Realistic or Modern The King of Keshland

Clotilde beamed excitedly as Mai gave her approval at her floral arrangements.

"Well, then Princess, I will be back in a few minutes," said Clotilde, still with a beaming smile. She walked off to find some servants. When she found them, she intructed them on why flowers to use and how to arrange them. Once she was done, she walked back to the gazebo. Mai was still there, as was Daniel and another woman she did not recognize. She wondered who she was, Clotilde could not recall seeing her everywhere. Clotilde walked over to the group. She curtsied as she reached them. As she rose, she said a cheerful, "Hello!"

She looked to the girl she did not recognize.

"And who are you?" Clotilde still sounded cheerful. She was sure that nothing could bring her down today.

Daniel looked at Vienna "Marrying for love is something we don't have the luxury of doing our nation comes first." Daniel drunk some of his tea then looked off into space for a moment when Clotilde came over "This a friend of mine Vienna she came to admire the garden." Daniel was still thinking about what Vienna said: "Mai if you don't love Charles we can discuss other options." Daniel looked very relax just like when he was younger and carefree.

Mai shakes her head and said "No!" she stands up as she said. "I mean... no, I'm fine with my engagement with Prince Charles, really." she said and looked at both Vienna and Daniel. "As I said, I still don't know what my feelings towards him but I'm sure its good feelings... I just can't describe it yet... so... no need for discussion." she replied back. The thought of Prince Charles marrying some other woman, it made her sick from thinking of it.

"I understand, but I do wish for people to be happy in their love life." She told the King. She really did hope that she didn't offend him, and especially the princess since Vienna saw how quick she was to react. "It's a pleasure to meet you," Vienna said sweetly. Vienna made friends more easily than she did in the kingdom. Vienna turned back to Mai, "I apologize for getting you upset Princess Mai," Vienna took another sip before putting down her cup down and resting her hand on her lap. Vienna was sweet and she really meant well. Vienna took a second look at Clotilde, she was very pretty and seemed quite friendly.

Mai goes back to sit and faced Vienna. "I'm fine, no need for apologies. You're also right about marrying someone you love. I understand that..." it was clear she thinking about something else. About how people will see her married with Prince Charles without love. She was happy with how he encouraged her that one time but thinking about it now, she was also scared of marriage. She doesn't know why as she looks at her brother, seeing that he was in love with Clotlide and they clearly have mutual feelings for each other, so she was happy for him. "I-I'm sorry... I need to go, I'll be excusing myself now, enjoy the food." she tries to smile and stands up and leaves the gazebo and walks over to the stables and gets one of the horses. She puts a saddle on the horse and rides on top it and starts to go somewhere else.

Meadows
ef-paradise-desktop-background.jpg
Mai arrived at the Meadows, she was far enough from the palace but she can still see the sight of the town. She stops and gets off the horse and lets it rest on ground. "Thank you..." she smiled at the horse as it neighs happily to her before she gave him a treat. She sat down on the grass and sighed before she leaned on her (horse), and closes her eyes. "I need to think this through first...." she said to herself, wanting some piece. "Looks like I just escaped again... haha." immediate regret and she shouted "What is wrong with me!!" she shouted to the mountains from afar.

Drogo Versailles
"How dare you! Do you know who we are?! I command to see the king-" the small man yelled at the Keshland guards but was quickly knocked out by the towering figure behind him. The man known as groof quickly got up turning to face the man who had supposedly hit him with a blade, "Who dares hit-" noticing who the man was groof slowly shrunk. "Ah you're highness...hehe funny story-ahh" the man was once again pushed by Drogo who was now facing the guards. "I'm a guest of the King. If you will not allow us to enter then inform the king of my presence."

Groof suddenly pounced up, "You're highness you can't wait here this is an insult we will have you're head-" Drogo smacked his servant shutting him up.

A guard escorted them to the garden "The king is right over there." The guard bowed "Sorry about all the confusion."

Daniel clears his throat and tries to break the tension "Vienna tell me about yourself?" Daniel continued to eat his breakfast as he watched the guards bring talk to someone. He wasn't saving two people in one day so he didn't pay it any attention. Charles walked out to the garden "Have any of you seen my fiance?" Daniel smiled "That maniac rode off somewhere." Charles nodded and sat down "Yum breakfast..." Charles looked up at Vienna "Daniel you lucky man." Daniel punched Charles "She's a friend." Charles started to choke when he noticed Clotilde "How's the party planning?"

Vienna watched as Mai excused herself and she felt that she had upset the princess somehow. Vienna made it her goal to apologize for upsetting Mai. Vienna had already eaten at home, and besides, she didn't have the appetite to eat since she didn't eat meat. Vienna was a lover of animals and all things nature, so she didn't find joy in eating a creature that deserved to live. "Well... there is not much to say. I have been on my own since the age of five..." She said as she slowly stopped talking and thought about how her parents were brutally murdered in a massacre. "...It has been quiet, but being alone gives me time to think and focus on my practice. Plus I have nature, which is nice." She tells him as she picks up the conversation from where she left it for a brief moment. Vienna heard footsteps and when she saw, it was a man. He looked pretty young, his attire revealed that he was of high status. When Daniel mentioned the man's name, she found out that it was Charles. Mai leaves before her suitor could even see her, how sad. Vienna was a bit stunned at the comment, "I can assure you that we are mere friends." She said as she flashed a smile to Charles and Daniel. Vienna didn't look at Clotilde.

"The party planning is going wonderfully!" Clotilde exclaimed, with a beaming smile. "I just created the most lovely floral arrangements." Clotilde looked to Daniel. "It was so nice of you to put me in charge of a party. I assure you, you will not be disappointed."

The nobleman from Zima, Known as Atticus Auden, could be found walking through the streets of Keshland, as he searched for any store that had anything that be could buy. He had always been someone who liked to buy antiques, mostly because he had never really wanted to run the same business as his parents. Now that he though about it, this was the first time that he had been at Keshland, and so far he really wasn't liking the weather. He had been raised on a kingdom where it was cold every day, so he really wasn't liking the cold weather at all. Maybe if he kept on walking he could either find some antique or hire someone to show him around, which so far was somewhat unlikely for now, since he wasn't sure where he could find someone.

Mai was still at the Meadows and watches the the town from afar. She could hear the music that was playing at the Town's Market. It seems supplies are being delivered safely over there. She smiled as she listened to the music. 'I acted so stupid back there at the garden... I'm sure they think I'm some immature brat now...' she thought and kept on worrying about the small little talk they had about marriage. She remembers her mother saying that she was also forced to marry their father when she was young. It was only for appearance sake. "Will I have to be like that as well? I mean I like Charles but I'm still not sure if it's love or not... I still need time to think things through..." she mumbles to herself while learning on her horse. Mai stands up and stretches her arms up and said "Mai. Mai! Come on, you're a big girl now, you need to focus." she told herself and tries to motivate herself.

Daniel smiled "I knew you would be good at it." Charles looked at Vienna "Married?" He said with a smirk "Your head would like nice in my study." Daniel said laughing. Charles laughed "A joke I know somewhere deep down Mai has your temper." Daniel laughed "Mai is like the moon beautiful, stunning, smart but, she doesn't have a mean bone in her body that why I want this marriage if anything happens to me she will be next in line for the throne and I need someone there for her." Charles smiled "To make sure she rules properly?" Daniel sighed "No, Charles to protect her from all those sleazy men who could try and take her head." Charles nodded "Daniel I will take care of her trust me speaking of that I wanted to talk about our contract." Daniel looked at Charles "Later." Daniel looked a Vienna "I've felt like I was alone since age seven people assume since we live in the palace we don't have problems or feel anything."

Vienna smiled when they were talking amongst themselves, she also let out a soft chuckle when they both began to joke around each other. Seems like the two of them are very close to each other. When Daniel paid his attention to Vienna, she looked his way, never losing eye contact with him. "I know it might be rude of me to say, but you always had people around you..." She said before the smile that she once had on her face dial down. "...I for one, did not have people around me. Do not blame me, but you cannot really be alone if you have had help your whole entire life." Vienna said, never raising her voice. Her voice, when speaking, never was loud. She had a very calm and soothing voice when talking. Vienna began to think of the lonely nights that she has had growing up, especially in the woods. Vienna had built herself a house which took a couple of years to do since it was just her working on it.

Charles looked at Daniel then stood "I'll be excusing myself." he hurried and walked away.Daniel looked Vienna in her eyes "You're not different... Just like everyone else." Daniel stood "Thanks for seeming like you were different but I guess every illusion has to come to an end." he said gave the smile that he had his whole life "I'll be in my study." Daniel started to walk towards the castle

Clotilde felt sad for Daniel, speaking as he felt that he had always been alone. She loved him dearly and wanted to help in any way that she could. Of course, she couldn't imagine what pressure he was under being king. Once he was gone, Clotilde looked at Vienna.

"So, how do you know Daniel?" Clotilde asked.

"Once you voice your own opinions, they leave...never again," Vienna said, loud enough for Daniel and those around him to hear. Vienna got up as well as she clenched her fist together. "No disrespect, but I believe you should ask Lord Daniel," Vienna told her politely as she bowed her head and turned away from Clotilde when she sat down. "I should have never met him..." she muttered, Maybe...I am just better off not meeting people. She told herself, Vienna remained strong. She got up from her seat once more and thanked Clotilde for allowing her to have breakfast with them and Vienna excused herself. Vienna made her way out from where she came from and she began walking into the woods...where she had come from. "This is why I am better off alone and away from people, as soon as you state your own opinion, they begin to act a certain way towards you." She tells herself as she passed by trees and trees and trees, all looking the same.

"I am not just some illusion he thinks that he can just wipe away, I am human too." She muttered as a sigh followed.

"You want to go to town, Shadowmere?" Avlina asked after riding for a while. "Come on boy." She turned the stallion around and flicked the reins, racing across the open land towards the castle and nearby town. As she crossed the meadows between castle and town, Avlina spotted the princess she'd seen talking to the Queen at the party. "Woah boy, woah." She pulls up on the reins, bringing Shadowmere to a halt near the princess. Sliding off his back, she curstsies slightly and smiles at the girl. "Your highness," she inclines her head respectfully. "It's a beautiful day out."

Mai turns to see Princess Avlina. She saw her at the party last time and it looked like she was pretty used to party like those. And then she looks at her horse. "Hello there." she smiled and bows as a greeting before saying "Princess Avlina, am I correct?" she looks around, wondering why there are no guards who were with her. "I haven't really had a chance to talk with you last time." she sat back down on the grass and leans back on her resting horse. "Wanna have a little chat with me?" she smiled at the princess.

Taruka had been well- passed out since the early hours of last night, between the chaos with the kings seemingly crazy fit, her old friends return, the drunk princess and the crying Mioko she'd just about used up her energy for the next week. Finally getting up with a reluctant sigh she stretched a little, at least her bag was feeling better today, dusting off her dress she got out from the small space under the floor, clambering up the stairs and into the main section of the building, beginning to wander here and there doing different chores and checking on people as she was meant to, finally she was inquired to check on the whereabouts of princess Man and Avlina, a task she would've been more than happy to complete if it weren't for the fact they weren't anywhere in the castle, and that meant searching outside, a reluctant sigh left her mouth with her awkward yet kindhearted smile as she began to check the ground, eventually spotting the two -thankfully together- and walking over slowly, panting a little and face slightly flustered as she arrived, awkwardly laughing as she somewhat tried to hide the bulge of her stomach once again, she knew she was just going to have to accept it but it wasn't exactly something she ws willing to do so quickly, "T-There you are I've been looking everywhere~…." She mumbled with a light hearted chuckle.

"Hm?" she turns to see another girl come over, and it was Taruka. She always sees her with Ezekiel when they were kids. She would see her happily smiling around the guy back then too. She's had a few encounters with Ezekiel when she was young as well, she always wondered what goes into his mind. Even though he was mysterious, he was still kind and caring to her back then. She noticed she was hiding her stomach and realized she was pregnant. 'Oh my...' she thought and was a bit taken aback after seeing her state. "Oh my, come over and take a rest here. You must be tired." she said and lets the poor girl sit beside her. She was sweating and her skin was pale. Even though she looked exhausted, she still looked pretty. "What's the matter Taruka? Is there something urgent?" she asked her and even lent her her handkerchief. "Here, wipe your sweat with this." she smiled, but was worried.

Taruka smiled cheerfully at the princess as she replied, the quite- obvious staring at her stomach made her flustered pink cheeks turn a shade darker as she attempted to look away before it was offered she take a rest beside the female, on any normal day she would've politely declined, it was unthinkable with the difference in status but today, well whatever. Coming over she slowly took a seat beside her, shaking her head at the question of urgency, "N-No! Not at all it's just you've been out for a while so I was asked to go check on you and the other princess, I've been working for quite a while but I suppose I didn't sleep in so I've been having to make up~" She chuckled with an innocent giggle, stretching her back a little once again, declining the handkerchief quickly in an awkward manner, "I-I couldn't!" She replied, moving her hands quickly to signal a no in response though thankful for the offer, she let a small sigh escape her lips, "I'm surprised you haven't noticed till now though princess" She continued with a curious gaze, "Though then again I mainly serve under daniel and your younger brothers command, well- mainly the kings since it was his cousin-…. I mean! anyway I should be thankful I'm not a complete giant seven months in~" She giggled.

Daniel entered the palace and walked into his Mom “Daniel” she said with a sad expression on her face “Yes,mother.” Daniel didn't make eye contact he just looked at the floor “I’m sorry Daniel but it was ten years ago let it go.” Daniel looked at her with a sad expression “You want me to just let my father go...” Daniels voice started to crack “After he died you saw me as nothing but an heir... But flaunted your love of my siblings all around the kingdom I... I couldn't leave my room because you assumed I would catch a cold die and since you didn’t want Mai at the throne you treated me like our crowns put up until someone of importance needs to see and you took my father away from me ... The only person who ever loved us all equally” the queen hugged Daniel “Being angry wont bring him back.” Daniel slapped her arms away “I know.. but knowing one day I will have your head helps me sleep a little better at night.” Daniel turned his back to his mother and she made an facial expression that screamed if I could stab you I would. “If anything happens to me I will make sure Charles and Mai have your head. I wrote down everything you did.” The queen stormed off in search of this letter and Daniel went to see the doctor about a dream he had.

Avlina smiled at princess Mai and nodded, "Yes, that's correct and I'd love to." She said as she led Shadowmere over to rest beside the other horse. She turned at the arrival of another girl, her smile brightening as she recognized the maid from the night before. "Hello again, I hope I didn't embarrass myself too much last night." She greeted the girl as she took a seat on the other side of Mai. Leaning against Shadowmere, she listed to the princess and maid talk. I wonder what Ezekiel was like back then.. she thought, relaxing as she was content to listen to the girls talk rather than participating in sociatal niceties.

Mai sighed in relief when it wasn't anything urgent and smiles at Taruka. She puts her handkerchief back listened to the servant before she said "Hahaha, please do continue to look out for them, even though they act like that, they still need someone to look out for them." she giggles. "Oh but excuse me for saying this, but I have to let you know that you need to take a break if it's getting hard on you, seeing how you are right now." she didn't mean it in a rude way, she was just concerned about Taruka. "I worry about your health and for your child. It's important to look out for yourself since you now have another life inside you to take care of." she smiles and looks down at her stomach. "A mother should look out for her child, love and nurture them with great care." she remembers the times when her mother would show that to her and other siblings. But she would only do it in front of other people. But in truth, she would just use them like a decoration, all the motherly actions was just an act.
