The Premise
The Land of Statera, a world brought to creation by the intensity of five stars. Five stars that were the first to exist within the galaxy of Qefela. Qefela was a galaxy far outstretched from all others, and was at first, quite empty. Though, unlike traditional heavenly bodies, the stars within Qefela were live creatures. Beings of what one could consider to be close to omnipotence, and these beings were the sole existence within their galaxy.

None quite know if these beings ever had a name to call themselves, but there is the undeniable fact that each of these five stars were different in their own right. The brightest of them all was called Basileus, a golden star that represented strength, warmth, and life itself. Basileus molded the world of Statera, forging it to be a home for the sisters stars and itself to reside upon.

Three of the sister stars were led to reside on Statera, stars that were equally rivaled in intensity— Tellus, Aequor, and Nomos. Each of them illuminated the world forged for them with a different hue. Tellus exemplified verdant green, Aequor exemplified ultramarine, and Nomos was purely white. Eons passed where these four shared the same plane upon Statera, but each grew desperate for the desire to create parts of the world of their own volition, but even together, they were not quite as powerful as Basileus. Thus, they added to his creation to mold it into something greater. Tellus brought forth soil, vegetation, and molded biomes for each to prosper within. Aequor covered part of the world with water, and together with Tellus made the first ecosystems within Statera. Nomos took to the skies, creating the atmosphere and constructing the concept of air and other gasses. Nomos was the one who provided a protective layer for the world of Statera, protecting it from stray debris in the space above.

Basileus was grateful for their assistance upon his creation, and their bountiful resources blessed upon its land, but it grew lonesome. The sister stars spread across the vast world, and it resided in a part by itself. Thus, it created life. Basileus produced the first species— humans, faeries, immystia, and celestials. It gave them intelligence, and the ability to communicate and forge civilizations. It then created wildlife, animals, creatures, and other monstrosities that roamed the planet and graced the many founding ecosystems. It was the first sign of life, and the beginning of the first era; the Dawn of Life.

Though as magnificent as the first era began, it was brought to a wretched end by the fifth star, Libitina. For 1,000 years, the age known as the Dawn of Life prospered, but Libitina, the dimmest of all the stars, consumed Statera in darkness. It was Basileus equal, and brought about a period where Statera was devoid of light. Libitina manifested the concept of death, an end to life, and corrupted Basileus’ monstrosities to attack one another and the other species. Libitina birthed the first emotions of love, lust, hatred, greed, pride, sloth, wrath, and envy. From it birthed a unique line of species known as the Manaborn, the most powerful of them all, and it brought about the prospects of magic. Libitina casted her shadow upon Statera, and broke in a boundless chase to consume Basileus’ light. Thus, forging the concepts of night and day in their endless battle. Libitina’s presence was the beginning of a new era; Evenfall.

70,000 years have passed since those times. The stars interaction with Statera grew to be almost nonexistent, and the first species spawned more variants of themselves as time passed. Elves, Swiftborn, Dryads, Zaikenn, Demi-folk, Merfolk, Goblins, and Orcs were brought into this new world. Each unique in ability, trait, and so on. Magic evolved into a tool of war, used by many, and the most powerful users of each were feared and respected. Settlements grew into kingdoms, and as of recent, the years were now being recorded. The first royalty and governments were made, and turmoil grew between three kingdoms in particular.

It was the now current era, the Modern Era.

The Modern Era

Many civilizations exist within Statera, but the most renowned are three in particular. Rherand, a kingdom founded by the first humans in the world, and home to a plethora of other species. Rherand is by far the most diverse of all the kingdoms, though even now it is still ruled by a human King and Queen. It sits within the plains of Statera, and part of its biome stretches into forests. Rherand is known as the epicenter of trade within the world, and home to many forms of entertainment as well. Though, currently, they are at war with the Queendom of Yaelith.

Monsters roam the land when night strikes, a common enemy to all, and thus many make their living off mercenary work or enlisting in their respective king or queendom’s armies. Guilds have been formed throughout Statera, forming a side business in light of the war. Militias have grown tenfold in response to the darkness of these times, even kingdoms such as Rherand and Yaelith going so far as to employ some of the guilds that thrive currently to fight under them.

Despite the war brewing on, some fear that something else is happening behind the scenes… but none know what.
