This is where all the Character Sheets go.

Just a few things: Your characters were picked to investigate rather serious events, and while ten-year-old children regularly do that in the main games, all characters going on this journey should be old enough to be considered adults.
There is no upper limit on the ages for the characters. If you have an adventurous grandpa, go for it.

FCs are optional. You can post one if you want to, but you don‘t have to.

Since all Pokémon, including your starters, are randomized please PM me with the region you want to receive your first Pokémon from. I will then send you a PM telling you who your first companion is.
You will have to determine whether your Pokémon is male or female.

You can decide if you want to receive a Pokémon still as an egg so that you can reveal in an in-character post what you got, or you can already start with a freshly hatched Pokémon.

First Impression
Kayo usually has what some people call a "resting bitch face". She has a straight posture while wearing loose clothes in toned down colors (i.e. yukata or kimono for men) as a try to hide her most obvious weakness. It's not often that people see her laugh, and she doesn't appear as someone who likes to joke around a lot. Her silhouette is rather lean, and her movements show high body control and dexterity.
She acts carefully around Pokémon and obviously doesn't trust them, especially the wild ones. Pokémon who live with humans aren't as unsettling for her, but she still observes them with eagle eyes.
Character Background
Kayo grew up in Johto as a child of mixed heritage of a woman from Johto and a man from Kalos, and has two siblings who are seven and nine years older than her.
Due to her heritage and the missing limb, she had challenges in life that others didn't have, but she always somehow managed to make the best out of them. Thanks to her patient parents she's very capable of living on her own and even make some money as a scribe, however she decides to still live with her parents and support them with what she can provide. Kayo's family is everything to her and she would do anything to protect them, especially her nieces and nephews.
The same ambition that made her learn how to read and write made her learn how to use a katana. She wanted to be able to defend herself and as of today is very capable of doing so.

First Impression: Wayland is a very down to earth individual, who often times is looked up to as a mentor by the current, younger generation. He tries to look at any situation practically, and will on a rare occasion overthink things. It is apparent he has been through a lot, having battle scars both physical and those not so visible. He cares for his fellow man and the bonds they have with their pokemon, and will do what he can to help foster those bonds.

He has also lost his right foot, a setback overcome by the metal boot he designed himself to look as close to a human foot as he could manage. It does not function. It does not move. But it does help him keep his balance.

Character Background: Wayland has already lived the biggest majority of his life before our story begins. He was born to a couple from the Kanto region, a couple who moved to Johto not too long after Wayland's birth. He was the oldest of the four Smith siblings, but to this day is the sole surviving member of them all. He grew up learning the family trade from his father who learned it from his father before him, showing a great deal of talent even from a very young age. At the age of 18 he married the girl of his dreams, Brunhilda, and as their children were born and raised under their care and tutelage, it seemed as if the Smith name would carry on for a long time to come.

Of course, Fate has a funny way of coming along and tugging at the strings of reality. One by one the members of the Smith family would dwindle and die, until finally only Wayland himself alone remained. Even Wayland was no stranger to the changes one goes through after having lost someone so dear to them, though to the rest of the world he copes about as well as one would expect. When he is surrounded by others Wayland does his best to keep up his brave face, but once he is alone it takes all of his strength not to break down and cry.

First Impression
Riley prefers comfy and pracitcal clothing. When standing normally he appears to be slightly hunched over which is mostly just a bad habit due to his daily work routine of collecting herbs and other materials. As soon as he picks up his bow his posture straightens and his usually soft and warm expression turns into a concentrated frown. His slender and not very muscular body together with his soft facial features and long hair often mislead people and lets them assume he's a woman. He often comes across as naive.
Character Background
Riley lives in the village that will later become Eterna City in the Sinnoh Region. He moved there alone at the age of 20 after having spent all of his life so far in the Hoenn region. An older woman took him in, and passed all her knowledge about plants, animals, and their medical use on to him. When she passed away Riley took over her role as the village's apothecary. He rarely speaks about his past and becomes very distant when someone tries to get him to talk about it. Usually he's a very warm-hearted and kind person, everyone in the village likes him; he enjoys spending the time with the children and teaching them about the flora and fauna close to their homes. Although being way past the common age of founding an own family he doesn't seem to be very interested in that. He's not the type for confrontation and believes that almost all conflicts can be solved through talking.

First Impression: Usually caught with a content smile on her face, rarely with her eyes affixed to one point. Constantly looking around and taking in all the sights and all the people and pokemon each place has to offer. Casually dressed with a relaxed and laid-back look. Very out-going and bubbly personality with bright and scanning purple eyes. Seems she might get so caught up in taking everything in that she might forget small details. Very expressive with her whole body, almost always talking with her hands. Almost incapable of sitting still.

Character Background: Born to a nomadic couple, Layla spent most of her life on the move. She never really got the chance to settle down one place for more than a month. Her parents taught her the means of survival with minimal supplies and of course how to defend herself. They spent most of their time traveling the Unova region and it's borders. It wasn't a bad life in her eyes at all. Her parents were fun and kind and accommodating. She didn't get to stay in one place but she hardly ever wanted to. She loved the fact that they could go just about anywhere they wanted and then head somewhere completely different. She loved the sense of adventure but she also had a great interest in the people they met along the way. It was baffling to her at first how different people could be. Her interest grew into her focus as she traveled with her parents. She would constantly be scribbling notes when they visited a new place. Speaking with everyone she could asking them questions both personal and cultural. The diversity really was fascinating. A while into her endeavor several of her notes blew into the wind and as fate would have it, ended up in the clutches of Trent Quagebeur. A relatively high up individual at a college university in Castellia City. He was taken aback by the wide range of places and details packed within the notes and they had a long talk about the study of anthropology and her findings. This led to the pair co-authoring a book on the different groups within Unova, Settlements of Unova. Of course she didn't get a whole lot of fame or money for it because of course not a whole lot of people share the same interests. During the time she was writing the book, her parents told her it was time for them to move on but encouraged her to stay and find her own path. They left on good terms with a promise to meet again.
