The year 2059 is afoot and 3 warring factions have torn Egypt to shreds. The Egyptian government was removed in the blink of an eye when most major members of it's upper branches were removed by the invention of laser machine guns. Most of them died a heat death in the summer night of 2055. Still, no one knows who made this attack. Some assume the Muslim group Soccre (صقر) is responsible for these attacks but most believe the crazed religious group Thorben (ثعبان) is responsible for these attacks. No one knows for sure because most of the evidence was destroyed in the fires.
A secularist group, Capsule was contracted to take residence in the old capitol, Cairo and divine what they could about the attack. Only a few high ranking members of Capsule know about the secrete purpose of their Egyptian occupation: to assassinate the leader of Soccre, Aarif and ravage his oil rich lands.
The rest of the world is in the middle of a technological renaissance and has entered an era of peace and prosperity unlike any other recorded. Electric cars are the industry standard. The average human life span has been expanded to 150 years of age. The only territory that is technically at war with another is China and North Korea. After running out of rubber and living space, China decided to expand it's territory and influence through violent means. North Korea, having no allies was an easy to pick on nation and is mostly a flaming wasteland, not dissimilar to Vietnam during the Vietnam war.
The United States has entered a new space age and has even come close to landing filled shoes on Mars. 6 weeks stands in between the greatest space achievement and the United States. After buying out an inventive individuals rocket company, the U.S.A. could launch rockets into space cheaper than ever before and take astronauts further, faster than previously conceived.
As it stands, most civilization is centered around Cairo with large contingencies of Soccre being put in one of three locations: Sinai, Sanhur, and Sohag. Every remaining member of Thorben lies to the south, in the harshest locations Egypt has to offer, this including Abu Simbel. There have been few reports of Abu Simbel, but the reports that have been recorded all included the mad ramblings typically associated with heavy heat exposure. Some sightings reported gusts of wind being produced from human arms, dead rising from the very sand to give chase to the members of Capsule and some even reported the sun being blotted out in the middle of the day by sudden clouds.

- This role play is half sci-fi and half fantasy.
- This role play should be in the third person and does not need to be limited.
- Unless you're going to kill a character completely and without warning, you don't really need to ask for permission. You should though simply want to keep the RP dramatic and within some level of reason or interest.
- If you wish there to be characters that engage in sex, there needs to be a fade to black. Implications are fine, explicit content is not.
- Ask me before joining. If I have enough competent individuals that would like to join, I may be tempted to make a 3 or 4 person RP.
- Your character can be from any country that you'd like them to be from and can be in any faction other than Thorben.
