Race Information- Please Read
Erelloth has an extremely rich culture. Nine different races have been settled in Erelloth since the beginning of the kingdom, each with its own history and beliefs. Though Nords are the most prominent race, each has impacted Erelloth in some way.
Nords- The Nords are a strong, hardy, race. They are the lifeblood of Erelloth. Most wealthy folk are Nordic. Nords are typically dark-haired and light-skinned, though Nords come in every shape and form. They're typically more skilled in combat than with magic. The Nords are the sworn enemies of the Astridians, and the hatred is mutual.
Astridians- The Astridians are pale-skinned and have cold-colored eyes. They are immune to disease. Their magical practices tend to focus on death magic. They worship a patriarchal pantheon of gods and goddesses. They believe the powers that be are extremely involved in their lives. Most religious observation is very organized and rigid. They've made themselves at home in Erelloth, and aren't planning on leaving any time soon.
Daywalkers- Daywalkers, also known as forest elves, are the most secluded race in Erelloth. They've risked extinction many times in the past, and therefore tend to stay away from big cities. They make their home in the heavily forested areas of Erelloth. They're usually green-haired and dark-eyed, though variations do sometimes occur. Daywalkers thrive on sunlight and can't stand cold temperatures. They're skilled in archery and healing, and rarely have anything to do with magic. The Daywalkers don't have any enemies, but are often hunted by other races. Rumor has it that Daywalker blood has healing properties, and because of that rumor many Daywalker camps have been decimated.
Nightwalkers- Nightwalkers, also known as snow elves, are equally secluded as their Daywalker relatives. Snow elves reside in the snowy mountains of Erelloth, either in mountain caves or underground warrens. Their skin is extremely sensitive to sunlight and can even be fatal if exposed to the sunlight for too long. Nightwalkers are also an extreme minority. Many Nords mistook the Nightwalkers for vampires in the past, and they too were hunted to near extinction. Nightwalkers are extremely pale and pale-haired. Some have red eyes, while others have pure black ones. Nightwalkers are extremely skilled with magic, and are considered to be the masters of the old times.
Orcans- Orcans are the brutes of Erelloth. Many are mercenaries or soldiers, as they are revered for their abilities with a war hammer. Orcans are typically unattractive creatures, their skin either a gray or yellow with fanged teeth and entirely black eyes. They stand at around 7 feet tall and are truly intimidating creatures. Orcans arrived in Erelloth very recently, about a hundred years ago. Yet they've made a name for themselves on the battlefield, and are very wealthy creatures. They're also skilled in smithing, as they usually make their own weapons.
Fae- The Fae are a beautiful winged race that are revered by all. They have been in Erelloth since the beginning of time, but have never once claimed the land as their own. They are extremely wise and peaceful creatures, believing that violence is never the answer. They are light-haired and pale, and their wings are delicate and usually a pale blue. The Fae are skilled in magic, but use it more for healing than battle.

Erelloth is an extremely large kingdom. The High King watches over three provinces, each unique. The first and oldest province is Thombarien. This province is made up almost entirely of Nords. Astridians aren't allowed inside of Thombarien. The king himself resides there, in the center of the province in the capital city of Jorggansr. It's heavily guarded from the Astridians. Thombarien is the most modern province, with a sewer sysem and the beginnings of indoor plumbing. Food is plentiful and so are good spirits.
The second province is called Aghirrholm. Aghirrholm is a snowy province, containing the mountains of Erelloth. The largest recorded population of Nightwalkers live there in the mountains. A small amount of Nords live there, as Aghirrholm is primarily the home of the Astridians. It snows all year-round and the sun is only out for a few hours each day, as it's usually too snowy for the clouds to clear. As a result, Aghirrholm is a very poor province. Food is hard to come by since potential farmlands are always covered in snow. They survive on what they find while hunting, or what they can trade with the other provinces. The capital city of Aghirrholm is called Murgand.
The last and most vast province is Wyestone. The people of Erelloth call these the wildlands. The Daywalkers and Fae have made a home here, though the terrain is rough and treacherous. It's densely forested and rains often. Everything from bears to dragons lurk here. There isn't a true capital city, but the largest city in Wyestone is a settlement called the Bluffs. Orcan camps are scattered around this province as well.
