You're going about your normal business one afternoon in a small town in Ohio. Maybe you're taking a walk through the fallen leaves that fill the sidewalks, or maybe you're drinking tea in a local coffee shop. But no matter where you were in this town, you could hear it. It almost sounded like a sonic boom. You can go and investigate or pretend it never happened and move on with your life. Whichever decision you choose though, you will be affected by what made the noise. Whether that is a good or bad thing all lies in what you choose to do. Good luck.

I just want to make sure I'm getting this right, but this "boom" can affect my character in whatever way? And that's how this will be roleplayed?

There will be a way that what made the noise will affect your character. It mainly focuses on if you go and investigate or not. In the beginning not that many people will be affected and in very small ways if they are. However, when it gets going, something will happen and everyone will be affected one way or another.

Name: Melissa Attison


Age: 18


Gender: Female


Personality: Melissa is a bit shy and reserved, not really able to aproach people on her own. If she is aproached, however, she can keep a conversation going easily. She loves to listen and to observe, and she is rather opinionated, though she only gives her opinion when believes it necissary. Because Melissa was homeschooled all of her life, she has a bit of a different outlook on life. Once Melissa gets to know someone, she becomes rather quick witted and sarcastic. When she gets nervous, she rambles, a lot.


Past: Melissa was born to a lawyer father and a stay-at-home wife. Living in the bustling city of Chicago, Mr. Attison was able to get a well-off job and keep it. His wife was looking for a large family, but complications with her pregnancy made it so that Melissa would be the first and last child in the family. The complications also brought about a visual impairment in both of Melissa's eyes. She is still able to see the world, but it is harder for her to get around with her blurry and unfocused vision. Despite this, however, Melissa grew up in a loving home, and to her slight exasperation, her mother decided on homeschooling her for all of her schooling career, only attending a few classes at the local high school. Melissa's parents, after having her, decided they wanted a change of scenery, moving to a small, sleepy town in Ohio, where he found a job that still paid rather well (sacrifices had to be made for the betterment of the family, he would always say.) Last year was Melissa's senior year of high school, and it was time for her to enter the world, which looked like a daunting prospect.


Appearance: Melissa stands about 5 feet 9 inches, weighing 135 pounds or so. Tall and thin, her figure is usually hidden by loose outfits. Her dark-blonde hairis shoulder-length and styled in choppy layers. She has light blue eyes, which have small specks of gray dotted throughout them. Her hands are delicate, and her feet are just a bit too big for her body. She has fair skin, and freckles along the bridge of her nose, especially during the summer.


I had to use a description because I'm totally blind, and so finding pictures isn't my strong point. If anyone wants to search for one, I say totally go for it!

Personalities: Ada has always been a kind, friendly, open-minded, down-to-earth type of person. She is also very mature, intelligent, protective, and supportive of those closest to her. Adalynn and her brother are both very curious and adventurous people, and enjoy nature.


Shayne, much like his sister Ada, is a very intelligent, mature, kind soul who is very brave and protective of those he cares for the most. He and his sister are both very adventurous, curious kind of people.


Past: Ada and her twin brother Shayne grew up in a small town before she moved to where they lived now. Their mother was a nurse, and their father an insurance agent. Just before they moved to their current home, Adalynn and Shayne's mother had just suddenly left their family with no word of goodbye, having turned in a notice for quitting her nursing job only three days earlier. Adalynn and Shayne, for a while, had some minor trouble learning how to get along without their mother in their lives, but they became more independent people because of it. Adalynn and Shayne have always been inseparable, though particularly since their mother left.
