But this goes to an extent, he's a copycat, he doesn't know what kind of personality to take in so he copies others' to find the right one, which will take forever. What happens when he takes up more than one personality, as if he's talking to 2 People, he speaks to each of them with they're respective personality, meaning it's impossible for him to gain more than one Personality at a time.

Evan is also a novice with this ability, meaning he can't control the abilities he replicates, making it impossible to tell if he's invisible or really fast. But if the ability he replicates is mental or something like that, if someone can freeze time, and Evan absorbs that ability, he will be still active when time is frozen. Or when someone is invisible, he can still see them while they're power is active.

The criminals didn't get away but during the last stand, Thatch's head was cleanly chopped off. During the Destruction of Earth, Thatch's Brain and body was taken to a experiment bunker to be a experiment. successfully, he was turned into a "Object Head" quoted in the notes of the Doctor who experimented on him.
