Realistic or Modern The King of Keshland

Miko followed innocently after Aiko, "Hi Jacob!~" She said with an excited smile, face lighting up a little, "Me and Aiko didn't see anything in there, its pretty empty but she did look at my body, she kept trying take my shirt off it was weird~" She chuckled, not the best wording although evidently to her best friend it meant no harm.

"Whadda' ya' wanna play chest for, it's sooooo boring!" She continued with a slight slump, hugging Aiko again from behind, "You should play something fun instead! Like-…. uh, hide n' seek girls love hide n' seek!~" She continued.

Avlina wandered away from the Royals, not seeing a point in staying after Daniel left. Finding a glass of wine, she downed it before taking another. She walked around the room, sipping the second glass as she looked for anyone she knew. These parties are so boring.. Maybe I can find the castle library.. She thought, smiling and nodding at the unknown nobles who greeted her.

Jacob's heart stopped when Mioko said that. Before giving a quick glare at Aiko that clearly stated they were going to talk about this later, Jacob said while trying not to freak out that his sister may have sexually assaulted someone.
"Well I don't have anyone to play hide and seek with, I would love to if I could though. I am mostly just planning to play against myself once I can actually find it...."

Aiko stayed as stoic as possible upon hearing Mioko.

I took your sleeve, Mioko, not your shirt. Your SLEEVE.

Jacob gave her a look that clearly meant that they were going to have a talk later. Oh well...

“You can always play hide and seek with us!” Aiko said cheerfully, holding on to Mioko’s handsorarmsimnotsure.

Elicia spotted the king and she supposed clotilde leaving the stables before walking back into the castle. She sighs before deciding to follow the girl and hopefully get her alone so they may talk.

Normally one who was the life of the party, Clotilde suddenly found herself disinterested as she had walked back into the throne room. She was too excited for later to care about the party.

"My name is Clotilde Rohan, Your Highness," said Clotilde politely, as she curtsied. She could hardly hide her bitterness in her next words. "And what are you doing here? Vying for the king's hand?"

Sgt Gomez Sgt Gomez

"My kingdom is in grave peril. I have been sent her to vy for the king's hand in marriage, but I do not wish to. I wish to be on the front lines fighting to protect my people," she pulls off her glove to reveal a recent scar on the palm of her hand, "Do you know what it feels like to be stabbed?" She chuckles trying to lighten the mood.

"I wish you luck," said Clotilde, sounding bored with hearing about why Elicia was after Daniel's hand. Clotilde knew that she could never be anything more than a mistress. Clotilde looked at the scar on Elicia's hand and a look of disgust crossed over her face. It looked like it had been painful. "I am pleased to say that I have not been stabbed."

"I do not like your tone of voice," Elicia says flatly to the girl. "You have an air of arrogance surrounding you and it is annoying me," she whispers so only the two of them can hear it.

(Elicia wants to just fight this girl now for being rude to her)

"Well, I apologize, Your Highness," Clotilde drawled. Clotilde wouldn't lie. It bothered her that she would never marry Daniel. "I do sincerely wish you luck. I suppose it is better for me that the King wed someone who does not want to marry him."

"I may not wish to marry him but I am fiercely loyal and I wish my partner to be loyal as well so if he wished to be disloyal. I would not be able to guarantee his safety. Betrayal is handled harshly in my kingdom," she says without a thought.

"A heart cannot be forced to be loyal," said Clotilde with a small smile. "But I would be careful if I were you. I would not want a rocky marriage with a war between nations in a bed chamber."

"The heart is a funny thing," said Clotilde, showing her annoyance. "It is not a person and some don't want it trained. I certainly don't. How dull life would be with a disciplined heart."

"I have a disciplined heart and my life has not been dull. I have known loss and war. I have known love..." her words drift off. After a moment of silence she continues "discipline is not bad," she bows her head as if commemoration a fallen lover or comrade."

"I suppose we each have our own idea of what makes an exciting life," said Clotilde. "I, for one, would have the most boring life if I had a disciplined heart." Clotilde' face softened a bit as she spoke of war and love and loss. "I am sorry for what you had to experience. But if you need as much help as you say, I would not be worried if the man who could help would be loyal."

"That is why my father and your king made an agreement. He would send troops and supplies to keep my people fed and fighting...we would pay him and there were other agreement stipulations but I do not remember them all," she looks up at the girl. "I have seen more death than most men see in their entire lives."

"That is awful," said Clotilde. "And I am sorry that you had to endure that. But in such a dire situation, loyalty of my husband would be the last thing on my mind. I could always find love elsewhere."

"Love is not a commodity to be bought or sold. It is something you create and maintain with another being and is only for that person. You may have different types of love, but true love is the most powerful of all. The more love you give to another person, the less another has."

"That we can agree on," said Clotilde. "Many people in our rank accept the idea of a loveless marriage. I have. I am well aware that marriage for people of our ranking has nothing to do with love. But that doesn't mean we must stay with our spouse at all times, we can be free to seek love, true love, elsewhere. I am sure that is what the King intends to do, and it is certainly what I intend to do."

Elicia frowns. "And the conversation returns to discipline of the heart." She had a feeling this girl would be trouble if elicia did end up marrying the king.

"I would never want my husband to be disciplined of the heart, to stay loyal to me," said Clotilde. "I'd think it very selfish of me to force him to do that. I would rather his heart find happiness on his own."

"I find it selfish to think thst they leave their wife and find themselves disloyal because they want to find themselves happy without thinking about how their spouse would feel about it."
