The Earth has fallen. After decades of warnings, humanity was caught unprepared for the arrival of the Zenith Dominion, an intergalactic empire ruled by a ruthless royal family that specializes in conquering planets and assimilating their resources and knowledge. The invasion was swift and catastrophic, leaving Earth a barren wasteland. Humanity is presumed extinct.
Ethan "Levi" Grayson, however, survived. The aliens spared him not out of mercy but because of his extraordinary intellect. Levi was the architect of humanity’s last desperate attempt to fight back: a virus that temporarily disrupted the Zenith’s advanced technology. Though the virus ultimately failed to save Earth, it terrified the Zenith leadership—no species had ever managed to compromise their systems before.
Now a prisoner aboard the Zenith mothership, Levi faces an uncertain fate. He is subjected to brutal experiments as the aliens attempt to understand his physiology and, more importantly, how his mind works.
The alien scientists are baffled by Levi’s brain structure and cognitive abilities, which seem to operate differently from any other species they’ve conquered. His ingenuity and creativity are traits that the Zenith, for all their power, lack.
During the initial experiments, Levi’s resilience and sarcastic defiance attract the attention of Y/C, the daughter (or son) of the Zenith King and Queen. Unlike her/his war-hardened parents, Y/C has always been curious about the species her family conquers. Y/C becomes fascinated by Levi.
Y/C begins secretly visiting Levi’s cell, asking him questions about his life, his world, and how he created the virus that nearly crippled their empire. At first, Levi distrusts Y/C, seeing thrm as just another captor. However, their genuine curiosity and unorthodox behavior (by Zenith standards) begin to chip away at his defenses.
During one of these visits, Y/C witnesses the brutal effects of an experiment on Levi. Disgusted by her/his people’s cruelty, Y/C confronts their parents, arguing that Levi’s mind is too valuable to destroy. Y/C proposes that Levi could serve the Zenith as a technical consultant, helping them improve their technology and strategies.
The King and Queen dismiss the idea at first, but Y/C, determined to protect Levi, bargains with them. Y/C offers to personally oversee his work, ensuring his loyalty. The rulers reluctantly agree but warn Y/C that any failure on their part will result in both her/his and Levi’s execution.

Leading humanity's resistance is President Jonathan "Jack" Hartwell, a former fighter pilot turned wartime leader, whose charisma and tactical brilliance have united Earth’s fractured nations.
In a twist of fate, a Zenith ship crashes near Area 51, and among the wreckage is Y/C, the daughter (or son) of the Zenith’s royal conquerors. Y/C is captured alive and becomes humanity’s most valuable prisoner—a potential key to understanding the enemy and devising a strategy to fight back. When Y/C is found they're brought to a high-security research facility at Area 51 for study. Jack (my OC) is informed of the capture and travels to the facility to oversee the interrogation and experimentation personally. His presence ensures ethical boundaries are maintained, though the scientists are desperate to uncover useful intelligence. During one of the initial experiments, Jack witnesses Y/C’s fear and defiance. Despite Y/C's alien nature, he recognizes the sentience and insists on finding non-invasive ways to extract information.
Jack begins visiting Kaelira regularly, attempting to gain her trust and understand her species. Kaelira, at first, tries to manipulate him, using her telepathic abilities and charm to mislead him and stall humanity’s progress. However, Jack’s sincerity, patience, and refusal to resort to cruelty begin to disarm her. He treats her not as an enemy or an experiment but as an individual, planting seeds of doubt about her people’s agenda. Meanwhile, Y/C learns about Earth’s cultures, history, and resilience through Jack and the scientists. Y/C starts to see humanity not as weak and primitive, as Y/C's people have always told, but as resourceful and complex.
Y/C begins to question the Zenith’s conquest of Earth, especially after learning about the destruction they’ve wrought. Y/C starts to see the parallels between humanity’s struggle and the countless other worlds her people have subjugated. Jack learns that Y/C’s telepathic abilities and unique physiology could be the key to developing a countermeasure against the Zenith’s technology. However, using her in this way would likely result in her death. As Jack struggles with the ethical implications, Y/C overhears a secret meeting among the military scientists, who plan to override Jack’s orders and conduct lethal experiments on them. Y/C confronts Jack, accusing him of betraying her. Jack pleads for her trust, assuring her he will protect her and find another way to stop the Zenith.
The Zenith discover Y/C’s capture and launch an assault on Area 51 to retrieve them. In the ensuing chaos, Y/C is offered a chance to escape back to their people, but Y/C hesitates, torn between their loyalty to their family and their growing affection for Jack. Jack and Y/C fight side by side during the attack, forming a deeper bond through their shared struggle. Y/C saves Jack’s life, and he, in turn, risks everything to ensure Y/C's safety.
As the Zenith forces retreat, Y/C reveals a shocking truth: their parents are preparing to unleash a planet-destroying weapon if humanity doesn’t surrender. Despite their doubts about the Zenith, they struggle with the idea of betraying their own family.
In the climactic confrontation with their parents, Y/C must decide whether to stand with their family and uphold the Zenith’s conquest or side with Jack and humanity.
