Realistic or Modern The House on The Hill IC

Kai went from tired and grouchy to happy and smiling instantly. Teddy was adorable and was a good guy. Kai loved him and could trust him better than anyone else in the House. They were close and he was happy that they were.
"Decent," Kai said, "It's just the fact I hate waking up this early." Foxes love the night time and hate mornings and it was same for Kai. "But the sad stuff isn't interesting. How's your morning?"
"Sleepy. Do you like my new sweater? I just bought it yesterday and thought it would look super cute today." Teddy said, his mood improving by the second. He flaunted off his new purple sweater by making various exaggerated and dramatic poses.

He smiled and laughed at his innocence. It was cute and he loved it. "You look good in anything you wear, Teddy," he complimented and continued to eat. "You're lucky you can pull so many outfits off."

Alex walks into the house, setting his duffel bag on the floor next to the door. Looking around, he walks into the kitchen to find the caretaker and other residents of the establishment. He beckon's to the caretaker before retreating to the entrance.

Faye looked up from her food, quickly swallowing the pancake she had in her mouth, before standing. She saw Alex, but glanced at Kai and Teddy. "No flirting at the rebel please, there are kids," She said, before hurting off to go see what the new kid wanted. Once she found him, Faye smiled, "Hey, I'm Faye. What do ya need?" "Shuddup, it's pride day today."

"You guys can't go and you know that!" She called, "We've been banned remeber?" Last year got them banned from the little pride festival Northbrook held. She's not exactly sure how, just that Teddy and Kai were responsible. With that said, she then answered Alex. "Of course! You can go pick one of the rooms, then put your name on the price of white board on the door." Plague Shaman Plague Shaman Safety Hammer Safety Hammer

"Alright then. I will be be back in a minute for food, if that's fine."
He picks up his bag and finds an empty room. He drops his bags on the bed and writes his name on the door.
' Alexander '
He walks back into the dining room, and sits down next to the guy talking with Faye.

Teddy pouted and crossed his arms grumpily. "It's not fair! The mayor finds out that people like us are going, and then has the balls to say that we can't go because it would be a danger to everyone else?! Sure I slept with his son, and yes, he had a girlfriend and I seduced him with my powers, but it's still not fair that I can't go to my own festival!" Teddy angrily shouted, clearly still a bit peeved about the subject.

Jade had been attempting to stay quiet off in the hallway outside of the kitchen but nearly gave up her position when a stranger walked into the hallway. She gathered that he was someone new and was a little relieved that he overlooked her, if he had greeted her than she would have been found out. Silently giggling at the sound of Teddy and Faye bickering together, she had to put her hand over her mouth to keep from being heard. She waited until the two of them were deep into conversation to walk forward into the entrance of the kitchen from the hallway. Leaning against the wall, she crossed her feet and continued to watch the commotion, wondering how long it would take for anyone to realize that she was back from her trip.

Faye sighed, ribbing her forehead. "This is why we live up here instead of in town." She said, walking back into the dinning room. "Good morning Jade! Welcome back ,come eat breakfast!" She then called to the girl in the hall, before turning back to Teddy. "Well, technically it's because of something I did in elementary school, but what ever. The point is, you chat use your powers on the townsfolk unless it's a dire situation. And no, you being horny is not one of those situations." He sighed. He agreed with both Faye and Teddy. "We should be allowed to go but I get why we're not," he began, "I'm sorry buddy. I know that you'll probably want to sneak off but I'm not going to." He opened out his arms for Teddy to hug him. He knew how upset he was. Pride meant a lot to him.

Mari was sitting quietly at the table eating one blueberry pancake, listening quietly to the conversation. She sighed, feeling bad for the ones who wanted to go. 'I could offer to go with them an keep them in a illusion. Change their looks, that way nobody would know it's them if they use different names...' she thought, she herself wanting to get out of the house. But also because she knew Nate wanted to go.

Nate ate his chocolate chip pancakes quickly, having exhausted himself that morning. He perked up at the mention of pride day, but pouted when Faye said they couldn't go. He looked at the two boys who mentioned going. Silently pleading them to convince Faye. FireMaiden FireMaiden @SafetyHammer MoxxyMoxx MoxxyMoxx

"It's not my fault that he was a closeted gay." Teddy said with a pout.

"But you promised!" Teddy said sadly, looking rather betrayed. He looked over at Faye for answers, but got none. With a sigh, he slouched over his food before his forehead hit the countertop.
"Worst. Day. Everrrr...." He groaned.

"I'm sorry guys, but you brought this on yourselves. You'll just have to stay here. Maybe go swimming. Cause were gonna have our own little pride party here. That's one reason I'm going shopping later," Faye said. "So don't get so bummed Teddy, everything's gonna be fine. And remeber, I know if you'll sneak out cause of finder powers. You're shoes are intimate objects." Safety Hammer Safety Hammer MoxxyMoxx MoxxyMoxx q r o w q r o w

Kai immediately wrapped his arms around Teddy. He hated seeing him sad. It hurt him deeply. Kai wasn't friends with many people but Teddy meant a lot to him as the first person he met at the House. He spoke in a sad tone, "I'm sowwy." He began, "We just caused so much trouble last year. I don't want the humans arresting us or anything." He looked over at Faye with sad puppy dog eyes. He needed to make Teddy happy again and Pride was the way to do it.

Teddy grumbled and hugged his best buddy, before becoming preoccupied with his cute little fox ears. "Thanks, bud bud. I feel a heck of a lot better now." The museum aid as he pet Kai on the head like one would do to a dog.

Kai smiled with his eyes closed and snuggled into Teddy, purring slightly. He liked it when people pet him, especially Teddy. It made him feel more fox-like and it was soothing. He replied, "It's no big deal. I just hate seeing you upset." He didn't stop cuddling Teddy. He was comfortable now and that meant he wouldn't move for a while.

"After breakfast do you wanna go and take a walk? We might be able to play fetch if you're a good boy~" Teddy teased as he scratched the behind the fox-boy's fuzzy ears.

Kai's eyes lit up, "Yes please! But cuddles first." People probably thought that Teddy and Kai were a couple from their touchy-feely relationship. Kai could understand why they thought that but they were just friends, best buddies to be specific. Kai didn't want to date Teddy anyway. If it ended badly he'd lose his best buddy and he never wanted that to happen. Teddy was his best buddy and no one else's.
