That certainly would be quite some task and she couldn't quite stifle back a polite laugh at it, he'd always denied just about anything with brute and blind force, though now king it was expected he have a wife post-haste,but then again he wasn't exactly showing off his best side to attract them at the current time, she listened to the females words keenly and nodded when appropriate, "Well, think yourself lucky to not be some person plaything who's now pregnant with what feels like a vault of iron weights in your stomach~" She teased in a cheerful manner, once again resting a hand on her stomach and smiling a little, "Anyhow, can't say I have any tips on how to capture the elusive mans heart, good luck though and please- just call for me if you need anything a all and I'll be more than glad to help." She said, beginning to walk off again, after doing another quick look around she decided to retreat from the crowded room, having enough of the judgemental stares and the, who's child do you think it is of the nobles.

Finally able to breath she wandered down the hallways, it was so quiet during these events, all the hands working their hardest to make things go smoothly, it was a tad eerie to be honest, tensing up she quickly emptied the building with a small eep as one of the many palace cats Mioko was soon in love with suddenly jumped out of nowhere only a few steps from her, going out the door and assessing her surrounds she found herself within the royal garden, biting her lip a little with concern before curiosity she began to walk over and towards the seating area, hoping for some peace and quiet at last, maybe a nice place to nap even? "You certainly are trouble little one, if I don't get some sleep soon you'll be the one answering for it~" She chuckled and whispered to herself, getting but a small kick in reply which she shook her head at, "If only you could hear me, then I'd have someone to complain to but I guess an over sized stomach is better than getting marries to someone I barely know~…." She continued, trailing from the previous conversation, soon coming to a seat not too far off from someone else who she hadn't been paying attention too on a bench, letting out a sigh of relief at finally sitting down and glaring stubbornly at her stomach.​

Mai felt like she was just stabbed when he commented her about her looks and her words and just smiled at the blonde in front of her. She merely chuckled thinking about her pranks and teasing days with Charles and said. "I guess you're right about me being the same old Mai, right?" she shrugs "But please bear with me for now." she said calmly when a man approaches her and bows to both her and Charles. "Princess Mai, it's been so long." the man laughed as he let himself kiss her hand and look at her like she was a prey. "Lord Devin, it has, hasn't it?" she was back to her princess mode and gave him a fake smile. "My you have grown so beautifully, just like your mother. I expect great accomplishments from you, just like your brother, alright?" his hand still holding onto her hand. Mai notices his eyes and had a bit of a shock and steps back. 'Calm down Mai... you're surrounded by a lot of people, it's fine... just keep calm...' she continues to smile and said "Thank you for coming, Lord Devin... I-" she was cut off when Lord Devin's wife called out to him as he got startled and said "Ahaha, it was nice meeting you again Princess Mai, I'll excuse myself now." he said, nervously and hurries over to his wife's side.

Mai watches him let go of her hand as she notices her hand trembling. She hides it with her sleeve and sighs. "Uhm... so anyway Prince Charles.." she stopped as her face turned pale and her hands couldn't stop trembling. Just thinking about those days has immediately made Mai tremble in fear. Charles called for more wine and drunk it very fast “I think we should make the formal announcement one week from today.” Charles pushed his hair back “However, I have a list of things to ask before I finalize this with your Brother.” Charles pointed to the door leading to some stairs “Can we talk over there it’s getting pretty loud in here.” As Charles walked over he continued to talk “Your brother spoke very highly of you... Modest, honest, virtue still in tack, and gifted in many things my question is why aren’t you already engaged.” Charles opened the door and sat on the steps “I thought I would have to marry Aiko,” he said laughing then stopped

“I hope one day we grow to be fond of each other I don’t dislike you, however, courting someone who use to put bugs in my hair doesn’t excite me.” He looks Mai in the eyes “Tell me you’ve changed ... Matured and is ready for something more than petty puppy love... Tell me your ready to build an empire ... No a free nation... Tell me you have the same dream as me and lord Daniel.” Charles looks away “Tell me that you won’t try to force something that’s not there... one day I might love you and if that might turn into never tell me you will stand by me as my partner... And if the might turns into I do tell me you stand by me as my wife and as my nations queen these are my requirements for marriage.”

Not too long, Ezekiel's peaceful time is over. He grumbles a bit and turns his head to look at the person beside him. A pregnant woman, but wait, she looks rather young for someone to be pregnant. He stares at her for another minute, noticing she was glaring at her stomach. But then, after looking at the woman's face one more time, he said "Is that you, Taruka?". His stands up and stands in front of her, giving her another good long look before confirming that it was one of his childhood friends. "Taruka? Woah, it's been so long since we last seen each other." he said, wanting to hug her but was too cautious that she might think he is some kind of pervert. 'She's pregnant... but with whose child....' he thought, suddenly remembering the time when he tried to flirt with her back then but all those effort were useless since she still was oblivious to courtship. Taruka was a good childhood friend of his when he used to camp around the kingdom before he had to go and transfer to a new place to work in.

Throne
Mai followed Charles and listened to him quietly. Hearing him say that her brother was praising her, she felt she accomplished something big. But after hearing him say his little speech to her. She felt afraid at first, but looking at his eyes, it seemed like he was serious in wanting to build a free nation with her. She saw the little shadow of Charles, who she used to prank and tease and looked up at new Prince Charles. She as well wish for a free nation. Where people won't have to be afraid to travel to different regions. Where there is order and peace within the kingdom.

He also said something about that one day he might fall in love with her. Mai clenched on her sleeve then turns around to face Charles and sits besides him. She nodded and chuckles before saying "Free nation. Engagement between us for a stronger alliance. Being your wife and having the same dream. All this will be possible if I prove myself to you, right?" she closed her eyes to calm herself. Noticing that her hands stopped trembling she opened her eyes and looks down at them. "I've made up my mind." she smiles and stands up and turns to face him. "I humbly accept and will prove you that I, Mai Ferry, will be your lovely wife, and will make you fall in love with me." she grins, starting to act like herself again. "Be prepared, Prince Charles." she grabs his hands and pulls him up to stand in front of her and giggles. "I'll really show you what I'm capable of." their bodies closer than ever. She giggles and cups his cheek with her other hand. Making it look like she was about to kiss him when she pulled at the last second when they were intimately close. She let's go of him and takes a steps back and felt the happy after teasing him at the last second.

Elicia nods to the pregnant girl before she turned to leave. Now where would she find someone who may know where the king is? She glanced around and spotted A boy sitting on a chair. "um...excuse me...sir?" She asks the boy as she approached. "You wouldn't happen to know where the king is do you? I have an...arrangement with him I would like to discuss as soon as possible. It is of the highest priority," she says and curtsies with the manners taught to her by her country's best tutors. Politeness and manners were never her forte for sure so she gave the tutors the run for her money.

Clotilde Rohan had always lived by the rule of being fashionably late. She had always adored making an entrance. She had dressed in her finest lilac gown and her long blonde hair was done up intricately. She loved dressing up in her finest. She had been looking forward to this evening for quite some time. She was looking to congratulate the now King Daniel, whom she had quietly admired from afar. She knew how royals worked, however, and she knew that he would have to marry some princess of another nation. Still, Clotilde was determined to have fun tonight. She adored dancing. Dance Lessons had been Clotilde's favorite ever since she was a little girl, and she was glad when any sort of ball or party came along and she would get to show off her dancing skills.

As soon as she arrived, she began looking around for the newly appointed King. She noticed him finishing a dance with some woman whom she did not recognize. She decided to wait on the side until she left him alone, and she could talk to him one on one. It seemed to be the best option.

Jacob looked up to the woman. She had blinding red hair that stood out from the dull blondes, Browns, and greys that made up the party. Due to her question Jacob assumed she must have been one of the many suitors sent to win his brother's approval. He got up and looked over to Daniel and saw him on the ground. Jacob finally replied a deep bow, a sympathetic smile, and said while pointing.

"I believe Daniel is over there my good woman, though it appears that he is wooing some other."

He's always demanding I go meet this suitor or that, but he won't let me come home." She said sadly as the dance ended, curtsying and thanking him again. She noticed as his attention switched to another girl and walked away in a daze. Well father, looks like his heart is set on another. She thought as she watched the pair. Shaking her head lightly, she turned back to look out the window, wishing she could just escape the party and go riding.

He noted that Elica looked a tad uncomfortable but he didn't have any conclusive evidence as to why. With a frown, Jacob replied with "I don't believe I know enough details about the arrangement myself."

Now, Daniel, this is the kind of kill you want the noble people to see you with." While his mother was looking at Avlina he handed you a note the note said:

"Meet me by the tables after this horrible party there is something I've been wanting to ask you for years."
His mother didn't notice you taking the note.

"Avlina is a beautiful princess and has much to offer a young king she isn't cheap with questionable virtue." Daniel sighed "I've met her mother she's intelligent and a wonderful dancer very light on her feet," He said smiling.

Thinking about how she used to treat Charles back then, she just chuckles at how childish she was. Secretly putting bugs in his clothes, scaring him when she got the chance to do so. She didn't know why she did all those things to him back then. But now, he's really grown up after those years apart form him. Remembering his smile and his little speech to her, she felt warm inside and made her cheeks flush. 'What's wrong with me... am I sick or something?' she thought, grinning without her realizing it.

Daniel smiled "Did you hear Mai and Prince Charles are engaged," The Queen searched the room for Mai "MAI .." She shouted then realized this was a party "Sweetie.. Please come over her." Daniel reached for a cup of wine and handed to his mother he mouthed the words "I'm sorry," to his sister." The queen looked at Daniel there is another woman I want you to meet named "Elicia!" The queen called out for Elicia "I forgot to mention you will be marrying one of these young ladies as soon as possible our kingdom needs an heir." Daniel sighed "Mother I will marry for love and nothing less..." The queen looked at Daniel like he committed treason "Love isn't a luxury that us royals have we marry for political reasons and if we are lucky enough to love our partner then that's a plus."

Clotilde scowled at the queen as she told her to find a husband. She was well aware that the queen did not like her. Clotilde did not like her very much.

"I shall look," said Clotilde. She looked to Daniel and smiled. "But it hard to look notice any man when the king is in the room."

She took Daniel's note and curtsied before walking away. She walked off to the sidelines and read the note. A small smile crossed over her face as she thought about what it was he wanted to ask her.
