The plot-
You have died, like many others on earth. But you have been given a choice by red text and a disembodied voice that seemed way to smug and probably taking the piss.

“you’ll be reincarnated on Aerth in your body with all your memories of earth... the gods will give you two gifts,
a weapon and a power... but on top of that each sentient creature on Aerth has mana so you’re technically getting three gifts right? Anyway... all you have to do is escort the chosen one of some people, take this guy some places... protect him while he does his thing and help him complete his quest. You do that? You get a wish! Anything you want... sounds tempting right? Cause if you refuse you die that’s it. Nothing else... this way you live again. And you know, that wish son!”

The rp would start after you take this deal, from there you and other players would meet each other and who you have to assist.

Your gifts from the gods and magic can be chosen by you but I may have to ask you change or edit things depending on lore and other story stuff.

Quick question for the magic.

Is it like standard elemental magic? Fire, Earth, Wind, Water, Light, and Darkness?

Or is it like DND where it’s school based and the types of magic are grouped into what it can do?

Or are we talking Black Clover, where each concept and item has their own magic?

Everyone on Aerth is suited to one type of magic from the mana they have inside their soul and heart.

You could think black clover style, yea
One might have wind, another might have fire,
One might be telekinect one might turn invisble or be able to speak to animals/control monsters.

Think like avatar bending rules but for every power.
Or quirks from my hero academy.

Mana is randomised but usually passed along in genetics. "That family is suited to fire mana" etc etc

Pooossibly interested. But yeah I'm interested in what exactly denotes a certain type of magic from another type. Is it just 'haha throw literally everything into a bag and see who gets what!' or something a bit more structured? I don't mind either to be frank but it'd be nice to know. Also powers: any rules about scaling, both in terms of general power level and growth? Or are the weapon/powers completely seperate to what Aerth can offer?

Fire mana or magic would allow the user to conjure and control fire. So think avatar fire bending or pyromancy.

Apply that logic to any other power or magic.
That is magic and power in its easiest explanation.

For power scaling that’s harder to explain as I have little time today.
No one will be god by the third arc aha
