Filled with DETERMINATION
On the world of Oren-Gar is the small nation of Lohmaar, ruled by the Arch Duke, Eli Vos Lohmaar. Duke Lohmaar has two children, but it is his youngest that causes him a great deal of frustration; a girl named Kara El Lohmaar. Haughty, arrogant, cruel, and vicious, her poisonous personality was matched only by her beauty, with raven hair, blue eyes, and a devilish smile, she has beguiled - and destroyed - many. Eli allowed her to get away with her antics under pressure from her mother, Duchess Karin El Lohmaar, as she was her mother's favourite, and he loved his wife so. But things went too far when Kara tried to woo a diplomat from the Saringtasia Principality, and when he rejected her on account of him being married, she accused the man of sexually assaulting her. As punishment, the diplomat was flogged and sent back... but only after was Kara's deception revealed, as she was bragging to her servants.
And then, Saringtasia invaded.
Eli had reached his limit and reached out to Saringtasia to offer peace terms, but was told that the only thing that would end this war was the capitulation of the Duchy, and the execution of her royal family. This enraged Eli who wanted to punish Kara, but Karin refused to allow him to execute her, but they were under enormous pressure from the people; Kara needed to face some sort of punishment for her actions. So, in a fit of frustration, Eli declared that Kara's fate shall be placed in the hands of the gods, and so stripped her of her titles and privileges, and sent her to boot camp to be enlisted in the war.

Today the final push against the Saringatasia Principality, and the Duchy of Lohmaar has sent their eldest to oversee the surrender of the principality. Of course, the eldest will need a bodyguard, and so is assigned a purportedly elite soldier in battered, scavenged armor named 'Skull' owing to the damage on the bottom left side of their Barbute helmet, making it appear as if the helmet had a skeletal grin. What will happen next is unknown, but surely it will ripple through the entire Duchy and perhaps, the world.

This is a high fantasy world, with a unique magic system (detailed below). You would play the eldest sibling of the Lohmaar family, left intentionally vague so you can develop the character as you so desire. Their relationship with their sibling can be anywhere from rocky to downright toxic, we can discuss details later. Regardless, the only part scripted out is what I have written above, everything else will unfold organically. This RP is also LGBTQ friendly (even if some of the characters are not) so your character can be gay, lesbian, trans, wtv you want. My RP style is that we both have our own separate OC's we use, and then we share the rest of the characters as a scene dictates, with the only requirement being that they stay consistent.
I will now discuss the magic system.
In this world, there are three kinds of magic: Primal, Witchcraft, and Dark.
Primal Magic is a power born naturally into creatures we would term a monster: such as goblins, slimes, dragons, and other mythical creatures. This power is innate and cannot be used by anyone else under normal circumstances. That said, humanity has discovered that by harvesting body parts from monsters and using them in the assembly of weapons and tools, they can replicate some of the magic used by these creatures. However, creation of magical armaments and tools requires an extremely skilled craftsman, as failure to create an enchanted item can result in anything from the enchantment not taking, to an explosion when used, thus are magic weapons extraordinarily rare.
WItchcraft is actually two different parts of magic: Celestial and Demonic. Both the Divine and the Damned wield their own individual magics, each based around the concept the individual embodies and their form. Normally, mortals cannot wield this power, unless they make a contract with one of the otherworldly parties, gaining power in exchange for their soul being merged with that of their patron. Through them, their patron will work to enact their will to aid a cause in the high heavens or deep hells, while the witch gains magic to use as they see fit, provided it doesn't interfere with the plans of their patron. Holy Witches are not only accepted but exalted as saints, while demonic witches are reviled as corrupted, but it's usually hard to tell which witch is which until they unleash their powers. All that said, those who are able to serve as a vessel for a celestial are rare, so are coveted by those who discover them.
Dark Magic is the only magic native to the mortal races, and is both the most understood and most feared of all magic. Dark Magic manifests only in those who have suffered severe trauma, and asserts itself as a defensive measure against that trauma. This magic may also be accompanied by mild mutations, such as a third eye, wings, fangs, or any other number of additional limbs or body parts. It is not known why some gain this magic and others do not, what governs those whose trauma triggers Dark Magic and almost all experiments to artificially induce the power have failed. The only truly understood aspect of the process is that the recipient must be unwilling to the process of trauma that imparts magic, and that the magic will always be related to the trauma.
Okay, so I hope that this covers everything, DM me if interested!
