Harbinger of War, Chaos, and Poptarts
A History
the Land of Shai'la-kor is one of progress and innovation. First centuries ago by the empire of Groal, a continent across the world. The land was occupied only by Orc's and Elf's, but man's numbers allowed the many kingdoms to take claim across the kingdom. Soon, the warlike nation of Briton was discovered, having harnessed the boundless resources for centuries, allowing the settlers to use the innate magic and resources of the land to advance, until they where able to break off from their native country's forming a collective of city states, all united in the name of progress and freedom. Mages and Artificers from across the world gathered in Shai'la-kor, eager to use the mysterious Magiks of this new world, building academy's while the wild lands became domesticated- quickly discovering the well of psychic energies that resided in this land, developing a system of telepaths to send messages across the land instantly.
As the world advanced, heroes began to arrive in the land with the discovery of the ancient dungeons buried under the earth of Shai'la-kor, with adventurers guilds quickly building offices as centuries went on. Centuries after the discovery of these dungeons, the Abyss Lord Dack'Or, an ancient demon trapped in one of those dungeons by one of the many ancient civilizations that had resided in this land, all disappeared with only ruins later commandeered by Orc's evidence to their existance.
Four heroes where recruited to fight this monster: A Paladin, A Cleric, and A Wizard. The adventures journeyed across the land, gathering companions as the three heroes pursued a weapon capable of destroying the demon and save the realm. The party spent years fighting the demons and seeking their quarry, before they did the impossible and defeated the weapon, three heroes emerging victorious. The Heroes where given immortality for their valor, some now worshipped as gods, nearly a century after the heroes of a different story arrive- your story.
Now, The land's nations are divided- once allied in the name of advancement now on the brink of war. The Heroes are scattered across the land, and a plague is spreading through the land, leaving no survivors wherever it dwells. A group of new heroes have been summoned from across the multiverse to stop this curse and return the land to peace, to gather those heroes to fight whatever is causing this, with the well known communications network suddenly broken, sending waves of violent psychic energy and killing all who attempt to use it.
