All those questions would constantly fog your mind and it was slowly killing you. All the orphans in YEAR K.8.0. were never worried about where they belonged and if they ever were loved...
But you did.
You worried.
You always looked back to see if your memory would provide you with the answers you sought.
But you never succeeded.
Because there's a mind-block in your head.
And because you're different.
Different in a way that completely destroys your world.
In this Earth, an Earth that exists millennium after World War II, there are only 6 like you.
And the government is hunting you down.
You are one of K.8.o's successful experiments, forbidden, outlawed, and certainly not human.
Not entirely human, that is.
