She's a meticulously organized person, and gets flustered when her things are messy. Additionally, Sylvia is brave, and unflinching in uncomfortable situations. She can be quite determined when she has a goal in mind, sometimes to the point of taking things too far- she's not above lying or being sneaky to get the answers she wants, even if she knows that it's wrong. Sylvia can also be rather awkward, especially around new people, and has regularly heard that her first impression can be rather standoffish; even when she gets to know someone better, she can be more blunt than she might intend to be.

Her parents meant well, but both worked too hard to provide a comfortable life for their children, and were ultimately more absent than they perhaps wanted to be. Her brother ended up being the person that Sylvia turns to when she wants advice or guidance, and was the one to help Sylvia figure out how to apply for colleges and decide on a major. As a child, Sylvia was always the sort to be sick; she didn't have any underlying condition, just the bad luck to always seem to have a cold, or allergies, or even the flu. As a result, Sylvia didn't really participate in extra-cirriculars, and was more of a bookworm than anything. All in all, Sylvia considers her history to be fairly normal and boring, but looks forward to shaping herself into something more unique with her impending adulthood.
