Taruki smiled at the woman's words of keeping care of her brothers and gave a nod as much as she could, at the words of how you are right now she raised an eyebrow for but a moment before gaining context from their expression and giving a smile, her continued explanation for concern was met with but an awkward gaze, "I-I would…. And I've asked for it as well but I'm not allowed to, too much work to be done and ever indebted to that-…. someone, anyhow I have a small room under the base level big enough to at least lay comfortably on an old mattress and that's more than enough to be thankful for, mena Is don't have to walk here and home everyday!" She chuckled, "I don't have the money to afford a doctor or anything really, I barely get given enough to eat on a regular basis, and that's better than most of the other staff~…." She continued with a warm smile, seeming genuinely grateful for such things.

"Hmm." she stared at the girl and thought of something "Such little things and you are still grateful for it." she said and imagined herself being a small room and with an old mattress. She smiled, liking her attitude more and more. There was something different about this girl from the other servants and she found it interesting. "I like you. Let me be your friend." she grins at her and giggles. "I remember that I sometimes see you playing with Ezekiel when we were kids. I wonder, how he is doing." she wondered and sees a leaf fall down and looks up at the tree. It was a young man who was carrying a bag and he jumps off the tree and lands in front of them. "Looks like this tree isn't so secret anymore." he said while eating an apple.

Ezekiel bows over to Mai and Avlina. "Sorry that I haven't had a chance to have a little chat with you Princess Mai. It seemed like you and your family were busy." he shrugs and sees her eyes light up and Mai hug tackles him, making her on top of him. "Woah there, Princess not in front of the others, haha." he jokes and pats her head gently, showing a genuine smile. She was like his little sister he never had and always worries for her. But he was glad that he gets to see her again, by chance. Mai giggled and gets off of him and goes back to sit down with the others. "Looks like you three know each other now? I've actually been sleeping until I heard some voices." he said, looking at the other two ladies and smiles at them. "Hey there Taruka, Avlina." he waves at them and sits back up, brushing his messy hair from the sudden tackle hug.

An hour ago...
Ezekiel just bought a bunch of books again and placed it in his bag. He was looking around the town when he sees the tree that he usually goes to with Taruka when they were kids. He had to go to the meadows and then climbs up at the tree to read a book before he fell asleep. But when he was about to fall asleep, he hears a girl shout, it was Mai. It looked like she was troubled, wondering what was wrong. Then Princess Avlina and Taruka came to talk with her.

Taruka seemed curious at her words, "Of course I'm grateful! Just to have a job in these times is to be thankful for ya' know?~" She continued, at the sudden request of rather formal sounding friendship she giggled and smiled, "If you would have me as such I'd love to~" She replied warmly, as Ezekiel was brought up she went to open her mouth but as though summoned by the princess' words he appeared falling from a tree, their tree. She chuckled, "I suppose it's not so much anymore~" She teased, lightly blushing as the princess so suddenly hugged him, she'd have done he same if it weren't for this stupid stomach!? with a light sigh she watched them interact for the few moments before waving in reply and nodding, "Y-Yeah~…." She muttered in an awkward tone, wincing a little at a rather strong kick from the boy, it happened sometimes when she was startled, as though he were either punishing her for moving quickly or encouraging her in some strange fashion, reaching a hand out she gently rested it on top of the bulge.

Ezekiel was one of the people she looked up to. Mai was glad to see that he is back in Keshland and it seems like Taruka was also glad to see him. Mai noticed her wince a bit and was about to ask if she was okay but it seemed like Ezekiel was the first one to ask her that. "Hey, you alright there?" he asked and moves close to Taruka's side and rubs her back gently. "You need anything? Or maybe you felt another kick from your kid?" he asked and grins. Mai watches him care for Taruka and smiles. He wanted to touch her belly but it may anger her again, so he kept his hand away from her stomach, just in case. And Mai noticed it and giggles.

"You look like you wanna touch her belly."
"Well sure I want to, there is a baby in her right now and it's not everyday I get to feel a cute kid's kick from a woman's stomach."
Mai giggles. "I guess you are right. But don't bother Taruka too much, don't stress her out as well."
"Of course Princess Mai."

Taruka looked up at the two curiously, giving a reassuring closed eye smile and waving a ahdn dismissively, "I'm fine~ Just them deciding to be a little too active I suppose?~" She continued with a smile and let out a breath, what she wasn't expecting power was the next discussion between the male and the princess, her blush intensified a little as she awkwardly glanced away, "I-I mean…. Y-You can touch it if you really want?….." She said in a somewhat sheepish manner, her eyes glistening somewhat in the sunlight and hair decently combed despite the lack of a nearby bathroom with a mirror, the hall stand was now her recent new fried ever since staying at the castle it seemed.​

As Vienna was walking, she looked down at her wrist and saw that one of her bracelets was missing. It was extremely special to her and meant a lot to her because her mother had given it to her when she was little for her birthday. She quickly turned back and began to run towards the castle, she snuck back in through the garden and made her way towards the gazebo. Vienna saw Clotilde and she felt bad that she had left early so she walked over to her, and when she walked, she felt like she stepped on something underneath her foot. When she stopped she looked down and saw that it was her bracelet. She picked it up and put it on her wrist, but this time she secured it tightly. Vienna walked up to Clotilde, "Excuse me if I had left early." Vienna said. Vienna had heard them mentioning a party, "So I overheard that you are holding an event? Is it a birthday party?" Vienna asked.

Clotilde had not been expecting Vienna to come back. As she heard Vienna speak, Clotilde turned to look at her. Clotilde smiled as Vienna had asked her about the party.

"The king put me in charge of planning a ball," said Clotilde. "It is for him and myself, as well as to lighten things up around here. It's sorely needed."

Vienna was surprised they were having a ball, she had never been to a ball of any sorts, but she knew it would probably be for the upper class and not the lower class such as herself. Vienna smiled, "...is the ball just a celebration for something or did you two just decide to have one?" She asked her as Vienna crossed her leg.

Avlina smiled at Ezekiel and tilted her head curiously. It was odd seeing him act so freely with others. "Did you fall asleep reading again, Ezekiel?" She asked, before turning towards Taruka and eyeing the belly that everyone seemed worried about. "It must be amazing to carry another life inside you. Knowing one day you'll get to hold the child you've cared for over the past few months." She stated quietly, the idea of pregnancy fascinating her. I may not be allowed to marry for love.. But maybe someday I'll at least get to experience the love between mother and child again.. She thought sadly, her eyes turning dark as she thought of her mother once more.

"To celebrate us," said Clotilde, beaming happily. She was very excited for tonight, and she loved that Daniel had allowed her to plan such a large and grand celebration. "I am his mistress, and he put me in charge of the whole thing. It was so sweet of him."

Vienna didn't really understand the role of a mistress, why couldn't someone just marry the person they love? Why stay 'just friends?' She thought to herself and also Vienna didn't understand how Clotilde could throw the word, 'mistress,' around like that. But Vienna didn't want to judge her since Clotilde at least had someone to call her own Vienna was all alone. "Oh, I am very happy for you and the king." She said with a genuine smile. "When is the celebration?" She asked.

"Tonight," said Clotilde excitedly. She wished that she could be more than his mistress. She really did not want to just stay his mistress. She would have much preferred to be his wife. But she knew that she would never be able to be. She had money, but she could not offer any sort of political alliances. "I've been rather busy this morning, and even late last night planning it."

"Oh, well...if you ever need help in seeking out decorations I'd be more than happy to help you." She said to Clotilde. Vienna had a full garden of different variety of flowers that were very exotic and unique. She was the reason why the forest was flourishing more than the town was. Vienna enjoyed planting, it was a great hobby of hers when she came to settle down. Vienna found great pleasure in attending to the plants and creatures of the forest, she didn't mind it at all. "I hope you have a grand time tonight then," she tells Clotilde as Vienna twisted the bracelet on her wrist around slowly.

Drogo was escorted by the guards to what appeared to be a study unsure he turned to ask the guards but they seemed to have already departed. Sighing he turned to enter when he was suddenly jabbed on the shoulder by a female who had an expression so sinister it would frighten any soul. She didn't bother to apologize and merely kept walking looking like she owned the place with staus to back her up if she ever made a mistake. His right-hand man gasped, "Why I never. That woman has no manners...none at all."
Drogo motioned for his guards to stay while he walked in noticing the only figure in the room bowing his head slightly he spoke, "You're highness."

Getting his attention Drogo introduced himself, "I'm the heir of Versailles, Drogo. I am here to speak in terms of our arrangement."

She began to think of her old days and how the person who took her 'under his wing,' taught her all about fighting and different types of poison. When Vienna was younger, she was played into doing all of her 'owners,' dirty work which was to kill. Basically, when she was working for this person, he used to scare her and his motto was you either kill or you be killed by him. He manipulated her and taught her all of the flowers. But mostly on how to make poisons out of flower for the people who were on her hit list. Vienna never grew up in violence, but when the kingdom she knew, burned to ashes and the people in it, she was left in the cold world all by herself.

Ezekiel grins and touches Taruka's stomach gently with his hand and waited for something to happen. Mai watched and chuckles. Seeing Ezekiel curious about something like this was nice. He waited for another minute and moved his name a bit until he felt a something and grins. "Ooh, this is amazing." he smiled. "Now I'm getting more excited to see your child, haha I'll be like his uncle." he grins and takes his hands off. He was genuinely happy with kids, and he looks out for them. And sometimes at work back at Ivrazia, he would sometimes play with the kids there, despite him looking like a knight there. He was well liked back there at Ivrazia.

He turned to look at Avlina and said "Yeah, I guess I slept again, haha, usually you would wake me up or take the book from me when you see me like that." he said and remembered something. "Oh yeah, speaking of reading, look what I bought from a small bookstore down at the town's market." He opened his bag and it was filled with books he bought. "I think I need to make another bookshelf in my room." he said while showing the books to the others. "Oh wow, that so many books you bought." Mai looks at his bag and took one to look at it. She did remembered that he loved reading books back then when he was a kid.

"Well, that is a very kind thing of you to offer," said Clotilde. Clotilde decided that she had to invite Vienna to the ball tonight. She liked her, and she didn't have many friends, considering that many people at court saw her as a whore who simply wanted to use the king for power, which could not have been farther from the truth.No matter what people said, she really did love Daniel. "And, I would be happy to have you as a guest tonight, if you would like."

Vienna felt excited, on the inside she was ecstatic about being invited to a ball. This has never happened to her where she was invited to places since most feared her or didn't talk to her because of the rumours. Vienna was grateful for Clotilde's kindness, "It is very nice of you to invited someone like me to a fancy ball. I would be more than happy to attend," Vienna said. On the other hand, she might be judged by those there at the party since her attire is much different than those in Keshland. Since Vienna came from afar and forgotten land of riches, the kingdom was flourishing and the culture was rich and thriving. There were dresses of many sorts and colours. Vienna managed to recreate most of the dresses from her hometown which was nice.

"Perhaps I can help with a dress," said Clotilde. She had plenty of dresses, she could spare one. She hadn't realized how desperate she was for a friend or, at least an ally, until she had began talking to Vienna. She really did hope that she could perhaps find a friend in Vienna. "There may be some alterations that may be needed, but I am sure that we can find something. Unless you have something, of course."

"All the dresses that I have are not quite Keshland worthy," Vienna said as she let out a soft chuckle. Back in her hometown, women would dress a bit less modest because her town was a town of dancing, celebrations and much more and plus it was a warm place. Vienna hopes that one day she can revive what was once turned to ashes. Vienna looked to Clotilde, "What do people wear to balls?" She asked as she became curious. Vienna hadn't really caught up to the Keshland style of fashion yet.

"The most beautiful and expensive ball gowns," said Clotilde smiling brightly. With a light laugh, she added, "I do, at least. You are not from Keshland, are you?"

"No, I am not." Vienna said softly as she brushed her hair behind her ear. Vienna waited for Clotilde to respond back and she knew that Clotilde would ask her where so she would prepare her answer for her.
