[The OOC Thread] Where Dreams Come True [The Chosen of The Void ]

Also, I'm not sure I follow correctly your calculations, but FIRST the armor gets subtracted to the raw damage, THEN the result gets rolled to find the actual HLs inflicted.

damage dice to be rolled = Str + Dam + ExcessSuxx - NaturalSoak - ArmorSoak

*sad face*

Sorry, I messed up the rules. I will fix that right away.

I remember the invisible thing.... now. It's been a few days. :P

EDIT: Till then do your next action, maybe we can do two turns this morning :D

Also, Hector's damage with his SOULSTEEL POWERBOW should be 7L before accuracy bonuses. 2 Strength + 3L Long Powerbow + 2L against living creatures due to Soulsteel. That and his accuracy gets a base 10 total from the 4 Dex + 3 Archery + 1 Long Powerbow + 2 acc against living creatures due to Soulsteel.

Edit: And don't get me started on Hattori. You've totally ignored our weapon stat lines, it seems. :P

No worries, but please don't do it again.

Hattori has a 4L DMG on his weapon actually, what do you mean?

EDIT: Oh it will happen again, I assure you. I am not the best with all of the Exalted ruleset... getting there. Day by day, but you will need to allow leniency good sir.

Bone Dragon's Claw: Spd 4 Acc +6 (16) Dam +4L (9L) Def +1 (6) Rate 3 Attune: 5

So there is no confusion on my part... Oh and I forgot about soulsteels attributes, you are right. EDIT: Ah, I screwed up his accuracy. Bah, why hell. Yeah I guess I sadly didn't focus on the stats and I focus more on the Wall O' Text. The guy buried in the snow... well he is probably dead completely. The guards with bows are probably the same, but I will fix it in a bit. Sorry guys.

Meh, take it easy.

Exalted rules are a machine of Death, and drove me crazy several times.

And good luck with keeping everything in mind when we'll go to Mass Combat... ^^

Well, you should see my Lawgivers game. TheRealBrickWall takes out the "Canon Bat" every time I mess something up. I have welts.

Though I fully express that you guys should feel free to do the same. It is the only way I can learn the stuff best. There are after all, a lot of books I have not read through yet.

I am reluctant to read the Sidereals to their fullest extent too, but I know they play such an important role in a game like this. I just... I just want explosions! :(

EDIT: You guys are death machines by the way. Why I have the towns completely mortal was probably a bad mistake haha. Those humans are as good as dead.

If it makes your life any easier, remember that damage against extras is not rolled, but post-soak damage is divided by 3 and applied as the appropriate type in levels automatically. Extras have a single -1 level, a single -3 level, and then are either Incap. or Dead. Assuming that most of these townspeople are unarmored extras, and they have no natural lethal soak, that means Hattori takes them straight to Dead, as 9L divided by 3 is 3L, which puts them nicely in the dead category.

Certainly, we don't want to do any combat rules, even mass combat for now. The towns folk will be narrated to death. :P

Then its off to Furl's Tower I assume... But thats up to you guys.

Judging by the posts, I would say Rondo and Hector are the only ones questioning whether their now void-like life style is a good thing. Then again, Hattori was always a ruthless dude and the void can change a man.

It has done that to Hector too. He is on the precipice, due to his damaged Compassion, and unlike the others, he has the knowledge about who he really serves and what he is getting into. Fact is, he's trying to use some long term logic to decide which way to turn. We shall see what happens.

Edit: So where's the fixed round?

Work got busy. Will do it when I get home. Give me thirty minutes. Also I will update next round, god knows if I don't do it quick enough we will be in Exalted combat for five months.

Did you guys like your combat descriptions by the way? Some people don't like the GM narrating their movements.

EDIT: Erm, and my books are at home, I wanted to look at specifics.

To be honest, I prefer narrating my own character's stuff.

Especially because if we write and then you repeat, it becomes kinda redundant.

Blackadder, where is your bow located in the books? Or is it something in the ink monkeys?

EDIT: That's cool xarvh, but how else will I liken you to a salamander?

Core Book: Artifact Weapons section. It's a Long Powerbow with the Soulsteel as a magical material.
Okay, I guess Strix Bite is the name you gave it. Sorry it said 10 ACC on it and I wasn't sure if it was a (CRAZY) artifact I didn't know about or its just your stats combined :)

Okay kids tell me what I missed. I just added 2 dice for damage and acc for the arrows and 1 soak for lethal body soak. Hector your bow says 7L, I assume that's your STR + BOW + Soul Steel

Also Hattori has a shit ton of dice for accuracy, its.... frightening.

Eel is a very dignified salamander. =P

I'll try to be less invisible, so you can describe the reactions of the hapless extra as they see a very dignified salamander climbing around.

And yes.

You know Exalts?

You can throw any finite or infinite number of mortals at them, and they will win.

You know Solars?

They kick the other Exalts ass.

You know Abyssal?

Like Solars, only specialized in gruesome killing.

Plus, we are the player characters and we stunt.

Tearing down six wooden hut?

This is a job for Dragon Blooded.

Want to make it a challenge?

Have us tear down a whole metropolis in less then a day with no preparation.

We can do that. ^^

Amen!

Bardlebee: Yep. That is correct. Except I think you also forgot the part about subtracting soak from raw damage before rolling for damage dealt.

Guard Arrow 1: 4L

Guard Arrow 2: 4L

Guard Arrow 3: 5L

Guard Arrow 4: 4L

Guard Ground: no damage

Guard Ground 2: DEAD (And buried)

Guard Ground 3: no damage

Druggies: Priceless

EDIT: I still have to fix what Blackadder noted, but keep going with the round, either way they are dead next round. I assume.

By the way, if you don't go before the NPC I prefer that you just put your action up anyway and creat an "IF-THEN" statement.

I mean, you don't have to, but it makes PbP combat faster if you say something like.

"If the guy doesn't attack me, I am attacking him, but if he does attack me THEN I am going to use Seven Shadow Evasion"

Code:
while len(ListOfNPCs) > 0:
  print DeepAndExistentialistThoughts()
  attack(random.select(ListOfNPCs))
  attack(random.select(ListOfNPCs))

Hope Python is ok. ^^

Heh, someone got the joke.

Sadly I am only half-decently versed in C++ and Pearl, which is pretty funny. Oh and some VB.net, but thats a silly language built on lies and deceit or so I hear.

I am more of a network engineer kinda guy, Cisco CCNA stuff you know.
