Backstory: She was the second child, and first daughter, of Emperor Peter II and Empress Regnant of Russia. Although she isn't the current heir to the throne, as her brother is, she intends to still help rule the country. She grew up well, receiving a very good education. She learned all she could, she needed it since she expected a future in court, if not on the throne, even learning multiple languages, Russian, French, and English. She did a lot of things with her father, in her eyes, he was a very prominent role model in her life, hell she'd even ask him to teach her how to use a sword. When her father waged war against France, she was at his side at every turn. But she noticed something, he wanted to rage the war on, but the longer it went on she saw no use for it. It was taking up a lot of Russia's resources and money, the economy was unstable, and she saw no clear motive for it anymore. She started to distance herself from her father, starting to dislike him, how could he do this to his own country. Going to her mother, she convinced her to send her to France, to marry to hopefully form an alliance with them and end the war.

Backstory: As a kid, Peyre wanted to become a knight like the rest of his family. When kids at the age of 14 in Peyre's town were asked to choose a craft, Peyre chose to be a knight. As time passed, Peyre got better at being a knight. Although, there was a complication when the knight who trained Peyre with a couple of other kids, asked if he had lied about his age because, at the age of 16, Peyre started to have grey hairs. In fact, the age of 16 was when Peyre began to have trouble in his life. While screwing around with a bunch of squires in a training exercise, one of the other squires managed to get his sword stuck in Peyre's hand. Peyre managed to take the sword out, but soon after, his hand got infected and Peyre got his hand chopped off. Despite this setback, Peyre managed to do okay and he went on to become a knight at the age of 21.

Born and raised in the heart of the capital to a metal worker and a painter, Kol grew up surrounded by art. France was the perfect place at the time for aspiring artists, and so much of his childhood was spent with his parents at various showings, galleries and expositions.

His love of his country and traveling, as well as basic swordplay skills and stories gifted to him in the road by weathered soldiers is what drove him to join the royal guard, though it wasn’t until a storm destroyed his childhood home and killed his parents when he was 15 that he moved to the castle and began training. The Captain was named his legal guardian and he’s lived in the castle since.

History:

Born to Queen Esme and King Phillip in England, Jack’s childhood was a blur of classes, studying and royal bullshit, or so he likes to call it. He’d never quite felt like he fit in with his noble peers, despite being the Crown Prince. He felt unfulfilled, pressured into a life he never chose but was stuck in regardless.

He began to find pleasure in alone time, learning and exploring the things that his parents considered common, but that Jack found he enjoyed very much. As he grew older, he began to sneak out at night, venturing into the village in drab clothing, happy to interact with his people as one of them. His parents never found out.

Backstory: Arminda was born to her mother when she was only 15 years old, and at the time he father was 18, however soon after she was born her mother shortly died after complications of child birth. This caused her father to fall in great depression and start a debt that he could never get out of, as soon as Arminda turned 6 she could tell her family was different. Her father constantly treating with only indifference. Soon enough her father's debt grew too large and that's when he sold Arminda, first everything felt like a nightmare however she soon realized she was going to serve the royal family.

She was only 10 when then brought her to the castle, she simply worked out helping the queen, however during this time princess Aline was born and she volunteered to become one of her maids, though a few maids stayed with princess Aline to serve her over time Arminda had grown to love the little princess like her own little sister. When Arminda turned 14 her family house was put on fire while she was in it. An act of the war, her only family was burned to death in the fire, and she was left alone but with the help of the cheerful demeanor of the princess Arminda swore her life to her.

Backstory: Alena was born in Scotland, From the age of four to fifteen lived in a nunnery. When turned 15 her mother told her she'd marry the prince of France and her aunt would be the heir to the throne. Alena wasn't upset until she met the prince of France. He would sleep with multiple women and ignore her, he saw her as a child. However, one day the king requested they do their duty before she turned sixteen she gave birth to Prince William II. She adored him, she would be seen carrying him around the palace. The king however would still be sleeping with women around the palace. One night the prince rushed in and told her their child had died, the Russians had taken her child away. Alena didn't believe but, wouldn't dare to question the king. With the king away the prince and Alena found ways to bond and after seven long years of trying she gave birth to Leon, a name she didn't pick but it didn't change the way she felt.

Leon looked just like William II but unlike him Leon was sickly he spent more hours asleep than awake. They tried again for another boy just in case Leon wouldn't make it and had a girl Willow. After many tries, Alena didn't get pregnant but Leon showed hope he wasn't a fast learner like his sister. But, he impressed her in other ways Leon was extremely kind he would give the servants flowers and pull out her chair every evening before dinner. One evening she heard the king say that his grandson wouldn't be fit for the throne, this made Alena distance herself from him. When Leon would call for her, she would ignore him. She noticed this caused Leon to lean on his younger sister more for comfort but, she also noticed the sadness growing inside him.

Alena hoped that Loneliness would make Leon tough. A few years later they had Aline, as an infant Alena would visit her: Aline is the only child Alena got to name. Alena wanted to be a mom to Alena but couldn't (Postpartum) by the time Alena felt up to being a mother Aline was calling Arminda. Alena felt jealous but she also thought of Arminda as a family so she just let things be.

The transition from being loved in Scotland to being a pawn in France made a darkness grow inside her. She now rarely smiles and doesn't allow her children to call her mother "Your highness" is preferred. She confides in her mother at times via letter, she doesn't like speaking her feelings. Personality: clever, witty, and resilient. Daniel has been mistreated his entire life and has developed a cynicism as thick as armor in order to help himself cope. He has an acid tongue and is capable of talking his way through just about anything. Despite his dark worldview and tendency to verbally brutalize anyone who gets in his way, Daniel is generally a good man. Backstory: Being the fourth son Daniel doesn’t really have a role. His father never really played a role in his life however, he always saw William and Leon as his family. William would teach him how to hunt and spar the things Leon hated. Leon would always be there like a devoted younger brother who was slightly more mature. However, when he wasn't in France life was quite different being the fourth son he was bullied or treated like a pawn, all his brothers are very masculine like his father and Daniel inherited his mother's beauty. Daniel was in love once with a woman named Anya when he was righting in Russia he adored her but after three years she was taken from him people accused her of being a spy. Now all he has is their son Alexander, whom his father the king of Spain has taken a strong liking to but this doesn't stop people from bullying him for being a bastard and like his father looking more feminine.
