Its eyes cold and lifeless, it took one step. Another. I could feel its lack of heat. It opened its mouth and let out a disgusting sound. It them started moving faster towards me. I clenched my teeth and held my ground. It wouldn't, no, it couldn't get past me.

Its body fell and it tumbled down the hill of snow, making those gut-wrenching noises again. As I peeked to see if it was still alive, butterflies exploded in my stomach. It was indeed still alive, and it had friends. One of those beasts even had an egg between its feet. How could it even create life with such an odd figure and no legs? I was truly in shock. My assistant ran to me, panting but not sweating. Sweating would mean death out here. He held a book with those wretched things on the cover acting innocent. When he spoke, my eyes narrowed in shock. My facial expression was one of disbelief. How could I ever trust him again? I felt betrayed.
