History:
Haruki's parents were both Japanese and he was born on the edge of Tokyo. He lived there for a few years before his family moved to the states for better jobs. He was put into a program to help him learn English. He had a hard time making friends because he couldn't speak English well. As he got older he learned how to speak English but he got made fun of for his accent. The teasing turned to bullying and he didn't know what to do. A few older kids would lock him in the janitor's closet until they decided to let him out - or forgot about him. He would sit in the darkness and cry until the door would be opened. His parents would get upset that he was skipping so much school and the principal would call them everyday.
But one day when the kids locked him in the closet he broke down, really broke down. He started having his first panic attack from the isolation and darkness. That day, though, the janitor asked the principal to unlock it when he lost his keys. They found him curled in on himself, hyperventilating and crying. They realized what had been happening and brought him out to let him calm down so he could explain. The kids were properly dealt with and he was put back in class so he could catch back up. Everything went back to normal with he was thankful for.
He eventually made some friends and they helped stick up for him.​

Eric is a snarky, but well-meaning young man who just wants to live. While not super outgoing, Eric is an extrovert through and through, and craves human interaction. He has a sharp wit and is never afraid to tell people what he thinks of them. He is very active and enjoys the feeling of satisfaction after a good workout. When he isn't doing anything productive, he tends to feel useless, and prolonged periods of inactivity depress him.

History:

Eric was the star of his cross-country team, which was the core of his identity. He was popular enough, he had friends, loving parents, hot girlfriends, and was what one might consider a big man on campus. Despite his charmed high school life, thing started going downhill for him after graduation. His friends began to slip out of his life as they all moved on to college, leaving Eric behind in his tiny Minnesotan home town. Eric is desperate to get out of his parents’ house and start up his life, however he's always been a bad student(his dyslexia not helping at all), and his parents don't want to spend money on classes he's going to flunk. So, he's stuck living at home, working a factory job he hates, falling deeper into depression.​

Personality:
Zachary is a quiet, easy-going fellow. Though he is quite bashful and somewhat phlegmatic, he is not antisocial and is very kind, compassionate, and non-judgmental toward others. He desires to be a social person but instead he usually finding himself reverting to his seclusion, and does not really mind. He is humble, mannerly and wary of conflict and hostile opinions so he tends to be complaisant, even watering down his opinion if it may offend or be unpopular or not voicing it at all, as well as having trouble saying "no" people, causing him to be taken advantage of (granted that the requests do not violate his strong morals.) He is loyal to his companions and, being a rather optimistic/idealistic person, he can be too trusting, not that he is naïve but chooses to see the good side of all everything, which at times ends up backfiring. He is scholarly and often pensive, causing him to be quite forgetful and careless regarding mundane matters. Though mostly long-suffering, when he is irritated, he expresses it passive-aggressively.

History:
Zachary Mkhize was born in Durban, South Africa and is the oldest child and only son born to his father of Zulu origin and his mother of South Korean origin. He lived in Durban, along with his sister to come, until the age of seven when his parents received a job in Tel Aviv, Israel. There he lived there for approximately 1 year or so, before moving to Haifa, and during that time, youngest sister was born. Following a period of 3 years, they were relocated to Palermo in Italian Sicily, where he and his family lived for a further 5 years. Due to some circumstances within the company, the family were pressured find new employment elsewhere, settling on a better job opening in Toronto, Canada when he was 16 years old. Growing up as a third culture kid was a little difficult for him. Changing schools, not to mention countries with different languages, was a bit troubling to him, as he was having to leave what he knew and gotten used to for something completely different. Though very outgoing as a young child, becoming more introverted and of a different ethnic background from his colleagues did not help his adjustment. However, he never really faced problems with the other children there and got along with them, notable for being the "smart kid" people could go to for help, mostly. When graduating high school in Canada as 18, he enrolled as a freshman in a university in Ontario to study to study anthropology and art.
