I guess I'll just grab a bow somewhere or improvise.


Likely right now Eel does not even realize that he can use a bow.

Thank you for reminding me.


Everyone gets their Artifacts that they had gotten through character creation. Additionally they get another two points of artifiacts each. You can allot it all to armor, all to weapons, or half and half, or just on a trinket.
 
xarvh: I don't think so, primarily because Hector only has Liege 1, for instance. :D


Regardless, I got a Soulsteel Bracers set... useful for lowering enemy soak and giving me a higher Dodge DV. :)

Can I just go with a single dot of artifact and use the other to rise Whispers?

No silly. Sorry it wasn't more obvious in my update, but the Lion basically alloted you some artifact goodies and sent you on your marry way. He had better things to do. My first update (Rest in Peace) was a lot bigger and had more details about him hand giving you stuff.... So, you only get the two artifact points, in game. If you had background points you wish to use, sure!

I am looking forward to close all the gates so that my beloved companions can start going Abyssal on the town without too much worries about survivors.
 
No, I want to see where they are and understand how can I close them, so that if I want to do it I can do it faster.
 
There are two large gates on either side of the town, roughly 15 feet tall each, easily enough for an exalt to close it. Also, you do not see any exalts in the area, at least outside or none that's not being covered by a artifact... which there are none. As far as your recollection this place did not have exalts, and doesn't seem to have any now.
 
I will make another post about the sorrounding area in a little bit. Don't let that stop you guys on what you would like to do. If you want to make a B-Line for Furl's tower, great. If you want to close the gates and slaughter the innocent, great. But, your going to need a detailed plan to do the latter, considering the hustle and bustle of this crazy new market.

Eel has no interest about killing Furl, but will gladly witness the show.


Closing the gates was more about a 'no survivors' policy, which the Boss seems to have indicated with the 'kill everyone' statement.


What plans do you guys have?


Also: I am not sure yet about how to play Eel, I will have to experiment a bit before I can make him consistent.


Let's call it character development.


He is accepting the orders without thinking due to his Conviction 1.


I wanted his Compassion 4, with an epic amount of rationalization, to bring him to be a bloodlusty monster, "life-is-suffering-death-is-peace" style, someone that responds to the pleads of the oppressed by killing them, intimately convinced that it is the right thing.


If this is a too liberal interpretation of Compassion, I will reduce it.
 
It's fine, also I am going to make this offer to you guys. If you stick with this game I am going to have my brother draw epic scenes or deeds your characters do, sort of like the pictures in the exalted books. He is not professional as the sense he has been published, but he is amazingly good. I have the excess money and I am sure he would appreciate the extra money.
