Fantasy The Journey

Vengeance Spirit

Seeker of Justice
c6hwNnB.png

Journey centers around a fantasy world known as Bellial where several characters are faced with adapting to their ever-changing environments.

Characters
The world of Bellial is immense. The story cannot be simply told by one character. For this reason, several characters will be used to narrate this story. As the readers, you will take place of these characters. Control their actions and minds. You will become one with the characters in the story. Actions of one character will affect the other. Deep thought must be held before each decision

Choices
Choices made will change your characters permanently. There will never be an opportunity to undo a choice. These choices will shape future choices. A character who is chaotic evil will have different opportunities than one who is lawfully good. Choices will also affect relationships you have with others across the realm. When the chapter ends, the full story will be placed under the story tab.

Voting
Voting will now occur in the vote now thread. The system of voting will be based on how many people participate. In the start I will just respond based on how I feel the number has shifted. In the future I will stabilize and begin posting on certain days. But as of now, I am unable to tell if this will flop or not.

Stats
Stats will determine the probability of a certain decision going through. A seduction decision needs a high amount of charisma while a scholar might need a high intellect to decipher a scroll. Stats will affect how rapidly certain skills are learned. Stats can never be maxed.

Skills
Most characters will only start with one or two skills. Decisions will create skills. Unlike stats, skills can be maxed out. At max, a character will gain the next proficiency in the skill. There is a maximum of five proficiency in a majority of skills.

Death
A character's death is not always a bad thing. The right decisions can lead to a satisfying death. This death can enable other things in the story for other characters. Every death will be able to have a final thought or final word decision.

Thank all of you for making this possible. The next chapter will begin shortly. A new character will be here

The next chapter will focus on a gladiator. Everything about Eyette will be moved to the story-only thread and deleted from the main one

A gladiator has only one master, the arena. You are entertainers who perform art through combat. Your blade is your brush, the arena is your canvas and your opponent's blood is the paint. This little mantra has led you to victory. You are the strongest gladiator in Akantia, a city of the Unforged Kingdoms. Your blade has worked well to carve this title over the course of three years. You didn't always have this form of skill. You came from a penniless family. A group of bandits living in the slums. Your father was a crook, your grandfather an even worse one. You didn't like this lifestyle. It made you stronger, but you wanted fair battles. Bandits did not fight fair. You loved the thrill of the clashing blades. The look in the eyes of a warrior. You needed to feed this addiction to the blade. And you did. Joining the arena was the greatest decision in your life. Today is your last battle in Akantia. You have defeated all of the high ranking gladiators except one. His name is Sathem. You do not know much about him. But in these next few moments, you will see his entire life.

You never had a real objective in mind. You live day to day just to fight. You care not about the dangers. Your body is well-scarred and bruised from all the battles. You are confident you will win today. But the question is, who will you win for?

1: Yourself

2: Your gorgeous lover, Alisa, the archer (Female)

3: Your handsome lover, Lontor, the blacksmith (Male)

4: Your mother

5: The arena

You dedicate your future victory to the arena. You are a gladiator after all! Combat is in your soul. The arena allows you to feed your never-ending blood lust. The roar of the arena cannot be matched by any lover. There is no time for relationships when the arena calls you. The feel of it all. The sand beneath your feet, the crowd screaming, and most of all the clashing of iron. The sparks that fly when two blades collide. The eye contact made. The peering into the soul of your enemy. Combat is the niche of man. He is made to fight! There is no time for the other F when there are battles to be made. You take a good look at the room around you. You are behind large iron bars in an under-lit room. A room that you were afraid of when you first began. But here you are, a master of the wait. The crowd is cheering. The king is announcing the event. After a long speech, you finally hear the king say "Grimm the Immortal! The harbinger of death! The man who paints with blood!"

You begin walking as he continues your various titles. You enjoy them. You earned them in action. The crowd goes crazy. You take a good look around yourself. You are wearing a typical gladiator outfit, an adequate amount of cloth around your necessities, a leather satchel striking a cross on your chest, and a large belt. Your body is shown to strike fear into your enemies. In your hand is your blade, a simple iron long sword. You feel empowered. The king finally finishes his speaking, he pauses and then states "Now for his opponent. Sathem. The strong. The boulder lifter!" Sathem walks out. The crowd does not cheer as loudly. They have yet to find their love for this man. Yours has taken some time to develop. He is larger than you, and has dieseled muscles and a chiseled face. The king puts his hand up and then yells "Let the festivities commence". He takes his seat. You and your opponent are circling each other.

1: Make the first move and use your dexterity. Dodge under him and try to slash his legs to weaken him.

2: Make the first move and turn ballistic. Use your strength and superior blade ability to slash his core.

3: Wait for him to make the first move and counter it with your reflexes. Make the move to try and destroy his extremities

DECISION 3 HAS BEEN CHOSEN

I will always leave combat posts smaller to allow there to be more decisions in the battle.

Intellect increases by 1

The circling continues. You decide it best to wait for him to make a move. You know your superior reflexes and quick thinking will grant you the ability to defeat him. You make every step to stay directly parallel to him. Not too close and not too far. Both options would give him the advantage. Your feet slide across the sand while your arms stay in perfect alignment with them. You meet the eyes of Sathem. You can tell he is drawing tired of this dancing game. The crowd is still cheering. You have yet to lose their admiration. You give him a dastardly smirk. He isn't smart enough to understand the mind game. You see his eyebrows twitching and his hands grasping his blade harder. You can see he is ready to make his move. You take a deep breath. Time slows down. As you suspected, he takes his blade and makes a large step forward while slashing his blade towards your core. You notice the step is unbalanced. You parry his slash attempt while you utilize your leg to side kick Sathem's unbalanced leg. His foot is rendered powerless as he topples backward. He stumbles. Your mind slows down time even more. You have a choice to make on your next move.

1: Take the advantage of his stumbling and kick him down

2: He is a large man, you should use your blade to cut off his weapon-wielding hand

3: Use the momentum of the parry to toss his blade asunder

4: Utilize your inner rage and allow the blood lust to take its turn

5: Write-in
