it to the girl before calling Venice over. The furry dragon would definitely serve as the perfect blanket for Autumn. Falarion was still unsure of the newcomers and let out a confused growl at the boneknapper, which still made Falarion very nervous.

Manjano glanced up at Flint's question and shrugged before mumbling, "I guess I could be better. Some rest and I'll be good to go." Upon hearing Flint's comment about lightning, Manjano's eyes widened and he said, "That would actually make sense. Right before I passed out, there was a bright, blinding flash."

Flint examined the scar closely. He eventually touched it very lightly. "does it hurt to the touch?" he asked. Before Manjano could respond, there was some chirping from the tube flint had hung over his shoulder. Flint took the tube and held one end hear his shoulder after taking the cap off. The owl climbed out and made herself comfortable. Flint returned to examining the scar, gently touching it again. "excuse my curiosity. I've never known anyone who has even come close to being struck by lightning. The pattern is beautiful...."

Hazel took the tube from the girl, murmuring a distracted 'thank you' before looking at the odd tube. She shook her head and positioned herself over the girl. "I'd look away now if you've got a weak stomach." She instructed, before feeding the tube into Autumn's mouth and down her throat. Autumn audibly gagged as it pushed further into her lungs. She adjusted the tube until it was placed firmly in her left lung. It splashed into the residing liquids, loud enough for Hazel to hear. With a sigh Hazel placed her lips over the tube and begun sucking, every once in a while stopping to pour out the blood and water she had removed from the lungs from her mouth. The did this until no more liquids were left, trying so hard not to gag over the taste. She moved up and begun moving the tube to the other lung.

"Are you sure you can do this without throwing up?" Heir asked Hazel seeing the liquids on the ground from where the girl just dragged out the water and excess from the other girls lungs.

(So I'm finally supposed to get my pc replaced within the next few days, which means I'll be able to post more often, we with longer posts.)

Hazel looked over to the boy, her eyes focusing on him for a moment. There was a hint of "Don't talk to me, I'm about to throw up everywhere." in her eyes, but also a look of pure determination. Once the tube splashed into the other lung, the girl begun sucking once more. The tangy blood stung in her mouth as she drained the remaining liquids from Autumn's airways, spitting the gross concoction out and off to the side every once in a while. She just hoped that when this was finally over there would be some sort of water for her to get rid of the taste.

"Thats probably tasted awful" Heir said ruffling through his bag and pulled out a thermostat which held some water "Here" Heir said holding it out to Hazel the water sloshing as he moved it.

Chip, the elf owl on flints shoulder, hopped off and climbed up the remains of manjano's shirt, taking perch on his shoulder. Flint chuckled. "she seems to like you." the bird fluffed her feathers and settled in. Flint glanced at Kurt. "looks like your dragon was struck, too." he said, carefully approaching the dragon and examining his three-line scar. Flint was trying not to look over to where the new comer was sucking the fluids from autumns lungs through a tube. If he saw the tube jutting from autumns throat, he would almost definitely lose his lunch.

(How is there a thermos? It's before all that was invented.)

Keani slowly started to wake, her eyes fluttering and her head pounding. She tried to sit up, her arms shaking as she did. Ice immediately pushed her head under Keani's back to support her. "What happened?" She tried to ask, but barely any sound came out of her hoarse, scratchy throat.

(Yeah, I was also kind of questioning the tube. I'm not sure if they'd have invented such medial tools at the time)

Manjano frowned at the mention of Kurt also being struck, but felt calm when he saw that Kurt was in no immediate danger or pain. Slowly getting to his feet, Manjano walked to Kurt's side, wincing a bit as his joints protested along the way. Once at Kurt's side, Manjano put his hand on Kurt to keep him calm while he also examined the scar. It was amazingly intricate and beautiful, two characteristics one normally wouldn't associate with a scar. Kurt was equally curious about the scars he couldn't see and he spread out his wings one at a time as he tried to get a good look at the scars. The scars, while most prominent on Kurt's back and spine, also spread out along his wing membranes.

(Take this to the OOC thread so I can explain more to you there, preferably not in the ICC.)

Hazel let out a disgusted gasp once she was finished. She slowly removed the malleable tube from Autumn's throat and sighed, tossing it to the side. She stood up and brushed her pants off, plucking the device off the ground and standing with it. "Who's next?" she questioned with a half hearted chuckle.

Keani looked around, confused. She didn't know where she was, and her vision was blurry, but slowly becoming clearer. She tried again to ask what was happening, but only soundless air made it past her lips. Her eyes fell on Autumn, and her eyes widened when she processed what was in front if her. "Is she okay?" she tried to ask, but still no sound came out.

Lock wandered close to hazel and rolled on his back. He opened his mouth. Basically, 'me next! Me next!' flint wandered over and scratched the weak spot on locks neck. Lock was immediately sleeping. "he's a goofball." Flint explained simply. "and I guess Keani is the one in the next worst condition." he gestured to the girl, and finally noticed she was Sitting up. "well, that's a good sign." he muttered. "she's alive."

Hazel let out a sigh, walking over to Keani. "She'll be alright." she told the girl, as if she heard what the girl had said. "How about you? How are you feeling?" she asked, reaching Keani's side, shrugging off her jacket and pulling it over the shivering girl's shoulders.

Across the cave, Autumn wheezed and coughed, her dry lungs making a disgusting noise with her breaths. She was recovering, and in time the beaten girl would wake up.
