OUT OF CHARACTER CHAT
Setting: A modern day kingdom amidst the Astorian desert, the year being 2024. Wintertime has arrived, so the air becomes cold as the sun disappears, and welcomes the night. Snow falls gently around the kingdom, though strong winds and blizzards occur further into the expansive desert. There is diverse plant life around the kingdom, as well as structured walls for protection.
Astoria is a new community, and their guidance is not from a royal family, but instead people who are considered members of Astoria's elite force. This force regulates decisions, and the people within it assure the safety and productivity of the kingdom. It consists of a criminal justice team, several people with different skills, and a mayor. Their population is made up of two different types of people, the kingdom mainly inhabited by the upper class. They are wealthy people who dress elaborately, and express their fashion openly with others. Then there is a thriving middle class, who work at a variety of unique jobs.
Plants and trees have been planted thoughtfully throughout the streets within the village, and architecture has been constructed in the same respects.
Roles:
Bandits
There shall be at least four of them, and no more than six. These characters are between the ages of eighteen and twenty-five. I will play Bella~
Kingdom Characters
I want at least six or eight people from Astoria, their ages ranging from twenty-one and thirty-four.
Plot: The elite host the kingdoms first annual ball, a glorious occasion with high expectations. Everyone within the kingdom is invited to dance to classical music, feast, and strengthen relationships. Ms. Marigold, the mayor, asks everyone to dress as nicely as possible, but to consider everyones situation. She wants this to be a memorable event, and requires goods from the city that is not surrounded by desert terrain. She has connections with several businesses in this city, and sends a letter to Jackson's Jungle, a specialty shop for fine ingredients and herbs...
Dearest Jackson,
I need a few things for our first annual ball. I have checked with the weather reports, and the desert should be safe to travel.

Jackson is a man of gentle nature, and has told his family about Astoria many times. He decides to let his daughter, Bella, attend the dance with her closest friends. This is when the group of friends make plans that could change their lives forever...
Their vision is slightly ambiguous, and involves thievery. They are all going through some form of hardship, and they want to leave the city and find adventure. Bella finds it difficult to keep hush about what she knows of Astoria, and has told her friends about the exotic culture. Her father has told her stories about precious jewel mines near the kingdom, that only special people get to be a part of. He has also informed her about their different ways of life, and that some of the jewels have been crafted into beautiful jewelry. Magnificent rubies, sapphire, and diamonds... made into jewelry to possibly later signify royalty within the community.
This information intrigues Bella, but she is persuaded by her friends plans.
Simply, they are to mingle at the dance, and find a way to steal the royal gems.
After this, they escape into the desert, and the characters from the kingdom are to chase after them. This occurrence was not foreseen, and although members of the elite would primarily be sent into the desert, things have become personal...
Sharp, brutal winds from a blizzard can occur, and they join forces to survive and find the nearest city. Or something else... I believe this role play can go in many directions, would anyone like to discuss ideas? I hope some of you will find interest in this role play... xD;
