The First King

The First King - Charles Dubois I

The First King was the first king of the Dubois dynasty, he was married to a lady Marie who was crowned Queen of France. They went seven years without an heir when finally Charles Dubois II was born. They had no other children however, Charles was extraordinary he was a great warrior but also a man of the people. While his father was not, taxes were at an all-time high due to the fact that the king wanted to pay off other kingdoms from taking France rather than going to war. One day France was invaded and many people lost their lives. The court demanded that the king allow the prince to rule but, the king said no. Soon after the first king was found dead in chambers the killer was never found. This made the prince king he would go on to be known as The Great.

The Great King Charles Dubois's II first action was gathering any men who could fight, they then went to war with Scotland. This was the first alliance formed with a marriage if the king married Princess May of Scotland there would be no more war. And so he did, during their first year of marriage, they gave birth to fraternal twin boys Sebastian and Louis. That following year, The great king joined the Roman empire by declaring France a catholic country which meant that France now had the power of the church. With two strong heirs, Charles had a very tough decision to make which son will reign? When the boys were five the Queen gave birth to a daughter Mary, Soon after another son paul. The palace was flourishing, Then the war started with Switzerland and mary married the prince of France he wasn't the heir but this was enough to form an alliance. Paul died of smallpox but the two twin boys were becoming strong men.

Sebastian was a man of God, he didn't drink he studied and danced. However, his secret was that he didn't like women. His father had taken many mistresses and bore many bastards but Sebastian kept one person close to him the court jester.

Jester and Sebastian (With some foreshadowing)

Philippe Roux Known as the Royal court jester was brought to the palace around the age of 4. He was very flexible and entertaining he was hired by The Great King Charles Dubois however he was never allowed to leave and his parents weren’t allowed in. May of Scotland treated him like a son knowing what it was like to be taken from your family. The jester has a great youth until he realized he wasn’t attracted to women he was attracted to the young prince Sebastian. He would send him Anonymous letters and request to meet. The prince met with the intention to reject a woman. Then he realized it was a man they started dating in secret. The prince swore to never bed a woman. They had a few months of bliss until the king died and Sebastian took the throne and married Alice of Wallis. One night Philippe and Sebastian got into an intense fight and he slept with his wife this resulted in Prince Leo of France but this was secret until Philippe and Leo overheard a conversation. This resulted in Leo taking the throne at 14 and anyone who knew of the secret mysteriously died. Except for Philippe who swore his loyalty and was given land he just couldn't leave his land behind the palace. The king forced him to marry a woman who bore him a son and then fled the country in search of real love. He never told anyone but his son and the young prince, Leon who was named after Leo the man who murdered his great love and never let him leave the palace. He was warning Leon not to be like Leo. Leon promised he also was very fond of the jester and found him very entertaining. Leon doesn’t know that Philippe's son knows.

Louis was an exact copy of his father, at the age of 17 he already had two daughters and went to fight in the war with Switzerland. But he had no ambition to be king he wanted to be a warrior.

So the two brothers made an agreement Sebastian will be king but Louis would father the heir. Sebastian married Alice of Wallis and She and Louis fathered Sebastian II. Sebastian became The Modest King

Sebastian was considered modest but he was more so secretive, he feared that people would find out that his brother was his child's actual father. Sebastian continued to sleep with the jester and Louis continued to sleep with Alice of Wallis. Alice and Louis had a total of 6 children all girls this meant Louis had seven daughters and one son. Then one night Sebastian gave in and slept with his wife they had a son named Leo.



Now Leo was the rightful heir

They were prepping Sebastian II to be the king of France when May of Scotland overheard the rumor that Leo was the Rightful Heir. She confronted Alice and ...

Enraged the Jester told the Roman Empire they supported any actions Leo would take to get the throne

Willow's Name

Willow was named after Kings Leo's bastard daughter (Wilda) who is missing. She was considered smarter than most male children. He loved her dearly her mother wasn’t of French descent.
