~The Lost Land of Gaia~
There was a magical land that has been talked about in some folklore. Some have claimed to have travelled to a magical civilisation in the mountains where they have encountered giants as tall as mountains, and have been serenaded by the sweet song of the mermaids. They say that in the middle of the land is the heart that brings the magic to the world, a beautiful oak tree covered in lights, the roots like trees, they say it is the Tree of Life. Here in the land of Gaia, lives a secret civilisation that live among the creatures you hear from fairytales in peace and harmony.
A long time ago, there was a wizard who fell in love with a woman, it was love at first sight. They married and had a child, Elizabeth, but sadly the mother did not survive childbirth. This broke the wizard’s heart, he vowed to look after his child and give her all of his love, to never make her cry and to always be there for her. Ballimore refused to bury the body of his deceased wife, he was convinced that his magic could bring her back so that they could be a family and that Elizabeth could have a mother. For years the wizard practiced brining dead animal back to life, delving further and further into dark magic which was against the law in Gaia. Elizabeth grew worried for her father and begged him to stop, he would not listen, she knew that he would not be able to bring her mother back. One day Ballimore was caught practicing dark magic and trying to bring his wife back from the dead, Elizabeth had alerted the King and he sent his guards down to arrest the man. Ballimore refused to leave his wife and started to lash out and tried to attack the men, they went to defend themselves by attacking the wizard but Elizabeth saved her father by taking the stab. She died in her father’s arms. The wizard said that he will be back, that he will curse the land of Gaia.
Ballimore has escaped the dungeon in the Elven Kingdom of Arilamos, he said that he would be back and when he does that they will all scream in fear and bow down to him as the King of Gaia. Now the Tree of Life is sick and beginning to lose it’s ability to bring life and magic into the mysterious and wonderful land, the creatures of Gaia start to turn on each other and hate and war arise. The kingdoms of Grevania and Ederraveth close their gates and no longer trade with the other kingdoms. The land of Gaia is slowly beginning to die, eventually there will be no green or magic left and Ballimore would have won the fight and become the most powerful being.
It is now 1994 in Germany, a young boy is born, a prophet, the one who is meant to break the curse set on the magical land of Gaia. The word gets out and spreads all across the land, this boy is the land’s only hope of stopping Ballimore and the curse. All of the kingdoms send their best knights to find the child and bring him to the land, however none of them succeeded without being caught be the humans living in Germany. The fairies hear of the prophet and set out to find the child and successfully bring him to Gaia to save them all.
Hi guys, I hope you like the sound of this roleplay. I’m super keen on working on it! This is kind of like an adventure, fantasy roleplay. I won’t be playing the main characters in this rp, I will let you guys have a go at it if you are interested!
