The Millennium Prize Problems are seven problems in mathematics that were stated by the Clay Mathematics Institute in 2000. The problems are the Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer conjecture, Hodge conjecture, Navier–Stokes existence and smoothness, P versus NP problem, Poincaré conjecture, Riemann hypothesis, and Yang–Mills existence and mass gap. A correct solution to any of the problems results in a US $1 million prize being awarded by the institute to the discoverer.
Only a brilliant mind can solve a brilliant problem and that’s exactly what she is. Muse A a maths genius who has been controlled by her parents her whole life to focus solving one of these seven problems. When Muse A’s brilliant mind was discovered her parents immediately pulled her out of regular school and spent thousands of dollars for college professors to teach their daughter maths. Her parents became obsessed with the idea of their daughter being written into the history of mathematics and so they persuaded her to pursue the answer to one of the problems. Now she’s close to solving one but she has no motivation to finish it and she’s tired of only focusing on maths. Muse B is your average boy next door and he’s moved just across the street from Muse A. He notices her sat in bedroom working endlessly and so when he asks about her at school no one seems to know her, unsure if she’s a ghost Muse B goes to her house to investigate.
These two muses meet and strike up a friendship. Muse B helps teach Muse A about how to be a ‘normal’ teenager while Muse A helps Muse B not flunk maths. However the pair begin to feel their friendship run deeper as their friendship seems to be helping heal the other. Lots of fun, pranks and coming of age are in-store.
