As she was doing research, Zoey suddenly started to sing a song her mother had taught her when she was young,
"No matter what your friends try to tell ya
We were made to fall in love
And we will be together, any kind of weather,
It's like that, it's like that
Every little step I take,
You will be there
Every little step I make
We'll be together
Every little step I take
You will be there
Every little step I make
We'll be together"
She continued to sing quite enjoying just chilling here with books, her mind, and silence.

As much as Geralf would love to continue his joking around, there was an issue of vital importance here. "Yeah, uh, I need some help; someone has to check my bones for any fractures or damage." he explained. Unlike living people, who had tissues and metabolism which heal damaged areas over time, Geralf was just the calcium based support structure. Any damage caused will permanently remain, leading to potential complete breakage if left unchecked. "I'd do it myself, but I don't have the expertise to identify even the most minor signs of fractures." He stated, then adding, "Not to mention it's hard for me to check every area of my skeleton. That's what I'd need you for."

Sarah nodded, turning to the desk while pointing at one of the beds. "Sit down." She then grabbed a file, with nothing written on and blank patient papers inside. Opening it, she grabbed something to write with, quickly filling in the 'Reason for Vist' line simply. "I guess this counts as a physical," She muttered as she wrote it down, before turning to Geralf, though she didn't look up. "I need your name, age, position, and....well, I assume you don't have any allergies? I'll also need you to remove your clothing so I can exaime you," She looked up, "I'm Sarah by the way, Sarah McAllister." Giving a skeleton a physical...certianly a first. Also, could they not have given her premade files? Well, maybe they did, but she hadnt found them yet, so making some would work for now.

"I'll check that out then, thanks for the knowledge." Thomas replied with a smile. He walked his way out of the library towards the control room. He kept a mental note of the close proximity of his room to the control room. He walked out to see it bustling with people. He asked around and soon found the manual. He was gonna read it all tonight. Looking at the size of the book it was going to be a long one.

Aldo Chevalier

Aldo looked around in awe. Everything was just so.. cool! He hadn't seen the ocean before until the following weeks traveling to this place. The most that he had seen was the local river that ran by his house, and the occasional visit to the lake by his Grampy's cottage.

"Aldo Chivalier. I'm one of the head engineers." He said, showing one of the guards his ID, before wandering onto the submarine. Eventually, after aimlessly wandering around and looking at all of the whatzits and thingamabobs, he made it to the library and spied a girl looking at some books. "Howdy! I'm the new engineer!"

Geralf slipped off his suit, leaving his top hat on his skull, however. "Name's Geralf, age 300 or something. I lost track. And I'm a proud entrepreneur helping to partially fund this here mission." He explained, neatly folding his clothes on a chair. The doctor introduced herself as Sarah McAllister, but this greedy skeleton wasn't really paying much attention. "Is he next in line?" Geralf joked, pointing to a hanging medical skeleton over in the corner. "Anyways, Sarah, I assume this isn't one of the situations they teach you in medical school; tell me, what do they think of necromancy where you graduated from?" Geralf inquired, hoping to get some answers for his own personal interest. "Is it seen as a negative taboo, or a wonder of science that needs studying? There's no wrong answers; I'm just curious, is all.''

Jasmine Amiri
Library

"Hello, Aldo, Viltor. Jasmine Amiri. It's nice to meat you both. I see now that the library was a good call. I've few I've met here have been pleasant." One thing Jasmine always feared was meeting someone and they were immediately unbearable. These people seemed good enough though. They came straight to the place to expand their intellect. Fantastic

"We will set sail in approximately 20 minutes." The intercom voice overhead said.

"300? Well, I gotta say, you look great. Not a day over 150," She chuckled, writing down everything he told her, before looking over at the skeleton in the corner. "Oh no, he's my assistant. Lazy bag a bones though, just hangs around all day." She sat the folder down, before walking and standing beside the bed Geralf was told to sit on. "No, it's not. Though this isn't actually the first blizzard situation I've been in. You won't beleive some of the things people get stuck in them," She said with a chuckle. "Alright, come on, sit down and I'll start with your top half," Sarah said. This is when her first actual bit of surprise came from. His question about necromancy gave her pause. Her brows furrowed as she thought, before her face relaxed and she shrugged. "It depended on who you were talking to. Some people saw it a great way to learn from the dead, though they don't use it often, while others were completely against the very idea. You can't play god and all that. Personally, I would not use it myself, but I'm not against it."

Zoey felt her eyes about to water so she wiped them and left her room heading to the gym where she hoped no one was and to her delight she was right no one was there. Zoey went to the middle of the gym and started to dance and elegant ballerina type dance with some of her own moves. She took a deep breath and continued to dance trying to clear her mind of sad thoughts. Dancing usually helped because then she had to focus on her steps instead of whatever she was thinking of. It truthfully was working now too which she was also immensely thankful for.

Chapter 1: The Taste of Seawater
Location: Redstone Port
Time: Noon
Weather: 70, Cloudy, 50% chance of rain

The ferocious horn of the ship signaled that the crew was at 100%. The people stood by to yell their goodbyes, some tearful but most joyful. At the helm of the ship stood Johnathan Edward Weiss, waving to the public. The ship gave off an aura of euphoria across the entirely of the town and lit up the mood even higher than it had been all morning. As the ship pulled off, everyone got the chance to stand out and say their goodbyes. Jasmine did a few waves, not all that into, seeing as to how her family wasn't there. They didn't even live in Redstone, so she was pretty much there alone to pursue her own dreams.

Weiss was happy to be pulling off. All that PR stuff was starting to take a toll on him. Even the greatest of politicians had to stop and take a rest at some point. All the (somewhat) fake smiles and relations were done though. It was about time to start on business. This would be a good trip, but would also be a dangerous one for all involved, including himself. He would get to know them by working closely with them. For now though, one of the ones he trusted the most, Jasmine, was worrying about all the HR stuff, making sure everyone got set in their rooms. He would assign them positions pretty soon, but everyone should be either making their way to their rooms or in the general area of where they could possibly be assigned. Combat team to the armory, Scouts as high as possible on the ship, engineers as close to the machinery as possible, scholars to the library or making their rooms into their study, medics at the infirmary, etc.

One of the people on the combat team was a former Navy Warrant Officer, Clint Ashecraft. He was a marksman and would be teaching people how to shoot. He went into the armory dressed in his navy duty uniform, the navy camouflage, and upon seeing the bars of a Warrant Officer, those also in the navy fell in line immediately. He started strapping up, grabbed a Kukri Machete as well as a handgun and a weird rifle. This was a water rifle, a rifle that shot bullets of compacted water. Since water was the ammo, it would have no problems operating in the open sea. Just fill it up and fire.

Thomas was downstairs checking out the engine room. It was impressive and everything seemed to be working in synchronization. The Engine seemed quite large for a ship of that size and that also meant it would take a lot longer to repair it. Everything seemed to be doing fine for now. He then waited to see if anybody else was curious enough to come down here, probably not. He was also waiting to be assigned.

Mr. Johnathan Edward Weiss
Engine Room

Weiss walked down the steps into the Engine Room. He held that aura of confidence about him, as could be expected of a powerful businessman who was pretty much self-made and came from almost nothing. "Hello, you must be Thomas," he said with a smirk, sifting through the paperwork for a picture confirmation of him. "Johnathan Edward Weiss if you didn't know. We have a lot to do in a little amount of time. Since you're here, you've shown that you're pretty dedicated to your job. As an early reward, I'll allow you to choose where you work." Johnathan brandished a short list of places that could use an engineer.

Engine
Electrical
Support
Propulsion
Gas
Nuclear

The list had only 6, but there was both a submarine and a ship, so there was 12 positions that he could choose from. "On top of that, I propose to you the opportunity to be appointed as the head engineer of either the ship or the submarine. You'll of course be paid a generous bonus." If he was appointed the head engineer, he had to work there. He couldn't be the head ship engineer and stick to the submarine. The ship would be used a lot more, but a submarine would allow him to go with the diving team on their excursions, which could grant him access to potentially rare material or even machines.

"I would gladly take the Head engineer position on the Submarine." Thomas said," And working with the Engine on the submarine to make sure we're at 100% capacity, would fit my skills the best." Tom said. He didn't expect to be head engineer though he was glad he got it. The pay would be good but that's not what he happy about. Being on the submarine meant he would have the ability to explore. Exploring was why he wanted to be on this ship in the first place.

Zoey had known her family wasn't up there. She had said for them to stay home so she ignored it and stayed in the gym to do some more dancing. Dancing didn't just help her focus on something other than her mind, but when she was really little her mother taught her how to dance so she has been dancing ever since then trying to keep her mother's memory alive and well.

Geralf was sent on his was shortly after arriving, all his bones looks fine, through she should keep an eye out for any strange noises and come immideatly back to her if he notices anything shifty. For now, Sarah was left alone to continue setting up. She looked around a bit more, moved a few things here and there, set up her more decorative plants, and finally found the patient files. She just slipped the paper she started for the skeletal man into his folder, before picking up her bags. It was time for her to go an put her stuff away, and perhaps even expire the ship a little. None of her friends and family were going to be waving the ship off, so she didn't join the others up above, and headed straight for the rooms.

Isiah Ashecraft
Armory ------->Hallway

After strapping up, Isiah left the armory with his gear..........and ran into Aldo. A pleasant smile crossed his face and he immediately picked Aldo up in a spine-crushing bear hug. Par for the course for a hardened warrior like Isiah. "Well I'll be damned. Long time, no see, Aldo. I didn't know you wanted to come on this trip." Isiah met Aldo in a library. They became good friends over a common book series they liked. Since then, they kept in contact. However, Isiah got deployed and the connection pretty much ceased from there. Seeing him now brought back a bucketload of memories of the good times they shared.

Johnathan Edward Weiss
Engine Room-----> Submarine Room
"Right," He said with a smile. "Let me take you to the Diving room then." Weiss led him to the Diving Room. The room was at the left side of the ship near the water. At the first part was a diving armory, full of weaponry to use underwater, as well as oxygen tanks and scuba diving gear. In the next room was the submarine hangar with the submarine itself in the center. The submarine itself was a definite beauty. It looked pristine. Camouflaged blue to hide its presence underwater. With the amount of lights on it, the submarine

Jasmine Amiri
Control Room
It was nearing time for their first dive. A test dive. They were long since 20 miles out from where they set sail. They would dive and make sure everything was fully functional. She came in over the intercom. "All who are doing the test dive, head over to the Diving Room." The test dive would encompass both the submarine and unassisted scuba divers. She herself would be an unassisted diver, but had to go through the logistics first. The combat team would either go unassisted or man the submarine weapons systems. Scholars inside the submarine as well as the medic in case an unassisted diver got injured and had to be brought onto the submarine for treatment.
Time for their first risk of the trip.

Aldo was surprised to say the least. He was used to being the one who picked people and things up. It's just what he did. So when he was the one being picked up, it made him feel not only vulnerable. He shut his eyes tight and tried to will whatever was holding him up to disappear, but when he heard the voice of his friend, he didn't feel as afraid
"Heh heh... Hey I-Isiah... could you, uh.. put me down please..?" He said, not really minding the force the soldier was applying to him, but instead scared of how he was lifted off the ground.

Tom arrived behind Jonathan and he saw the submarine. It was gorgeous, truly a great piece of engineering. "Wow." He said absolutely stunned. It seemed to be top of the line technology, which meant he would have some reading to do. It also meant that repairing the thing would prove even more complicated than repairing the ship. Tom heard the intercom. It appeared they were doing a test run which he was going to be on.

Zoey finally stopped what she was doing when her legs grew tired. She put on a hoodie before heading back to her room. She stretched and sat on her bed. She laid back on the bed, closing her eyes. It was relaxing already being here and she wasn't going to let anything ruin that. "Every little step mom." She whispered remembering the song she had been singing earlier.
