Basic Mathematics - In a world where education is a luxury, this IS a skill.

Magical Abilities: Earth:


Earthquake - Causes a the ground around him to shake and break. Adrian unfortunately uses this ability to sell insurance while saving the very people from danger.


Spikes - Causes Stalagmites to rise up from the earth to pierce his enemies.


Personality: Desperate. Adrian is a man who has a family in a small town far away to support. Him selling insurance for the largest bank in the land of Terra means that he travels a lot. This has let him see the injustices of the Empire as well as those who hold a position of power. However, he himself needs to make a living, and so despite his giving heart, he still has a job to do. He gets angry easily, but holds a sense of self-perseverance that tells him to stay alive as long as possible.


History: Son of a moneylender. Adrian was never really well like by the townspeople. However, he learned to keep calm under pressure and taunts. This has made him a determined person. As the years passed by, he found himself in the largest city of the Empire. There he worked for the Granskill banks. The largest chain of banks in the land. Working as an insurance peddler, he traveled everywhere and was exposed to the cruel injustices done by those with power. Angered, he found himself entirely powerless to stop them, giving only small mercies to ease the suffering slightly. One day, as he was chased out of town after doing an insurance brief after the town was hit by a flashflood, he saw light crash down the ground. He went to the hill where it landed and saw a big shard with various colors shifting within in.


He touched the shard and he saw the vision.


Other Important things: He holds the biggest piece of the shard, so the abilities he gained were far stronger. But he improves slower than the others.

Trapping - The primary skill of his trade. Whether it's tripwires, mounted crossbows, pit traps or some other way to attack a foe indirectly, he's got a handle on it.


Simple engineering - Though not formally trained, he's got a knack for assembling simple mechanical things.


Magical Abilities: Air:


Windburst - A momentary surge of wind at a certain point nearby. While the air itself makes no noise, its passage can easily knock things over and scatter small objects, so it's not a reliably quiet thing. While the direction of the wind is only approximately controlled, it's enough that if someone was very small (which Vylchyn is) and wore baggy clothing that could catch the wind like a sail (which he does), it could be used to clumsily fling oneself through the air in a crude imitation of flight. While it works, Vyl avoids doing it because it's "undignified" to go tumbling head over teakettle through the air. Against human-sized targets, the wind is strong enough to knock someone over if it caught them offguard. Small flames such as candles or very small campfires may get blown out, larger flames will only get whipped up.


Endure the Sky - Vylchyn is passively less effected by low temperatures. He's not immune to cold and he'd still need to take shelter in a blizzard, but he can comfortably exist at -10 celsius without needing additional clothing. As a secondary effect, he is capable of rendering himself immune to electrical damage, but he has to be aware of it before it happens and have a moment to focus.


Personality: Lackadaisical. Vylchyn is used to being able to rely on luck or his own fast-talking to get him out of most trouble, and to this point it's worked out for him.


History: Vylchyn was, like most Kobold, born a total coward. Acutely aware of how physically weak they are next to nearly any other race, a core part of childhood for any Kobold is trying not to die and probably seeing others die around them, either from surface raids, monster attacks, cave ins, or any of the other countless dangers of living underground. It was in this world that Vylchyn grew up, and through cowardice learned to appreciate his people's most powerful tool to defend themselves: traps. Showing an aptitude for the skill in a culture that greatly valued it opened doors for Vylchyn, and he wound up apprenticed to an older trapsmith. Vylchyn proved a capable protoge, enough that his mentor felt comfortable bringing him along on an excursion to a nearby ruin with ancient traps they hoped to study. They found a monster before they found the traps though, and it was only youthful energy that let Vylchyn escape—a resource his master couldn't call on. Thinking like a true Kobold and immediately giving up his master for dead, Vylchyn took off running.


A few misadventures later and he found himself returning to the same ruins, this time as a contractor to dismantle the traps. He had discovered that his skills were in steep demand by a rather niche clientele, and that he was able to leverage his race's infamous reputation for heavily trapped warrens to let him sell his skills for more than they're probably worth. He intends to eventually return home someday, but for the time being he's enjoying seeing the world.


One day, he happened to be traversing the woods on his way from one contract to the next. He was whistling to himself, so at first he didn't hear the whistling noise approaching from overhead. He did notice it when when it punched through the treeline, whipped over his head by inches, and embedded itself in the ground nearby. Investigating it, he found what looked like a small, broken bit of glass. Touching it left him reeling as the vision overtook him.


Other Important things: Vylchyn can set dangerous traps, but he's almost worse than useless in an actual fight. He can't steady a crossbow to save his life, he doesn't have the strength or stature to put most melee weapons to good use, etc.

Persuasion: Although he's just another drunk, he needed to use persuation many many times. It's his most cherished skill, and the one he is proud of.


Sword fighting: He's a wasted natural. Even though he knows the basics, his ability has huge potential.


Magical Abilities: None, doesn't use magic.


Personality: If one would rip off all the things that ruin Genis, you would get a general hero. He has all those skills, but his cynical and selfish nature make it impossible to surface. Although he's help friends as any man would, he can be considered sort of a Craven, since he's far from brave. He's always in a happy moode


History: it isn't something to behold. Not much things to say, except that he's grown up, and still lives in a small town. Nothing interesting happened in his childhood, he wasn't of noble birth... Just a regular citizen. If by regular you consider his drunken nature. He's probably flirted with every girl in the village, making him the classic player... Though that's yet to work for him.


One day, while going for a walk, chasing after a woman. He tripped and found a shard...

Personality - Lucio always wears a mask that covers half his face (like in the pic) and he is usually quiet which makes him mysterious, he doesn't understand jokes or sarcasm, taking everything so seriously. He's the type of person who stands up for himself and others if he grew a liking to them, if you want someone to have your back Lucio is the perfect guy.





History - Lucio was born into the Organization Group of Assassins. Lucio was different than the other children that were there in the organization, he was in much more physical shape than the others, which made the assassins take a liking in him and always trained him more harder and make him do tasks that the others in training wouldn't be able to do. After years of training, Lucio finally became one of the assassins.

Personality: A calm graceful young woman of gentle upbringing who loves animals and the outdoors. She is polite and carries herself delicately. When she isn't doing household chores, she reads adventure novels in the garden or picks herbs in the woods while listening to stories and news from the sparrows. Behind her demure visage, she carries a longing to explore the great wide world.


History: Anastasia had an ordinary happy childhood growing up in the manor of the Duke of Hampshire as the daughter of one of the maids and a carpenter. She was homeschooled by her mother and father, but soon her love for books outstripped their knowledge of the world. The Duke was very fond of her and allowed her to borrow books from his library. She grew up taking care of her masters and made dolls for her master's daughters. She also painted heraldic designs on their furniture, and would sing to the mistress and the Duke's mother on golden afternoons.


One day, while picking flowers in a meadow, she found a crystal shard gleaming in the sun.

Sound Wave - A blast of sound that causes things to rupture. Can be controlled enough so it just creates a force to move an object away.


Personality: Bronze is a jolly soul, singing songs during his travels. He loves the company of people, often making jokes and listens to peoples woes and troubles. He tries his best to help the poor, giving his earnings from singing in the streets and giving them hope with a positive personality.


History: Bronze was an orphan boy who took a liking to music. He ran away to follow a group of travelling bards and begged them to let him come with them. They allowed him to come with them in their travels, each teaching him how to fight and how to play music. As he grew older, he decided it was time to leave the band of bards, and as a parting gift, he was given his guitar which he then named Keys. From there on out, he has been travelling on his own. Shortly after, he decided to join a talent competition called Gaia's Got Talent. Maybe he'll become a famous idol he thought, but for some reason, the competition was cancelled. Bronze was disappointed.


On a cold night, as the man gazed upon the stars, he made a wish on a shooting star, "I wish for that woman and her kids to be safe." He saw the star crash into the woods nearby, and he head straight for it to investigate. A strange shard was glowing on the ground; it was the only light deep in the forest. Bronze was hesitant to touch it, but overcame and touched it. He had the vision.

Ashen soot encrusts parts of its Iron black mail that looks more hardened stone than smooth metal. a small red cloth accentuates its left pauldron and it brandishes a Towering shield accompanied by a Spiral designed spear. Upon Closer inspection the Golem looks as if it has "eyes" glowing behind his Helmet

Childish and Playful, Quick to sudden bouts of emotion and quite energetic at times. appears to enjoy playing and exploring the world around him, though somewhat annoying due to his playfulness. In battle, its another thing...


History:


"....."Bert" as the lads like to call him, doesnt speak, and even if it did its vocabulary would consist of Echoing Grunts, scoffs, Squeels and Cries all resonating from its Helmet. we gave him his name after looking at the inscription Located in his neckguard only piece of information from him really. we found him in the ransacked fort located south of the village, standing eerily still atop the bodies of the Bandits that siezed the fort. Duevont our scout came back to us, poor man looked like he wet his pants, he was still green so it was only natural, Bertram even had a chuckle seeing him in that state. I tried reaching out to the thing at first but all it did was give this wide eyed stare back at us, we thought he might be a Freelance Knight doing a bit of work for Coin. Job was done anyway so we set back off, and to our suprise the thing followed us back to the village.... i took a few of the men to keep an eye on him and sent the other ones off to report what had transpired. didnt say who he was, or what hes doing, but im sure that he did in those bandits.


He was pretty harmless... in fact all he ever did was look at things with an almost childlike Stare., occasionally he'd respond to us with childish gestures. He'd clap when he felt amused, Points at things he likes or wants to show, and one night he started dancing in the tavern, though with his armor they kept him outside after he broke the platform first try. Dont really know why he keeps the armor on day and night, then again wierder things have happened.


one night though we found him looking upwards in the rain. he started pointing upwards on what looks like a shimmering dot of light falling from the sky. he did that all night trailing where the light would land.

Eric is a well known blacksmith within his hometown. Despite being alone, he gets along with children within the local. Despite his hardships, he tries to make the best out of things as well as grab opportunity.


History:


Throughout his life he took an interest in making things. By the age of 8 he began his journey as an apprentice in blacksmithing under the guidance of his father. His mother was the most Dearest to him, but died due to an illness incurable, leaving his father and him devastated. 11 years later after grieving, his father decided to go out to the world to find ores as well as himself, thus leaving Eric old enough to his own devices. Eric being 23, sought to make a weapon he can call his own: his golem gauntlet Argus in his left arm, which serves as a weapon and his sheath for his 1st sword: Quicksilver.


Proud of his work, he goes to a small patch of forest to hone his newfound interest in fighting.

  • Adept blocking skills: due to the years he spent using a shield, he has mastered the proper usage of it, and is able to keep his footing from most light to moderate level attacks.

Enhanced willpower: The light enhances his willpower so he can keep on moving with increased stamina and vigour.



Pillar of light: He can create a devastating pillar of light which strikes down from the skies. So far, he's still trying to grasp its powers probably, and can only create pillars that are capable only of attacking a single enemy, though this power is slowly, but steadily increasing it's potentials as he keeps on using it.



Flash of light: He can create a sudden flash of blinding light of a 9 feet circular radius. He's also trying master this one.



Personality: While he may seem like your typical hardened run-off-the-mill knight with no dedication to the code of chivalry, he was certainly very different from that, while he was hardened and pretty much very intimidating mentally and physically, he's actually a kind and nice person with a charitable heart. He's very assertive, and likes to help people who needs it, and has enough confidence and optimism in his many endeavours. Whilst he does have a orderly and disciplined demeanour, he does like to occasionally crack a few jokes, good or bad, to raise his and other people's Morales. Though, note the occasionally, he tends to be more orderly as an example of a true knight.


Whilst he may be a calm, peaceful and sincere person, that's when he isn't in the heat of battle. He tends to lean towards his more practical, serious and focused demeanour. Still, he isn't that very much grim as he looks like. He practices his observational and awareness skill daily by meditating. Though, in battles, he tends to be a lot more aggressive and bold.

Bio: He was born in the upper class district of the human kingdom to a renowned scholar, thus, ensuring he received an easy life. His father wished to also enlist him as a scholar, but that dream was to shatter shortly afterwards.





He was selected to join a diplomacy group to initiate in some peace talks with the opposition, when they were found moments later by a scouting group, they were all dead, and it was implied that they were killed by the opposition, though there was insufficient evidence to cement that theory, as no witnessed were left alive.






He was soon taken into the care of his uncle, who was knight and wanted him to be an orderly knight too, and after quite a few moments of deep thinking, he finally decided what was ultimately best for him.






He was sent as a squire to a veteran knight, so he could learn the trades and the art of knightly combat, and their proper codes. After he was done with his training and his term as a squire, he was knighted and given the human kingdom coat of arms. He was then given parting gift, which was a Kite shield and a zweihander, from his former master. From there, he made an oath to protect his kingdom and all those who live in it from any impending doom or opposition.



Eh, that was until he met a shard. Which gave him the power to destroy more evil folks!

BASTARD SWORD

KITE SHIELD



A kite shield was a distinct type of shield from the 10th–12th centuries. It was either a reverse teardrop shape or later on, flat-topped. The tapering point extended down to either a distinct or rounded point. The term is a neologism, created by Victorian antiquarians due to the shape's resemblance to an early European kite. He usually keeps it slung across his back using a guige strap when not in use.
