Lady Serena Lancaster III
71st Baroness of Lancaster; Knight-Captain of the Royal Regiment of Dragoons: Sixth Squadron​

Born into an old family, Serena exemplifies the "gentlemanly" attitude of nobility: strong-willed, strong-minded and more than courageous enough to back her own mouth. This combined with the characteristic Northerner bloodymindedness, and there are scant few scenarios that Lady Serena isn't willing to personally step into. Naturally, she was a perfect fit to lead her own squadron of Dragoons, with whom she has earned a number of honors and pointless medals (though the Royal Court do their best to downplay her Heroism during the Disaster at Blogia, where her retinue stood out for being the only unit to not have broken ranks and routed during that battle).

Perhaps the mixture of Noble tact and Northerner attitude is why she finds herself connecting more with her subjects and fellow Northerners than the nobles in the Royal Court. More than several times has her ardent advocacy for her homeland drawn amusement and bemusement alike, particularly from those who think her little beyond her dark hair and red eyes: common traits of the far north.

Depending on who you ask, Lady Serena can be two totally different persons he Lady-Officer Serena and Baroness Serena are two totally different people. To her subjects and soldiers: she is the epitome of chivalry, and a depressing exception to the image of incompetence commissioned officers are generally known for. It helps that Serena isn't afraid to get into the mud and blood like her soldiers, a thing which has earned her a staunch loyalty in her unit.

At home though, when she's surrounded by friends and family: Serena is a different person. Graceful, ladylike, and on a few occasions: childish. While Knight-Captain Lancaster is known to be focused and willful, Baroness Lancaster is spirited and adventurous, with a keen talent for dancing and the piano. It's a paradoxical character that Serena manages to toe without looking too strange, and many comment that, were it not for her status as a Dragoon, Lady Serena would have made for a fantastic dancer... If she isn't distracted with collecting stuffed animals or exploring the local town...
