The Magical Dorm Drama (Hilda x buildingaspaceship)

Felix was sat with his usual group of friends on the train to school. After an uneventful summer where he had to pretend to like the people in foster care with him, he was more than excited to finally be coming back to school. He sits cross legged, leaning against the back of his seat, laughing at something his friends had said. They were all talking about how their summers had been, back at home with their families. Expensive holidays and fun adventures and what not with friends. Well, Felix supposed that his summer hadn't been all too uneventful, considering he had finally mastered breathing fire. He could control elements, and oddly electricity, though he didn't believe that was really classed as an element. The people who he lived with didn't know about any of this, they just thought he was a delinquent kid that liked to set things on fire, especially this summer when he'd gone through more than his share of curtains. It had gotten to the point now that, when he was angry with someone, sparks and little bits of flame would come from his mouth when he shouted at them, but everyone just put that down to the light.

Mia and her friends were on the train towards Hogwarts again. They were laughing a lot and they all seemed to have had a good summer. One of her friend's owl were flying around exited, while the boy tried to get it down. They laughed more and soon the bird sat on his shoulder again. Her eyes scanned the train, and she saw a lot of faces she recognised. A couple of persons were looking at her, but they were avoiding eye contact. They were white-haired, probably Slytherins. She knew what they were thinking, "Mudblood!", but she ignored them. She could handle stares.

Felix moved some hair away from his face and looked around the train at a few of the other passengers, but then back at his friends. They were now asking him what he had done over summer, and rather than lie so much by saying he'd done great things, he decided to just say that he had perfected a few tricks that he'd show them later. He didn't want to talk much, so instead he just looked out of the window quietly, and then back around. He noticed a girl, sat with a boy whose owl was going crazy, and he looked her over before looking back out of the window. He knew that girl. Mia South, a gryffindor in the same year as him. She was a muggle born, and not to be spoken to. Whereas he was a pureblood, from a long line. Unfortunately, he was the only one left.

Mia sighed and leaned back in her seat. She was tired, but they were soon there. She had almost forgotten how uncomfortable it was when people was staring at her and judging her blood in their minds. It was almost worse then have them calling her names and pushing her. Almost. In the small group of friends she sat with she was the only muggle born, but they were nice. Not as those arrogant slytherins that always had to mess with her.

When they got there, Felix grabbed the cage by his feet with his cat in it and held it tightly in his hands. Because their luggage was already at the castle he didn't need to carry it all, and so he walked behind his friends and out of the train, purposefully pushing past Mia and her friends. When they got off the train, they got onto the carriages that would take them up to the castle, his friends laughing loudly, and he grinned arrogantly. He supposed it came with being a slytherin, being arrogant and rude.

Mia and her friends looked angry at the group of slytherins passing them, and some mumbled something, that didn't sounded that nice. She grabbed the cage with her owl and went out. They were placed in the carriage with the slytherins. Some of her friends tried to object but it weren't any seats left in any others. The went reluctantly inside the small vehicle and sat down, it were tight, but it worked. She silently watched the slytherins, hoping that they wouldn't notice her.

Some of his friends were glaring at the Gryffindors and some were snickering quietly, their hands over their mouths. Felix just kept looking out of the window, but when the carriage began to move he looked at the people in the carriage with him. Mia South, again. He rolled his eyes, his friends whispering to eachother. One of them elbows him in the stomach lightly and says loud enough for Mia to hear, "a rare mudblood appears." Felix snickers slightly as he looks directly at Mia.

She leaned forward and looked angry at the boy who said it. "Don't call me that!" She said and tried to not sound hurt. "Mia, don't listen to them. You know how slytherins are." One of her friends said and sighed. And she wish that she could just let it pass her. But it seemed ike everytime someone called her something it got her in her heart.

"At least we don't allow in your filthy kind." The boy next to him raises his eyebrows and turns to talk to someone else. Felix carries on looking at Mia, hair covering one eye slightly. He leans his head against the window, hearing the pitter patter of rain hit his window. When had it started to rain? Thunder is heard outside and lightning flashes, one of his friends jumps and then most of them laugh. But Felix, silent as ever, turns to look out of the window.

Mia snorted at his rude comment. Her eyes had stopped on one of the slytherin boys, he had white hair and his eyes were dark grey. He were not as the others, not as annying, loud and rude. He was the only one that looked at her for a moment, with one eye covered by his hair, and then looking out of the window. She noticed that it had started to rain and thunder. Great. She had forgotten her umbrella and she was scared of lightening. The vehicle stopped and they went out. Water dropped from her hair and she was looking down at her feet as they started to walk.

Due to Felix being able to control elements, water didn't touch him when he stepped out of the vehicle. It went around him as though he had some kind of shield, and he remained dry. His friends laughed at him, "afraid of getting a little wet?", apart from one who complained that she wanted to stay dry too. Felix just smirked and carried on walking behind them, one hand outstretched, the only hand that was getting wet, because he wanted it to. As they walked, one of his friends, the one who had called Mia a mudblood in the carriage, pushed past her forcefully.

She looked jealously at the boy who didn't get wet. Mabey she could try to stop the raindrops to fall on her with her telekenisis powers? Nah, they were to many and she was to tired for that.

As they walked towards the castle she was thinking about what they had said. Mudblood. Mabey it was something wrong with her blood? Mabey she wasn't as good as the others? Did her friends also see her as a mudblood? She was angry that they had made her thought those thoughts, but she couldn't push them away. They were stuck in her head, screaming at her. Mudblood!

Felix and his friends enter the castle while they shout and laugh about something petty and rude. Felix finally decides to join in on the fun, laughing as they walk to the great hall where the first feast of the year would be held. Now that that mudblood wasn't around he was back to his usual self, making rude remarks about other houses. As they sit at the table, he looks over at the gryffindor table.

As she and her frinds sat down at their table, she noticed that everyone was calmer then last year, and she knew why. The Slytherins had won the house cup last year, even though there loud and annoying, and every Gryffindor wanted to beat them this year more than anything. She would also enjoy seeing their sad faces if they lost.

The hall went silent as the headmaster began with the customary speeches and first years got sorted into their houses. A few snivelly looking brats were sorted into Slytherin this year and Felix found himself almost falling asleep when suddenly the smell of food filled his nostrils. His eyes opened and he looked at the food that now filled the table as people began to dig in and help themselves. His friend turned to him as he was putting chicken on his plate. "Did you have a nice summer?" She asks, tucking her black hair behind her ear and biting something away from her fork and chewing on it. "Yeah, it was pleasant I suppose." He says back and chews on his chicken.

Mia started to eat, and her friends were talking. But she didn't listen, she was looking at one of the boys from before and a black-haired slytherin girl. She strangely didn't like that she was talking to him. Was she...jealous? No, he was a slytherin! And she didn't even know him. He had beautiful eyes, but...No! He's a slytherin.

"Did you manage to do what we talked about?" The girl asks him and puts more food on her plate. When Felix nods, he looks around the hall, his eyes settling on that mudblood from earlier. Why was he so drawn to her? She was a gryffindor, and worse a muggle born. "Do it!" The girl next to him commands and he swallows his food, before taking a quick drink and he turns to make sure he's not facing anyone. Ready to breathe fire.

"Mia?" Someone asked. She quickly looked away from the Slytherin boy and looked up at her friend, who giggled at her. "I asked if you could pass the potatoes?" She said, and giggled more. Mia passed her the bowl and smiled. "What were you looking at? Or who were you looking at? Some new hot first years?" She said and tried to figure out what Mia had been looking at. "No one." She said and blushed. What? She shouldn't be blushing! He was just a slytherin! Her friend looked even more exited. "You're blushing! That means that you were looking at someone! Come on, tell me! Who is he?" Mia just shook her head. What would they think if they knew that she were looking at a Slytherin boy?

He can feel his body burning, the fire building up inside him, and he opens his mouth. Just as he does a large amount of flame comes out of his mouth, the warmth radiating from it. The fire is still coming from his mouth in a line, but it takes the shape of a snake, flying around the table and weaving between students. He closes his mouth and it stops, he grins while the people on his table laugh and clap, his friend patting him on the back. "Well done, you really did perfect it!" He laughs, "You wouldn't believe how many curtains I set on fire." He isn't looking at her when he speaks though, he's looking to see the reaction on the gryffindor girls face.

All the people in the big room turned their heads towards the snake of fire. It was the boy who did it. "Wow" she whispered silently, really impressed. All that she could do with her magic was to make objects and herself fly. She watched the snake fly across their table. When he stopped it, only people from his own table applaused, the others just ignored him. Well, exept her. She looked at him, and noticed that he was looking at her to, and quickly turned away her head.

Felix smirks and looks back at his own plate, using his fingers to put in a small bit of chicken. His glass was empty and he refilled it with water by holding his finger over it and letting it pour out. His friend held out her glass for him and he refilled that too, before he drank his and stood up. Usually he wouldn't leave the feast until the very end but this year he wasn't really feeling it as he walked out of the great hall.

She noticed that the slytherin boy stood up and went out. She couldn't stop thinking about him. She also stood up. "Mia?" Her friend asked. "I'll just go get some air." She answered and they seemed to accept it. She walked out in a fast pace, and looked around for the boy. This was a stupid idea. Stupid, stupid, stupid! He would never talk to her. What would she do anyways? Spy on him? He was just probably going to the toilet anyways. She spotted him. She paniced. "Uhm... H-Hello." Stupid, stupid, stupid!

Felix turned, he had only walked outside because he was bored inside, and it was already proving to be more interesting out here. He looks over the girl, the gryffindor girl, the mudblood, and smirks. "Hey," he says simply, his hands in his pockets. What was he doing talking to this girl? He'd never live it down if any of his friends caught him talking to her. Why was she talking to him anyway? He'd laughed at her, and his friends had insulted her right in front of her. Unless she liked the mean type.

He had seen her. No turning back now... "Uhm...Yeah, nice snake you did over there." She said. Wait, was it a snake? Mabey it was a dragon? "I-I mean the fire. Thingy." God, she was so insanely awkward. He just stood there with his hands in his pockets and a grin on his lips, and she stared down on the ground, 'cause she was blushing. Again.
