Fantasy The Last 24 Hours

That One Dinosaur That Didn't Get the Message
Five centuries ago, the universe ended in a short 24 hours. In the first 6 hours, many planets, including Mars and Jupiter, were completely destroyed by collisions. On Earth, great volcanoes began to rise and erupt all over the planet as the animal went wild, killing many of the people. Within the next 6 hours, black holes across the universe began to expand exponentially, swallowing everything in their path. On Earth, these hours saw the oceans rise and swallow many lands, and the winds scarring many others. In the next 6 hours, stars everywhere began to lose stability and explode or go supernova, including the Sun. With this, all of Earth was destroyed and humanity went extinct. Then, in the final hours, all matter in the universe simply faded to nothing.

In the silence, God was finally able to hear the prayers of his people, which now only consisted of their desires to survive the end. He granted them this, and everyone awoke to find everything as it had been the morning before; mothers who had given birth were pregnant again, everything was calm, and all people were still alive. The only difference being their memories of the preceding day. Relieved, the people rejoiced, only to relive the horrors again. Mothers gave birth again, the dead died again as before. Again, they awoke the next day, as it had been before, with odd machines attached to their arms with a single message, simply reading, "Hello! This is a soul gauge. It is a permanent gift from myself to you, as is your current life! When it ends, tell me what you want most, and I'll give you it!"

And, so, throughout the ages, the people experimented with the machines and their final wishes and discovered these:

-Messages sent through the soul gauge remain until deleted

-The soul gauge did exactly as its name suggests, and measures the strength of a person's soul

-Depending on the strength of a person's soul, they get more or fewer wishes

-Final wishes cannot be used to gain something a person doesn't have, end it all, teleport, or make people survive.

-Final wishes can be used to keep positions, begin the next day where they died, or keep items or progress from the day.

-The person with the strongest soul's final wish overpowers those with weaker souls.

Since that fateful first day, humanity has split into three groups: The Timeless, The Endless, and The Hopeless.

The Timeless: These people are those who wish to end their curse so that it simply ends and doesn't repeat. They work to progress survival beyond the end to kill God in the hopes to end the cycle. Their furthest survival time was 18:51. They care little as to who survives beyond themselves, and only work to further their cause. They use the Endless to help themselves, but have been reported to occasionally save a Hopeless in the hopes of recruitment.

The Endless: These people are those who wish to prevent the end and keep everyone alive. Often, they see the deaths of others and create prevention systems to keep them from dying in that moment. They hope to find a way to protect themselves from the stars and prevent the matter from dissipating. Their furthest survival time was 18:30. They often battle the Timeless after a raid and care little for the Hopeless beyond their survival.

The Hopeless: These people are those that have given up on salvation and accept their fate. Many are those who die in the first moments or don't care about the world. They include a subclass of soul mercenaries who often ravage the others to solicit their final wishes to keep their own things. Their furthest survival is 17:59. They generally don't interact willfully with the other two factions beyond the strong mercenaries who murder others everyday until they agree to sacrifice their wishes.

1. Be reasonable!

2. Killing other characters is allowed without their owner's permission, since it isn't permanent.

2. Max the final wishes at about 10, and only for the strongest characters.

4. I might add other rules, but I feel number 2 and the site's rules should cover the rest.
