Over 5000 years ago there was a war between the moon and sun goddesses. The sun goddess, Celeste, had grown arrogant over the humans praise and believed that all humans should follow her church.
Luna disagreed, she saw the suffering of the humans who refused and used her power to give the weak civilians to fight back against Celeste's armies. This created the werewolves, vampires and dark elves; these races began to worship her as if she was their mother.
During the end of the war, seeing the tired faces of her people, she went to make a treaty with Celeste and ended up falling into a trap. She got sealed away and fell asleep until, a construction company accidentally broke the seal.
