Alexander was born in Casablanca, in 1938. His father was a German Nazi, named Max Mohren, and his mother, an Austrian named Ava. Max had been arrested and detained in Cairo by British forces, whilst Ava was captured in Casablanca, to eventually be reunited with Max in Egypt. Alex never met his father and was still a baby when separated from his mother, so by all accounts never knew his biological parents. After giving birth to Alex, Ava was eventually reunited with her husband, Max, who had been unaware she was pregnant and that he'd become a father. British Vice-Marshal, Damon Ripley, arranged for Alex to be sent to an orphanage in England, apparently for the child's sake.

Any chance Alex would have had to meet his parents was quickly cut short when both Max and Ava were killed in 1941. Max had shot Ava whilst trying to kill British soldiers, Richard Finley and Robert Walker. Then in a bloody fight between the three men, Max was slaughtered by Robert. This information remains unknown to Alex and by all accounts anyone else living, other than the men directly involved in the Cairo operation. Any official documentation reported the Mohren couple as missing.

As the Second World War continued on, Alex spent the first years of his life growing up in the orphanage in Reading, England. Given he was child with a German name, both during and directly after the war, there was no interest in adopting him from British families. It wasn't until he was nine years old that he was put into foster care. He found himself moving into the first family home he'd ever experienced, taken in by his foster parents, Terrance and Juliette Martin. The couple had been unable to have children of their own, so looked to adoption as a way to have children in their family and also do their part by giving children a loving home. They had no problem with the boy being of German descent, if anything they welcome him more into their home, realising he was overlooked for years simply because of his name.

Having never had parental figures, it took some months for Alex to feel comfortable in his new home. Eventually, he opened up and began to realise he didn't have to return to the orphanage again. A year later, Henry was fostered and brought into the family home. Having been unpopular with kids in the orphanage and home-schooled for the last year, Alex hadn't made very many friends amongst his peers. However, with Henry being younger than him, he opted to welcoming his new brother and making sure he was happy in his new home too.

Living with nurturing parents, who were firm but fair, Alex was happy with his new life. He wasn't sure about the Sundays at church, even from a young age, but we went along with it to show gratitude towards his foster parents. It was when he turned 11 and started high school that Alex realised he was still unpopular with his peers. Often on the receiving end of derogatory comments about his German heritage, Alex didn't make many friends in school. Instead, he chose to keep his head down and focus on his schoolwork. Even outside of school, he enjoyed reading and learning. Despite the negative comments, he chose to embrace his German side in some manner and took to learning to speak the language.

After finishing school, Alex wasn't sure what he wanted to do with his life. His foster parents made him feel like he belonged, yet he still felt out of place at times. Regardless of his German and Austrian heritage, he considered himself to be British and loyal to the country that he'd grown up in. Eventually, he enlisted with the British Army.

It seemed the derogatory comments that plagued him during high school followed him into the army. Treated harshly, at time painfully so, by his superiors and his squad, he had to work harder to prove himself. As time went on, he managed to gain the respect of those who had once judged him. His commitment and skills shone through, with him earning a reputation through his expert accuracy when it came to firearms. During his time in the army, he was stationed in West Germany as Cold War tensions continued.

Alex was discharged from the army after seven years of service, having completed his service and decided to take a new path. With his skills, he didn't stray too far. He found himself taking on security work as a bodyguard. His experience led to him working for wealthy and political figures, ensuring their safety and secrecy. The danger of his job never deterred him. It often seemed like he had a death wish or didn't much care for his own well-being, but in reality he just grew not to fear death. In fact, he enjoyed life and wanted plenty out of it, including travelling and broadening his knowledge. He simply never concerned himself with the prospect of being killed in action - everyone had to die sometime.

Despite the dangerous and secretive life he leads, Alex always makes sure to visit his parents and brother whenever he possibly can. With them living less than an hour away from his apartment in West London, it's never too difficult to find time for them... if he happens to be home for long enough! It's with his risky business in mind that Alex ended up buying an apartment in London, but also opts to rent a second apartment for business so his family can remain safely away from danger.

- Born in 1943, Maria spent her earlier years with her mother and father on the island of Menorca. As a child, she had no real grasp on her father's work or her family's involvement in state affairs. She simply knew a happy island life, well-cared for and pampered. Never a concern about safety, money, or other issues. To double down on this, she was educated at home by private tutors. Her father prioritized her and her sibling's education, preferring not to leave education up to the state. Because of this, she learned a wide array of subjects and disciplines and escaped any attempts at indoctrination.
- As she grew older, she began to notice her father's absences more regularly. Her mother would often make excuses for his travel; international business operated on a different clock. Tennis matches, birthdays, and many other occasions were missed. In her teenage years, she began to resent her father. As a result, she became protective of her younger sibling. When their father was home, she often avoided him or tried to get her younger sibling involved with other activities.
- At the age of 19, like her father had done many years ago, she attempted to flee abroad. However, it didn't take long for him to intervene. She was surprised to be seized by men who said they worked for him by the time she reached Paris. There, she was taken to meet her father. After a heated argument, her father came clean of his work. He was an arms dealer, and any reckless departure on her end would result in international trouble. The more he explained, the more she began to understand the greater scope of her actions. If she didn't tow the line, then her mother and sibling would risk being in danger. Despite her relational strain with her father, she agreed to tow the line.
- Her father permitted her to attend an accredited Spanish university, where he could monitor her safety but allow her to live a life of her own. She continued to play tennis as well as study business. Once she graduated university, Maria moved back home to focus on rekindling her familiar ties. The distance she wedged in her teenage years needed to be mended, as she matured and gained perspective. Now, she slowly has been permitted to assist her father with his work. Strictly staying on the legal side of the business, most recently she's been tasked with coordinating travel and event planning.

- Grew up as an only child. Born into old money in Northampton, England. His mother died during childbirth, leaving him with his father and the estate. Highly educated and sheltered, his father was extremely overprotective since he was his family's only heir. When the ripples of war were brewing abroad, Nigel wanted to enlist in the army like most of his family had before him. His father denied him the opportunity, prompting Nigel to flee abroad at age 19.
- The only place that would take volunteers in 1936 was Spain. He enlisted in the International Brigades and became a scout for the corps. With no previous fighting skills and deep pockets, the Republicans knew to keep him out of serious danger. As he developed as a scout, he began to immerse himself in the Spanish culture and ways of life of many of the middle-class fighters. In 1938, during the invasion of Catalonia, Nigel was captured by Nationalist forces. With the war for independence nearly lost, Nigel had no choice but to surrender.
- With no interest in entering World War II, the Franco government opted to reestablish stability and declare neutrality. Nigel, now stuck in Spain for his crimes against the state as a freedom fighter, was forced to align himself with the Nationalists to stay alive. In 1939, he also received news that his father passed away, officially inheriting the English estate and wealth he had been promised. However, the Franco government knew better than to accept European money with the war beginning to rage. So, they negotiated a deal: he was to serve as an agent of Spain until the end of his sentence for his crimes, and then all his earnings would be seized by the state. In exchange, he would be awarded amnesty.
- Through the second world war, Nigel accepted his job and became a supply runner and trader for the Spanish government. Primarily dealing with the Axis North African fleets and the Strait of Gibraltar, Englishmen, he was able to establish a network on both sides. His work eventually evolved into armament sales as well as metals. His talents skyrocketed, learning how to profit from war rather than fighting in it. The Franco government was equally impressed in their investment, often wining and dining him amongst Spanish political elites and various other national party members. In those upper-class circles, he met Isabella Montelo Santana, a darling daughter of a ranking general.
- Following the end of the war in 1945, as promised, the government granted Nigel amnesty. However, with his love for Isabella and Spain, the decision to leave was much more difficult than previously expected. But, he needed to get his affairs in order on the home front, and had to leave Spain. As soon as he returned to England, MI6 was quick to apprehend and question his involvement in both the Spanish Civil War and the Second World War. To incentivize cooperation, his assets were frozen and property seized. After being treated like royalty by the Spanish, this cruel action from the Crown and homeland was severely disheartening. He cooperated honestly, and once it was deemed he was not a threat, he was released.
- The incident motivated Nigel to return to Spain, knowing he had stronger roots in his chosen home than in his birth home. Within a year, he liquated his estate assets and purchased property off the coast of Menorca. He vowed to return to Isabella, marrying her shortly after his return. No longer after, they had their first child, Maria. After a few quiet years, thanks to the Spanish Miracle period and his forced allegiance to the Franco state, he decided to reenter the smuggling business. With Spanish immunity and his own wealth, Nigel established his own means of shipping and transportation through his established contacts. He helped fund various guerilla efforts and coups throughout Southeast Asia and Africa.
- While Nigel established his empire, he always insured his family, and assets would be taken care of. Most were put in his wife's name to avoid serious Interpol detection; other than what would be expected of authoritarian-affiliated individuals. However, since MI6 waived him years ago, there was no immediate cause for concern.

- Born in 1920, during a time of extreme unrest, Isabella was forced into a fight she had no part in from an early age. Her father spent his early years as a cattle farmer in southern Spain before enlisting in the local police. She was the only child, born out of wedlock. While her father was off fighting civil uprisings, Isabella grew up on her grandfather's land.
- By the 1930's, the Spanish Civil War was beginning to affect the nation as a whole. In her teenage years, her father pledged allegiance to Francisco Franco. During this time, she was expedited to Salamanca. Stripped from her mother and extended family, Isabella was forced to conform to her father's wishes and learn the ways of higher society. She was his only chance of solidifying his loyalty; he was hoping to marry her off to a young Spanish officer. She learned how to speak English and French to better assimilate in upper-class circles. Her father also seemed to grow in power, having earned himself a spot in the Spanish high command for his early allegiance.
- At age 18, Isabella found a more than ideal suitor. Eduardo Montoya was a naval officer, hand-picked by her father to marry. The wedding plans were arranged, the dowery set. All seemed to fall into place seemingly. Until the night of their celebration. Two years after meeting Eduardo, her father decided to host a party in his daughter's honor. Isabella attended the event with her fiancée and happened to meet an Englishman named Nigel Cross. At first sight, she was swept off her feet. He was charming and quite funny. The entire night, they simply chatted and buried themselves in the crowd.
- At each and every turn, Isabella began to add delays to her wedding. Whether it was intentionally bad planning, health, or whatever excuse she could make,. She would not marry Eduardo. Eventually, her fiancée grew tired of the stalemate and opted to call off the engagement. As soon as the engagement was called off, she immediately began her pursuit of the mysterious Englishman. She later found out he was involved in the government, to her father's pleasure, and genuinely cared for him. He was a lost revolutionary in the garden of beasts, and she was his rose.
- Following the end of the war, at age 25, Isabella wanted to travel to England with Nigel. Due to her citizenship status, she was denied the ability to travel with her love. He vowed to return to her, and so he did. A year later, he returned a richer and freer man. Unlike her previous wedding, her and Nigel's wedding happened at the blink of an eye. Shortly after, they had their first child together, Maria. A few years later, the second came.
