Not doing anything major, just giving them a few lines or two - instead of feeling it being only a handful of nations, debating about a world crisis.

Sorry for not giving a post. Real life and Terraria consumed me for the past days. I see a nuclear spill is happening, but how is everyone reacting and such. Matilda will just be quietly worrying and S.A panicking, so... what is everyone doing.

As to what's going on, I'm not really 100% sure. Russia had a spill, I decided that we didn't need a full blown war two pages into the thread so it was declared an accident, I think Spain was hurt or something close by, and Antarctica is about to try and explain some things with made up science (the best kind)

Hey, are you guys still accepting? If so, I have a question. I know you said preferably only countries and states/provinces, but would I be allowed to create a geographical region? I was thinking of Kurdistan (I'm a Kurd myself so ahahahah how typical of me to want to bring it into here). It's one of the biggest nations without an actual country. If you'd rather I narrow it down to Basure Kurdistan, which is considered the official region of Kurdistan since it's the only autonomous region (otherwise known as Iraqi-Kurdistan or Heremi Kurdistan, which also just so happens to be the region I'm from), I can do that as well. If not, I'll take either Nunavut, Israel, Quebec, or Afghanistan.


Also, I see there's a Turkey in here. This can only mean good times ahead considering how friendly Kurdistan and them are with each other *cough* sarcasm *cough*.

Its gonna be so good Evet(yes)? I can see the constant fighting even now...but to clarify the issue The Autonomus Region in North-Iraq is recognized by Turkey (even though they are affiliated with PKK) and by no means do I want to to start another Socio-Idological and Racial war on the Internet so lets keep the more extreme things out of the Rp please.(Such as PKK...I dont really wanna deal with that here...)

Evet (or as we say in Kurdish, and Farsi for that matter, though they say this word with a different accent, Baleh), it'll be great. They'll constantly be fighting and it'll be terrible. And by terrible I mean great, of course, because, well, it's quite different when they're characters and all. In real life, the fighting between Turkey and Kurdistan is...Not so great, and for both parties involved.


And yeah, no worries, I'll be keeping the more extreme things out of the RP, just as Hetalia itself has done and what I would do had I picked any other country and RPed between another country and/or region with these kind of problems. I have my own feelings regarding PKK and Turkey but I'm not going to bring that in either here or in the RP, no worries. I don't want to start a racial war on the internet either. We have enough of those going on in and out of the internet without having to bring one here, so no worries. ' w '

Great to hear that (^U^) it would really be a waste of time to go into a 'war' like that (and trust me I have been in many flame wars -Spoiler:it sucks- and I agree its gonna be really great having these two argue,bicker and fight all the time,I am also interested about your characters backstory.(will it date back to 1970? 2005? or All the way back to Ottomans-Seljuks-Abbasids etc) cant wait to start the rp with ya!(although I must admit My first thought when I saw your post was like this ( ") 'Great now a fight is gonna start I guess (>n>)' since thats what happens generally,so thanks I guess,for being Understanding.)

I've been in my fair share of flame wars myself, and I must agree. It does suck, and in the end it only really leaves you feeling frustrated and drained regardless of which stance you take, because 95% of the time, neither end is really ever going to make a compromise. As such I try to avoid starting them or joining them, even if it's hard sometimes because of emotional investment and whatnot.


And yeah, characters in general who argue and bicker all the time are great, and this'll be particularly fun since their animosity is so deeply rooted.


As for the history, I still haven't decided. I'm thinking of going way back but the problem is how far back since the origins of the Kurds are kind of debated (though it's commonly believed Kurds have been descended from the Medes) but I'm not sure yet. I might take a more modern approach but probably not as early as 2005. 1970 would be a far more likely age to start if I do go with a more modern start. *Shrug* And thanks!


And honestly, I had the same fears as well. I went through your profile (sorry if that sounds creepy, I tend to check the profiles of people in an RP I'm interested in ^ ^") and realised that you picking Turkey wasn't a coincidence and was like 'Oh well oops, revealing that I was Kurdish prooooooooooooobably wasn't the best idea...' And I was awaiting either the flame wars or racist comments since that's what usually happens, but I haven't gotten either, so I must also thank you for being so understanding.
