During the day the city of Onikatsu is your typical town people go to work, kids go to school and friends play together and have fun. But at night that's when the gangs come out and those who wish to test their strength. At night Onikatsu becomes the Holyland for any who want to be apart of or just see amazing fights. Where the strong rule and the weak don't exist it's a place where people bet on fights, with money, drugs, power, or even people. For those who live, eat, and breath fighting this is their home it's what they live for those people are called Overlords. The various gangs in the area tend to leave them alone since just one Overlord could crush most gangs in the area single handedly. The gangs are the ones who hold most of the underground fight arenas and betting services. From the DevilBats who prefer to hold onto their area and hold annual fight areas they are considered to be the gang with the biggest toughest members. The RedOceans who are an all girl gang that use their "charms" to get other small time gangs to do dirty work for them, they run mostly brothels and other "services." The DivineAngels are the ones who oversee most of the drug dealing that goes on in the Holyland, they are most known for being the brains behind most operations. Finally there are the SilverFangs most notable about them is their boss is an Overlord himself said to be the one who started the Holyland in the first place. Now in this city of fighting, drugs, and gangs can you rise to the top and become an Overlord. Or will you join one of the gangs and simply watch the chaos and even help start some more. It's all up to you after all this is your Holyland.
