The Last City

The Last City is located in the areas once known as New York and Pennsylvania. The government type of the city is unknown to those who reside outside of its walls, but the general populace outside it generally view it as evil and corrupted.
Inside its walls the city is ran in a Socialist fashion, with each person assigned a job around the age of twelve and forced to keep that job for the rest of their existence. The government rules the citizens with an iron fist, and doesn't allow the people to do anything without obtaining permission - this includes being able to love or care for another human being. If someone does something without authorization from the government they are either publicly executed or thrown out into "The Infected Lands" to fend for themselves.
As shown in the picture above, the population is sorted into various districts depending on their stance of power. The lowest of the districts is D.3, with the majority being farmers. This area is heavily dotted with indoor gardens that tower high above the average buildings in the area, with the homes of the farmers being nothing more than metal sheds. The scouts, military, and pen-pushers reside in D.2, which is graced by tall streamlined office buildings and apartments. Members of the city's political structure and leading military personnel live in D.1, and their district is littered with various stores and gargantuan housing districts.

The Infected Lands

The Infected Lands consist of the area outside of "The Last City." Out there, T.A.V. still runs rampant and abandoned quarantine zones litter its reclaimed landscape. Leftover cities are now retaken by nature, and civilization is close to none besides the occasional group of wanderers or "The Last City" scouts.
Most of the people residing in "The Infected Lands" are either crazy from the effects of T.A.V. on the human mentality or are agony survivors simply trying to scrape along on what little they have left.
(Non-Infected people have been seen.)
