Fandom The Only Way To Go Is Up! ~The Story~

"I'm Kochiya Sanae, living god and the shrine maiden of the Moriya Shrine," she introduced as she gave Akira a small bow. "It's nice to meet you, Mr. Kurusu."
"Oh come on, I get that enough from mom..." Star said as she crossed her arms and pouted.

"Pleasure, Ms.Kochiya." Akira gave a small nod in return. He had his hands in his pockets as he let out a warm smile.

"So... what Dimension are you from, Sanae?" Star asked as she began to bite on her wand.

"If you don't mind, can you explain what are these 'Dimensions'? You seemed to be more knowledgeable about our current situation."

"..."
"That's right, Zach! Terminator..." York observed Penny, "In the Film, an android from the future disguised itself as a human..."
York notes her hiccups, "You're lying... You're an android aren't you?"
"..."
"You're right, Zach... She's the Tin Man to our Dorthy..." York said with a smile.

'Dorothy? Isn't that from a fairy tale?' Penny noticed the name. She loved Fairy tales since her 'Father' read it to her everytime she has to sleep. "I guess it's no use hiding it...Yes, I am an Android." Penny admitted, putting on a modest expressions. "My Father built me to feel emotion; to emulate the same feelings as humans do. While most girls are born, I am created..." she found herself repeating the same thing she said to Ruby when she found out that she was an Android. 'Ruby...I wonder where you are?' True, there was no sign of her friend, and she wonders if Mr. York would accept her...Perhaps he, too, can be her friend?

"Uh, yeah... you know they're like the uh... well..." Star chewed on her wand once more as she tried to think of how to explain what came so naturally to her to understand.

Star shook her head, "I honestly have no idea what's going on... I was just using my dimensional scissors, hoping through dimensions having fun with my BFFs, Marco and Ponyhead... and then poof! I'm here!"

"Well, my story isn't as exciting. I was just going to sleep last night, and I just happened to wake up here—someplace I've never even seen before," Sanae explained.

In a distant land brimming with fire and iron, a massive tower rose high amongst the surrounding kingdom. The loud clangs of metal and stone could be heard from within one of the uppermost rooms of that tower. Exposed as it was to the outside world, thick gusts of wind entered and exited the room as two figures seemed to dance around each other within. One of which was an oddly armored giant who rose far taller than the only doorways in and out of the room, dwarfing his assailant easily.

The reflective polished floor allowed him to easily slide across the room to dodge a searing ball of fire launched by his assailant, the swordsman gripping his massive blade tightly as he seemed to dash across the open room in an instant. The assailant rolled out of the way as the long blade sliced against the floor he once stood upon, using the short time the knight took to steady himself to attack him.

The giant leaped back out of the way, his wounds leaking his very essence upon the polished floor beneath as he aimed the tip of his blade towards the assailant and lunged forward. The attacker ducked under the blade and pressed both hands against the Swordsman's chest piece. Another great blast of fire sent the warrior slamming into the pillars behind him. The pillars buckled under his weight, several falling to more easily reveal the open air beyond.

The knight gave a low grumble as he rose once more, then leaped into the air towards the attacker before bringing his massive blade down. Once more the attacker rolled out of the way, but the swordsman was prepared this time, suddenly one of his large hands shot from his weapon's handle and grabbed hold of his assailant. Standing up, the warrior tossed his foil into the air as he reared back his blade with the other.

It punctured cleanly the attacker's body, and soon the large blade glowed as its hunger was slated by his quarry's blood. Once charged enough, the swordsman flicked his blade and launched the assailant off of it. Surprisingly, the short individual wasted no time in standing once more before glaring at the swordsman who readied his blade.

As the warrior's glowing sword was readied, the attacker's hands lit once more with more searing fire. As one they launched powerful magic at each other, yet the warrior's travelling slash of magic which glided towards its target with haste was nearly completely swallowed by the enormous fire ball which seemed to span the entire room. His eyes widened beneath his helmet, but the warrior had no time to dodge before the fireball connected with him and launched him through the remaining pillars and sent him spiraling towards the ground at the base of the tower.

As he fell, Sir Alonne resigned himself to defeat. A fair, honorable duel between two powerful beings resulted in him coming out on the bottom. It was more than he'd expected from his end, as the time went by the Swordsman had feared that he would be taken by some kind of foul play or die a meaningless death no one would remember. This... this was fair to him...

Accepting that, he gripped his blade in both hands and brought it close as the ground below rushed up to meet the giant figure. But as soon as he was sure his massive body was to crumble against the merciless ground-

Sir Alonne's eyes opened, then slowly shifted to take in his environment. Instead of becoming a flattened mass, the warrior was sat meditating in the midst of a forest. Within his odd helmet, he slowly narrowed his eyes before shifting his gaze to the side. Stabbed into the ground beside him was his Bewitched Nagamaki, small fragments of sunlight witched past through the trees reflected off its blade onto the swordsman's helmet.

Giving a small, questioning hum, Sir Alonne rose to his feet and freed his weapon from the earth's embrace. He held it in front of hi for a moment before skillfully sheathing it at his side. He considered the size of the trees around him, confirming that he was indeed unfamiliar with this area, then reached towards one and took hold of it.

He scaled the large plant until he found a suitable branch to stand on, balancing himself on it so he could more easily study the area. He continued silently observing the area before spotting the village not too far off. Now that looked like a place which could sate his confusion, and so he took note of its direction before leaping from the tree.

He landed in the grass with a much quieter thud than one would expect, then straightened himself before beginning to walk in the direction of the village.

The young samurai's eyes open as he jumps up off the grass with vigor, "You beat me Hibachi-dono!" he yelled jubilantly, before pausing.
Where was he?
Jinbei was standing in a clearing hearing soft receding footsteps in the distance, his eyes widen in realization, "Ahh! Tenma!" He realized that Tenma had pranked him! Truly he wouldn't have known if it weren't for the footsteps. He ran over to the footsteps through the thicket and jumped in front of 'Tenma' except...
"Who... are you?"
He was standing in front of him a giant as tall as Shungiku - No even taller! He had a large build unlike the magistrate member and had practical armor he had never seen before, but he saw something he recognized.
"Are you a samurai!?"
The man had a huge katana most definitely complimenting his warrior status.

Sir Alonne paused as the young man jumped in front of him, tilting his head to the side to view him. He had heard the footsteps coming, and had placed a hesitant hand on his sheathed Nagamaki but resolved to let it intercept him. As he looked the young man over he tilted his head to the side in consideration. he continued his observation as his newfound acquaintance spoke, watching from within his mask until the man stopped.

"Many know me as Sir Alonne," the swordsman said in a contemplative, even tone which resonated within his helmet "and I have never before been referred to as this Samurai you speak of."

Whenever he reached new lands Sir Alonne would have to be careful to study terminology. For all he knew he was a Samurai, depending on what it meant. But that was on a lower spectrum of questions the warrior had.

"And who... are you?" he said slowly before nodding to their surroundings "And would you happen to know where we are? I'm quite unfamiliar with the area."

The man spoke with a deep calm voice slightly echoing through his helmet, Jinbei showing confusion because who didn't know what samurai were?
"They are warriors who protect others fearlessly against bugs!" he said with certainty he had gotten while working with his friends. "You have a big katana as well!" he noted.
Jinbei froze when he heard the man ask him to introduce himself! "I'm sorry! I am Tsukishima Jinbei member of the Mushibugyo! I'm looking for Tenma-dono!" Jinbei introduced himself with gusto, before getting asked where they were he grinned before speaking, "I don't know!".
He was getting more doubtful by the second, the village he noticed while running there had no architectural similarities to the buildings in Edo, or any of the vilages he had visited.

"Well I as on a field trip to Hawaii with my classmates. Next thing I know, I was here." Akira explained, thinking about how bizarre this scenario is. "Standing around here wouldn't get us anywhere..." Soon enough, a loud growl echoed from the room. The growl was none other than Akira's empty stomach. "...Have you guys have breakfast yet?" He asked, letting out a sigh of embarrassment. He knows for a fact that a Thief's body is important after all.

"Did you hear that, Zach?" York once again conversed with his partner.
"An actual Android... that can feel emotions... That's like that one movie starring Haley Joel Osment..." York rambled with Zach about a film called "A.I. Artificial Intelligence" by the way York described the film in regards to Penny... he seemed to not mind her Android nature.

Penny was unfamiliar with the names. But the way York described them, she thinks that they're highly respected. But it doesn't appear that York minded her being an Android...Which begs the question, can they be friends? Maybe they're already are, and she doesn't quite know. They're getting closer and closer to the village, and she started to hear more voices. Someone appears to be nearby...

"Greetings to you, Jinbei. I admit to being a warrior," Sir Alonne thought for a bit "who has slain his fair sheer of beasts insect or otherwise. So I suppose in a way I could be considered one of your Samurai."

The large swordsman turned to survey there surroundings a bit more, so he was another individual unaware of their location? Coincidence, or perhaps something more. The warrior had faced his fare share of odd and mostly unexpected challenges, he needed to be ready for anything. The answers would come soon, even if not from this young man.

"I spotted a village near here, I had been planning on going there in search of clues to my whereabouts." he turned back to the young man "Perhaps we may find answers for you as well if-"

He paused, tilting his head to the side a bit as he listened "Or perhaps we shall question those approaching us." he said before glancing back and almost immediately spotting figures approaching from the nearby shrubbery.

He hummed in thought as he took in there appearances, one a young woman and the other being a short-haired man. Both of their choices of clothing seemed notable to the swordsman, as he looked them over. Turning to face them fully, he looked between the two "Even more people, it would seem." he commented steadily "Either of you wouldn't happen to know of this place, would you? This young man and I seem to be lost."

Penny noted the outfit of the two men they found; one clad in full armor while the other is wearing what she recalls as a Kamishimo...Perhaps these two are Huntsmen? Their blades must've been a testament to that. However, it doesn't appear to be modified by anything at all. Not even a single gun part nor Dust cartridges can be seen...Perhaps they haven't heard of such technology?

"Nice to meet you Penny-dono!" the strange names not fitting with the prefixes making Jinbei frown slightly before nodding excitedly at her proposition. She wore something akin to what Hibachi would wear, but was much more concealing with more frills and green.

"Very well York-dono!" He says after talking to Penny. He took some time to take in his appearance as well; Brown hair cut almost all the way to his scalp and form fitting black coat and pants with a white shirt underneath - an unfamiliar piece of red cloth around his neck.

"The girl speaks truth," Sir Alonne spoke as he evaluated these two new individuals "I for one am most curious as to why I was brought here. And I'm fairly convinced at this point that we were collected for similar if not the same reasons."

He tapped a finger on the hilt of his blade contemplation as he turned away "An odd assembly indeed, if nothing else the village will provide shelter while we discover the reason for our presence here."

Placing his free hand behind his back, Sir Alonne resumed his walk in the direction of the village. He glanced back at the three others for a moment before slightly nodding his greetings to the two now-named individuals "Lady Polendina, Sir Morgan, as Jinbei has said, my name is Sir Alonne. I do get the feeling we will need to know each other for the time to come, a hunch if you will."

Sanae watched as Star danced out of the room without a care in the world.

"Now that you mention it, I still haven't had breakfast either," she said as she moved to the open doorway. She stopped and turned back, gripping the doorway with her free right hand as she decided to wait for Akira and walk with him on the way down.

When the two left the room, Sanae decided to ask Akira a question. "You said you were on a school trip to Hawaii earlier, right? That's amazing! I'd love to go there myself someday..." she confessed. "How is it? Does it live up to its reputation as a tropical paradise?" she asked him curiously.

'I thought I'm supposed to be a 'Gentleman Thief'.' Akira thought jokingly as Sanae gripped the doorway. Of course, he opened it and out they went. Outside of the room is nothing special, although there are some signs of the laser Pugs burning the interior on the outside walls, but it was faint. 'Let's hope they mind keeping the pugs...Nearly avoiding getting shot to the face after waking up and meeting two gorgeous women...I somehow feel good about that." Akira let out a smile, feeling a slight change in him.

"Yeah, it was a pleasant experience." Akira replied, "Although we only got to swim once, it was fun nonetheless. . " He shrugged. Well,It was a nice change of scenery of being a coffee barista in his uncle's shop, it was nice to take a break from being a Phantom Thief, too. "You mentioned that you're a shrine maiden, right? I don't really know much about them, but are they allowed to leave shrines on certain days?" Akira inquired, perhaps he can help Sanae fulfill her dream of going to Hawaii when they get back home. Soon enough, they went down the stairs. Luckily, there wasn't much people today. . .
