Fandom The Riders of Berk

Ice grumbled and laid protectively in front of her rider, one wing covering the shivering girl like an equally cold blanket. Keani had still not woken after she'd passed out in Kurt's care. Keani whimpered softly, her skin extremely pale and her frame shaking harder.

Venice looked up at Flint, her eyes sad, not exactly sure of what he was saying. When her gaze slowly shifted to Autumn, she seemed a little better, but she was still soaked, and blood was still covering her body. There was no doubt that Autumn was in horrible shape, and her still wheezing body didn't seem any better. Sure, wounds were healed, but her body was still in shock. Her breaths gurgled from the blood that pooled in her scratched lungs from the debris and cold air that she breathed before she was saved by Lock. Venice wanted so bad to curl up next to her owner, but she knew that would be a bad idea. Autumn's body seemingly slowed it's movement, her breaths becoming shorter and less frequent. She needed heat. She needed something to keep her warm. Her soaked dragon would prove useless, since her feathers trapped heat onto her body. Her blue lips quivered, her red hair sprawled upon her pale freckled face.

The storm apparently ceased. Outside, one can see sunlight shining on a rotating wall of cloud. They were now inside the eye of the storm. The stone floor of the cave still warmed from locks plasma bolts, and he fired a couple more into the stone beneath him. The ground warmed even more, and the whole cave was starting to loose it's chill. Autumn would be beginning to feel some warmth on her back, but flint knew it wouldn't be enough for the moment "Lea, they're probably both too cold. Help me move them a little closer to lock, where it's warmer. Anyone feel confident enough to go out and collect some wood for a fire? I estimate five minutes before the eye passes. Just some from directly above us." Flint positioned himself at Autumns arms and prepared to move her. He waited for Lea to be at her feet before he began to shift her.

Lea saw how badly in shape that Keani was and how Ice's equally soaked body wasn't doing Keani any justice. Biting her lip since Lea just wanted to be with her brother for the moment, Lea forced herself to untangle herself from Manjano. She then stood up and slowly began walking towards Ice with her hands up defensively. Looking in Ice's eyes so she'd know that Lea meant no ill intent, Lea said softly, "Keani needs to be warmed and Lock can keep her warm, Ice. You're only making it worse for Keani." Lea then stipped a few feet away, waiting for Ice to respond. She heard Flint behind her, but ignored him for the moment as she focused on Keani and Ice.

Kurt heard Flint's idea and huffed before slowly standing and picking up Manjano by biting down on the loose ends of his shirt. Manjano rolled his eyes at this, but didn't complain as Kurt carefully ambled over to Lock before gently placing Manjano down beside him. Kurt then looked up at Lock and snorted at him before sitting down on his hind legs and blinking at him.

Falarion picked up her head and watched Lea's interaction with Ice carefully, ready to leap up and defend her rider if necessary.

Ice bared her teeth defensively, but let Lea approach. She slowly lifted her wing, growling softly as a warning that if Lea hurt her rider, there would be awful consequences. Keani's skin had turned a dusty blue, and she couldn't stop shaking now.

Venice swooped beside Flint, assisting him in moving her rider. Autumn would be a lot warmer, yes, but Venice feared it simply wouldn't be enough. Picking up Autumn's back legs with the tip of her snout, she huffed hot air onto the girl, before setting her down beside Lock. Once she was safely on the floor Venice pressed her head to the girl's chest, letting out a long sigh. Her massive ears flicked when she listened to Autumn's heart beat, her eyes widening slightly. It was slow, and seemed to be depleting in speed. It pounded hard, working as much as it could, trying to hard to keep the girl alive. The dragon whimpered then begun tearing at the girl's soaked clothes. She removed the fur shawl and her coat, then pulled off each boot. She was left with a torn teeshirt and damp pants, but this would help her quite a bit. She pressed the girl as close as she could to Lock, but was still nervous. She looked at the remaining riders with sad eyes, pleading they do anything that they could.

Lock appeared quite confused as to why most of the other riders were being placed around him. But, he didn't complain nor move. "that works too guess. Thank you, Venice." Flint said as she helped him move autumn. Manjaro was then placed next to autumn. Flint heard Ice's growling and saw Lea going in to move Keani. He walked over, slowly and ensuring ice saw him as no threat to her rider, to help Lea.

Flying over the Storm looking down Heir and Licht were looking over flying up high, but today felt different for some reason.

Lea saw Flint moving to help her and nodded at him as she slowly maneuvered herself around Ice. She then knelt down beside Keani and hooked one of her arms over Lea's neck before Lea wrapped her arm around Keani's waist. With one of Keani's sides secured for her to be moved, Lea then waited for Flint to take Keani's other side so they could move her over to Lock.

Manjano sighed contently when he joined Lock's side, instantly feeling the increase in temperature. He grinned up at Lock and said, "Hey, Lock, thanks for warming us up." Kurt instantly joined Manjano and Lock's sides as he lay down beside Lock and then lay his head onto Manjano's lap. Manjano smiled down at Kurt and said softly, "Thank you for helping Keani and healing Autumn, buddy." Kurt snorted at Manjano and then snuggled into his lap, causing Manjano to grin at him.

Falarion snorted as everyone was moved away from her, seeing that she clearly wasn't warm enough for them. She was about to move as well, but then remembered the tube with the little owl in it that was beside her. Falarion then lay her head down as she curiously peered inside of the tube's opened side, staring at the owl and wondering what to do with it.

Ice slowly lifted herself up and moved away enough that the pair could pick up Keani, puffing air at them as a warning. She sat down nearby and started trying to get the water off of her drenched wings. She watched the pair carefully to make sure no harm came to Keani.

"Licht if your cold you can always" Heir started to say but was interrupted as Licht blew a stream of fire through the air lighting up the night with its heat and radiance.

Venice was finally dry. The heat of the cave and the sun outside ended up drying her fur and wings, leaving her softer and fluffier than ever. The Dragon moved to Autumn's side, walking around her in circles like a big dog trying to get comfortable. When she finally laid down she curled around her rider, using one wing to wrap around Autumn, and the other to wrap around Manjano. It was her way of saying thank you. Her wings fluttered over their bodies, pulling them closer, pulling Kurt with them.

Going down to the ground for a landing Licht dived before he decided to glide down to earth landing almost silently. "Good job Licht" Heir said throwing a cod to Licht in appreciation.

Flint did the same as Lea, putting Keani's other arm around his neck. They proceeded to move her, laying her against locks wing. Lock gave the toothless grin to Manjaro when he was thanked. Chip was snoozing soundly after sell that happened. Falarion would have a lovely view of the owls tail feathers, as Lea had opened the wrong end.

(sorry for the bad posts. Had a bad day and night.)

Ice watched them take Keani, her eyes never straying from her master. Keani started to warm up very slowly, and after only five minutes, Ice was getting highly impatient.

Lea stood up after they finished moving Keani, stretching a bit. She let out a sigh of relief as she felt that everyone was on the road to recovery now. Looking over at Ice, Lea easily felt her growing anxiety. Lea then got an idea and asked Ice, "Hey, Ice, it's going to take a while for Keani to fully recover. Would you be able to get some firewood and kindling for us?"

Manjano was surprised by Venice's sudden appearance and cuddling, but didn't complain. With Lock's warmth and Venice's fur and feathers, Manjano was starting to feel much better and his joints were beginning to loosen up again. Kurt's eyes slowly closed, his own exhaustion finally taking a toll on him. His breathing slowed and then became steady as his head still rested in Manjano's lap.

Falarion huffed when she saw the back end of Chip, not exactly what'd been expecting to see. She then sat up, looking over at Lea to double check that she was okay. Satisfied that her rider was just a bit stressed, Falarion lay her head down on her front legs and wondered if it'd be okay for her to take a nap.

Ice made a gurgling sound and slowly left, worried about Keani. She came back a moment later with an entire tree in her jaw. She sat outside of the cave, unsure of how to take it inside. She made her gurgling sound again, flapping her wings to get the attention of the riders.

Autumn's breathing was starting to regulate once more. It seemed as if slowly the blue lipped girl was regaining consciousness. Venice let out a soft whimper when she felt her rider stir. Autumn gasped in her unintentional slumber, sounding as if she was having a bad dream or in need of more air. Either way it frightened her dragon. There was a low gurgling sound with each breath that Autumn took from the mixture of water and blood that splashed in her lungs. Venice listened to it with curiosity, very nervous over her rider's well-being. The dragon simply sighed, knowing there was nothing she could do.

Ice would have a reason to start panicking. The eye wall had slowed down, but it had almost reached them. The sun was now blotted out again. Flint went through and checked on all those huddled around his dragon. Then, he heard autumns gurgling. He skidded to her side and rolled her over into the recovery position. "hack it up, autumn. Get it all out." he said, whether she was actually concious or not.

Ice started making as much noise as possible to get attention. She didn't know how to get the tree into the cave. She tried going in, but the ends of the tree didn't fit in the mouth of the cave. She sat dowm grumpily, making more noise.

Autumn was rolled, the liquids splooshing audibly in her sore lungs. Once on her side, she began heaving, her entire body shaking. She wasn't fully conscious yet, and it was possible she wouldn't be for a while. Venice stepped back, rather scared for her rider as she moved away to let Flint do his thing.

Autumn began violently coughing, the watered blood sputtering out of her mouth and splashing onto the cave floor.

Lea was about to rush to Autumn's aid when Flint beat her to it. Seeing that Autumn was being cared for, Lea turned her attention to Ice, who was stuck outside with...a tree? Lea blinked and then jogged to the entrance before shouting over the wind at Ice, "Leave the tree, Ice! Get inside before the storm comes back!" Lea then jogged back to Kurt's side, turning to watch the cave entrance for Ice to return.

Manjano relaxed by the dragons' sides, the heat from all of them finally bringing life back to his body and joints. Sighing, Manjano lay his head against Kurt's side, closing his eyes and deciding to take a nap for now. Kurt looked down at Manjano with relief, snorting in his face and then nuzzling him as he nodded off.

Falarion let out a huff, resigning herself to take a nap for now, with Chip in the tube at her side. Lea was safe at the moment and nobody else appeared to be in immediate danger so Falarion felt like she could finally relax.

Ice growled. The girl had asked for wood. She tried again to get inside with the tree, and the broke the top off by acciden. That small break made it manageable to bring the tree in, and she dropped it in the back, spitting out leaves from her mouth. She grumbled and sat down, looking at Keani. She was still blue and shivering harder.

Autumn rolled onto her back once more, a steady stream of blood running down her bottom lip to her chin. Is dripped down her neck and settled into her collar bone. Not all of the liquids were out, but for now it would suffice. Autumn was too weak to wake up. She could hear what was going on around her, and feel Locks warm scales against her, but it felt as if she was in a coma that trapped her in her own mind. Autumn wanted to scream, but instead she lay still, mentally crying for help

Ice moved forward and started nudging her rider with her nose, wanting to wake the girl. Ice made a gurgling sound to try and wake her, pawing at the cave floor.
