Within the Depths of a Dream
The Lab
There isn't a lot of lore here so I would encourage you to take a gander through it so i don't have to repeat myself 50 million times :D
 
The Island
This is the island where the roleplay will be taking place. Before you ask, no escape is not an and will never be an option so please don’t ask. The light yellow-green is a grasslands like biome, the darker green is a forest, and the brown is a rocky roughlands type of place. There is vegetation and animals aplenty around the entire landmass as well as fresh water so basic survival isn’t much of an issue.

The Factions

There are various factions that have formed over the years of these this project has been ongoing, they have been detailed below.

EbonguardResidents of the deeply wooded area of the island, Ebonguard is where most of the animalistic experiments gathered. Having a strong pack mentality, they believe that making do with what the abilities they have been giving to use what the forest and island are able to provide is the key to survival and trying to escape will only be filled with fruitless efforts. Their camp is within a grotto in the wood, small caves and alcoves making up their dens.

Stereotypes
The Order - “Idiots blinded by the abilities they were given. They’re no more civilized than us, but their beastal nature just takes a different form.”
Haven - “Soft and prone to scatter should anything more than a slight wind caress the island. They are not prepared for the difficulties life is going to toss at them.”
The Enlightened - “Poor fools implanted with images of false gods as they lack the will to live for anything else. Maybe one day they will realize how wrong their preachings truly are.”

The OrderThe most advanced of the four, they have a complex modern-esc facility buried in the barren rocky section of the island. Comprised of those that considered themselves ‘mages’ they have much more structure than most of the four, acting almost like the scientists themselves. They hope to civilize any “beasts” they come across to try and bring this Island into a new age and compete with already established countries.

Stereotypes
Ebonguard - “Beasts that have succumbed to the nature of their mutations, they have the potential to be useful assets once reintroduced to society properly.”
Haven - “Waste of talent. If only we could convince them of their potential would they join our ranks.”
The Enlightened - “Their idiotic beliefs can be exploited should we play our cards right.”

HavenDespite not being the most developed, they still draw many of these unfortunate souls with their accepting and caring nature. Accepting anyone and everyone with open arms they provide much more of a familial environment, helping integrate new experiments and offering a community for those accustomed to their new situation. They are glad to make-do with what they have, though dreaming about a better tomorrow is still on most of their minds. Their village is located on the border of the plains and forest where they can still gather lumber and farm at simultaneously.

Ebonguard - “It is their choice alone to endure such a rough lifestyle.”
The Order - “They are brainwashed by pride and power. All they need is to remember where we all originated from.”
The Enlightened - “They are free to put their faith in something when they can’t find it elsewhere, as long as they do not force it upon anyone else.”

The EnlightenedDifferent from the other four, they believe that what was done to them are gracious “gifts” given to them by the “gods.” It was their destiny, the next stage in advancing humanity, and they weren’t going to squander being the chosen people. They live along the coast, wanting to be as close to their “gods” as possible.

Ebonguard - “Coax them from their beastly ignorance into the salvation that awaits.”
Haven - “Souls that have yet to open their eyes and experience the truth of our being.”
The Order - “Ignorance lets them be consumed by the power their gifts possess. We shall teach them and one day they may learn.”
