Currency is gold coins of various sort and barter, say the pelt of a monster could go for ten or twenty gold pieces.
Kirkwall.
The largest city in all of lordran, massive stone walls taller then giants/titans surround the entire territory.
Most of Kirkwall’s food comes from the various farms dotted along. Closer to the tall castle is the stone city of Kirkwall, a smaller but equally impressive wall serves as the city’s second line of defence.
The slums are located all along most of the second wall becoming more extravagant as you get closer to the tall castle.
Places of note in Kirkwall.
While everything behind the first wall is known as Kirkwall, the first section is known as the farmlands or the floral Forrest, small/average beasts and monsters live in the Forrest. Bounties are often put up for a particularly troublesome monster.
The wall district is the polite way of naming the slums. It has houses, shanty towns in hiding, dirty bars, drug dens, brothels... and if you know the right people it has anything you could ever want, for a price.
The markets, in the middle of the city. Buildings and stalls, buying and selling almost everything.
This is the most patrolled area,
The Magi academy and the guild of champions hall is close to the markets.

People can hire mercenaries here.
The Magi academy, three floors and a dungeon full of magic and the people who pursue it. Shen Anigans is the headmaster, said to be one of he greatest wizards of all time. Shen was the most recent to fight Wolftooth, he barely escaped with his life.
The tall castle, where the kings Leo and wert Amber live. The castle is like most fantasy castles, big fortified and impressive to look at, to build one requires lots of time... And probably slaves.
A barracks is attached to the side.
