The rp is going to be a place to explore and find out what life was like behind the closed doors of that family. Many generations and many many different ways that the family holds itself.
  
  
  Of course you don’t have to play a member of the family if you don’t want to but we highly recommend playing at least 1 member! And one canon member to start off is allowed as well ♡

While the primary story will be taking place during the Second Wizarding War, characters of the older generation (such as parents) who would have been around during the First Wizarding War will get multiple opportunities to delve into (or re-live) moments of their past through flashbacks and such — some characters may have a younger second faceclaim for this.

Those who only have younger generation characters (i.e, Hogwarts students) won’t have to worry about this at all, though

Both are allowed and canons are optional

Yeah, as well as the canon Blacks, there are going to be two other branches of the family that will be made up entirely of ocs. Its also encouraged to make some characters from outside of the family, but that's not a requirement or anything
