The Last of Us:
The Twin Quarantine Zones
Story
Set in the world of Naughty Dog's The Last of Us, the nation builder The Twin Quarantine Zones will initially take place in the Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington region of Minnesota. Characters begin as mere individuals, with the maximum of four additional family members within the processing center of the Minneapolis part of the Twin Quarantine Zones, it's counterpart being to the west, in St. Paul.

The Cordyceps Brain Infection struck fast, many rural families and local authorities being caught unaware during the initial Outbreak of late September, 2013 across the continental US. Many families of Northern Minnesota escaped into Canada, but the few left behind in the Cities were unable to make it out before Martial Law was enacted and the Canadian Border shut. Riots have occurred in the past two days in Minneapolis, quickly being put down by the Military with extreme brutality. Now, formal admittance and citizenship taking place at the start of this roleplay, both for current residents and recent Stragglers from outside the Walls.
Gameplay
Early on, you make your own way or provide for your family in the Zone, any number of things can be done to earn ration cards, which are needed for a variety of goods to help you survive the first of the four seasons of this RP, Winter. The way you can earn Ration Cards is nearly infinite; from volunteering for construction work, collecting lead pieces from Infected outside the Zone, and even doing the base amount of work the Military requires you to under their protection.

Not all ways to earn Ration Cards pay well however, as it will become increasingly evident throughout the Winter and not all ways will be safe, the Infected providing a constant danger to the most lucrative of opportunities. You can smuggle, or become a part of a gang, but such paths can lead to the Military discovering your operation, forcing you to flee the safety of the city or face your subsequent execution.

If you survive Winter, Spring will bring new challenges, but allow you to now secure a building and recruit more people past the starting limit of five, allowing you to now form a hardened group of survivors to compete with other ragged bands across the city and the continental United States. This is when I will fully implement the Nation Building part of the RP, which now would become turn-based; with players outlining their modifications to their bases, scavenging runs, and battles against other Factions in posts, amongst many other actions to help their Faction prosper and perhaps one day even reunite the good ol' US of A under one flag again.
Suggestions & Developers' Notes
Again, I cannot stress this enough, if you find a problem with the above features please post here or personally PM me your thoughts, ideas, and other changes, or if you wish, @OnMelancholyHill, my Co-Developer, to alleviate all concerns raised.
