Mioko was shocked as her arm suddenly got pulled into the air, her sleeve dropping down to reveal the marking that spread over most of her arm, trying to struggle free of the girls grasp but failing in her attempts and instead looking fearfully into the girls eyes, "I-It's nothing….. Really! It's- form a long time ago okay? It just flares up some days is all I didn't wanna let you see it…." She mumbled, the marking now becoming slightly apparent on her face, she did have it for a long time, mostly subtle but always there, due to certain allergies it tended to brighten on certain occasions and the polled in the air most of caused such today. "I-I promise I'm fine, okay?~" She offered.​

Jacob felt incredibly uncomfortable being near his family, he would much rather do anything else than awkwardly stand as his family discussed courting his brother. Though once Charle's womanizing ways were brought up and the queen rudely dismissing him and his sister, Jacob couldn't help but intervene.
"Mother...."

He cringed using that word. But nevertheless he continued.
"I thought you were taught to have manners, I'm pretty sure a queen wouldn't show her distaste towards her daughter and sons out in ."
He already felt like a fool for saying anything but Jacob couldn't stand it when she talked down to his siblings.

Taruka blushed a little at his apology, taking a seat once more and thankfully considering how her back had been all day, waking up early to organise the kitchen hadn't helped, but it wasn't like he was sleeping before then anyway. The head pats were a familiar and friendly touch to her and although tempted she didn't slap him for that, she shook her head at his words, "No, It's- fine I guess I'm just a little high strung lately?~…." she replied with a sheepish shrug, at the hand touch to her stomach her arms failed around a little in shock before freezing to do much more than simply listen, "You always were a flirt, weren't ya?~" She chuckled a little, at the kick with let out a sigh and slight wince, "Yeah, a little too energetic for my liking lately, I thought the worst part was throwing up twenty four seven for the first month or two but nope, they've decided I need to start that up again lately, haven't eaten anything or to days now that I can keep down, not too mention the lack of sleep~…." She muttered, resting a hand gently on her stomach, "And don't you dare touch my stomach again without permission you creep, you're just as bad as the rest just because I'm carrying a man being in me doesn't give everyone the damn right to just touch it!~" She continued, feeling relieved to finally get the rant off her chest.​

Mioko reacted in such a way that made things much more suspicious. She claimed that "it" was from a long time ago. That the markings on her arm flared up. And now that Aiko looked at her face a bit more, she noticed similar markings on her face. She furrowed her brow. Was this actually a burn? Or was it something else? Aiko's family didn't have such markings on their skin.

"If it's nothing big, then you can tell me," She said.

She let go of Mioko's hand.

She'd trust Aiko with everything, there was hardly a secret between the two but this was something- she didn't want to mention, her wide and innocent eyes desperately searching around for an excuse to change the subject but finding none, she didn't want to run away from her, that would mean not being together, and it was rare they had time alone like this.​

Did someone... hurt Mioko? She looked like she was about to cry. Aiko stopped herself from asking more questions. She didn't want to hurt her friend.

She'd have to just assume that this marking wasn't the result of something simple. No, it must've had to do with her past, maybe before she became a servant here. Jacob was to tired to even argue and he had to agree wth the witch. He would forever be low life trash that was simply dressed up like a doll. Before becoming a prince his mother was a prostitute who whored herself out for money. Jacob was merely the result of her dangerous job. He didn't remember a lot of the details besides that.

Taking a step back and sneaking back out of the cupboard she gave a curious grin towards her, "Whadda' you wanna play?~" She asked in an excited tone, bouncing and down once and seeming as though she'd completely returned to normal.​

You have to take care of yourself, and your child." he once helped a lady who was also pregnant, it was a friend's wife back then and it made him exhausted when he was to guard her for a few days. He chuckled when he was told that he was a flirt. "Oh hungry, I have some berries with me. Here you can have them, I think these are healthy and good enough for you and your child." he said, taking out a small sack filled with berries and nuts. He hands them over to Taruka and placed it on her hand. He flinched in surprise when she suddenly starts ranting. "W-well sorry for being a creep." still startled by Taruka.

Taruka was happy he accepted her apology, at the inquiry of medicine she shook her head, "I- don't have that kind of money, and it's not like the child is in wedlock, they'll see it as a bastard…. Poor little baby they never did anything wrong~…." she mumbled quietly to herself, as the berries were offered she politely shook her head, "As good as they taste going down they really aren't worth it coming up again, I'll have to wait till he's asleep again later this afternoon before eating, otherwise I'll risk throwing up on one of the guests~" She chuckled, at the rather unexpected sincere apology towards touching her she was caught a little off guard, "Oh!- I didn't mean it- like that, I just meant when other people just come up! I mean, it's still my stomach why does everyone just do that?~" She teased back with a light sigh, staring up briefly towards the sky, "I best get back to work, the head will be angry is she catches me outside like this~…." She muttered in a stubborn tone.​

She was so easily amused and happy, just the fact of the sun shining in the morning seemed to cheer the girl up, it'd be hard to imagine her ever being angry or in a bad mood at anyone.​

Jacob searched high and low across the library and yet he couldn't find his chess set. Maybe one of the maids misplaced it by accident. He stretched and decided to look in the closets that were strewn around the castle. Though he didn't find his beloved set, Jacob did however find his sister in the closet with Minoko.

Jacob's cheeks turned as red as fresh beets. He didn't know and didn't want to know why they were in there together alone. Jacob quickly stumbled out,

"Oh um! Aiko...why are you uh..nevermind.. Is my chest set in there?"

Mai's eyes blink and was silent for a moment and walks away, when it was a good enough distance, instead of being mad, she actually started laughing. "Haha, I've never seen my brother with that expression before. That was interesting." she giggles and thought of the girl who was with him. She composed herself before saying "Brother's lover.... this will be fun." she mumbled to herself before walking back to the throne room, to see Jacob talking to their mother. She gulped in nervousness before she approached the queen and said "I apologize mother but it seems like Brother is nowhere to be seen, I've asked my servants to where they last saw him, but to no avail, no results." she looks at her step-brother and smiles at him. 'If brother is happy with that girl then... so be it..' she thought, feeling a bit left out or replaced. Since she was somehow quite attached to him since they were children.

She stuttered timidly before quickly walking off again with a kind-hearted and polite smile, waving a little as she began to wonder once more, re-entering the throne room to once again check around on the supplies, everything still had more than enough to last and it made her happy she wouldn't have to walk all the way back down to the kitchen, the newly crowned King walking in and towards his mother on the throne did catch her attention however getting closer and almost bumping into Daniel only a few inches form the two catching herself and letting to a small sigh of relief, "I-I'm so sorry- my majesty~…." she replied, she was wearing one of Miokos flower crowns on her head still she was given earlier, the pink and violet hues looked beautiful on herself.​

The queen snatched away and walked out then Daniel sat on his throne.

Aiko stood up and, grabbing Mioko’s hand, was about to lead her out the closet when she saw Jacob. Aiko watched in slight amusement as he turned red and he went out of the closet.

Aiko walked right out of the closet, hopefully pulling Mioko along with her. She looked straight up at her brother with innocent eyes, as if she had no idea why he had acted so flustered.

“I didn’t see your chest set in there,” she said. “Who are you going to play chest with?”
