Hey All,


Due to popular demand and since we did say we would keep an open mind about doing a part 2 in the summer for all the users who still want a chance at getting their ribbon and key, we've decided to do a part 2 before we put away The Keys to The Nation event(next year we will ahve different icons and rewards). We raised 1000+ in december, lets see if we can match the goal and just n0t have another one of these events until summer of 2016.


Here are the details:


Supporter Status

Supporter Status for 2015 can only be received during this Fundraiser as a gift for assisting RpNation. Supporter is purchased per month and once purchased the user will receive a golden username and a golden ribbon that states “Supporters” for as many months as they purchased.


Already have a Supporter Ribbon? - Users that already possess a Supporter Ribbon (following the old method of Donations) can still donate any amount they desire. Any gifted month of Supporter Status you receive because of your donations will be added to your current Supporter Status (so if you were expected to expire in two months and you buy five months, you get seven months of supporter)


Medals

Users who donate over 15.00 dollars in the 2015 Site Fundraising will also receive a Medal that will be added to their account. These medals will be shown on your posts for so many months (depending on the medal level).


Basic Level Donation

$10.00 2 Month


Bronze Level Donations


Receive Bronze Medal - Shown in user’s post information (underneath the user’s avatars) for 3 months.

For anyone who donates at the minimum silver key level or higher @Mordecai will create a 200x200 avatar for you.


She will draw for you anything, anime, animals, fantasy, what ever you'd like. You can check out her fantastic art thread -here- and as well see her four latest avatars down below.

FAQ:

​



  • You can see the keys in action under my avatar. Of course all icons are subject to change at any time and these may not be the final design.
  • If you don't want to donate via paypal we do have a Google Wallet, but you'd have to send @The Dark Wizard a private message for that.
  • Yes gold and supporter will only be able to be acquired during fundraiser events like this yearly.
  • If you have neither a paypal account or a google wallet, you can technically check out as a guest on our paypal by not signing up for their service. Contact The Administration if you require further assistance.
  • Gold Usernames, Gold Supporter Ribbons and Keys will be processed manually by the administration throughout the event and at the end. There is no automated process so please do not contact us directly to speed us up.
  • @Mordecai will reach out to you sometime after your donation to ask what you'd like in an avatar.
    The fundraiser will last through 00:01 on September 1st, 2015


Anonymous User + Gifting Policy:

  • Users are welcomed to donate anonymously if they wish and you are welcomed to give away your donation perks (goldname/ribbon/key/avatar by Mordecai). To do this simply open up a private conversation with @The Dark Wizard.

Just for any one curious:


We spend 50/mo on servers at Linode.com for a total of 600 yearly. Because we actually know how to server at RpN. Thank you based @Ghan for 8 years of service.


We also spend a bit on domain renewels every year(I'll get the exact numbers soon).


We also spend 80 every year on the core xenforo license which powers our forum software, and while I'm still working on the calculations, quite a bit on addon renewals for important functionality for the site that we've all grown accustomed to.


Anything extra will be of course applied to future bills and extra funcitonality on the site and hiring professional coders to craft/fix functionality.
 
I can't seem to see an obvious donate link unless that first link in the faqs post is it. Although it seems more like an alternative way.


Bare in mind I just woke up I may be slightly blind.

I don't intend to donate right now as I have no method to but I do intend to this time around. Just pointing that out so this seeking to donate now aren't confuzzled.


And holy hell your avatar is awesome.

No, you can check out as a guest on paypal screen with out making an account by just using your payment method.


We also got a google wallet, but you'd need to send me a PM for that one.
 
Usually I'd at least consider donating (I'd love a wittle wolf awy like that last fox pic), but bad timing, RPN! The Steam Summer Sale just took place and I am about 60 EUR down the drain :C *woof*
 
So glad to see the donation button has return I missed this back in the olden days.


Thanks again to all you who do so much behind the scenes, I know how pains taking it can be to get code and all the bells/whistles to work so kudos to you!


Though I still expect a Wizard Duel to occur someday Dark! ^_^

Where did you get my picture off the internet!?! D: I was so careful with my Facebook privacy settings!
 
Considering how much it costs to keep RPNation up annually, I'm surprised we have never had to go through third-party advertising to get the site bills paid.


People should be grateful for that, too. Imagine ads on RPNation. On second thought, don't.


Or maybe we do and Adblock just gets rid of it all. I haven't turned off AB in like 5+ years.
 
I didn't think so, but I wasn't sure. Most sites that I go to that run off of advertising have this huge banner that says "please don't use Adblock because the advertising pays to keep us open," which I have never, ever seen on RPNation or any version of the site before it.
