Welcome To The Hidden Mist Village

Home of the blood mist ninja!

:: The Hidden Mist Village is very much like a ghost town. It is inactive and quiet. It is like this because security is so tight that the villagers are treated like slaves. Those brave enough to rebel are killed shortly after. Connections with the village have been cut long ago, and it remains to be tightly secure. ::

There was a soft sigh as Miyu looked up at the mist covered sky. A small amount of light filtered through, but not much. The young gennin was laid out on a branch, her back to the trunk and one leg hanging down. Her vivid green eyes were scanning the trees around her lazily; she wasn't quite sure what she was going to do today. But eh, it would come to her later.

Absently, Miyu wondered whatever happened to her Jounin teacher. Probably got killed off in a mission. She thought without care, it wasn't really her concern since she barely knew the guy. Sitting up, Miyu tilted her head to look once again at the sky.

Sometimes she wished she lived somewhere else; at least outside of Kiri they had actual sunshine... Not this stupid mist...

::Suiken had finally finished his mission, killing one of the ringleaders of the Seafoam Cartel would have been a simple matter, capturing him was a bit more of a challenge, but no one had a better record of live captures in the village than Suiken did. Although this wasn't such an impressive achievement considering most of the bloody mist loved killing, so they didn't bother trying to capture any of their targets::

Suiken: "Well Kumo? another job well done?"

::a cat sized spider scurried up his back, and skittered excitedly making a chirping noise::

Suiken: "No Kumo, you can't eat this one, it's going back to the medical center for 'research'. I'll find you something better to eat somewhere along the way."

::shouldering a tightly bound cocoon of webs that was oddly shaped like a human body, he trudged across the bridge into the mist::

Completely bored out of her mind, Miyu jumped off the branch she had been laying on and began to trudge back to the village. She rubbed her face and then slipped her hands into the pockets of her pants. Why couldn't there be something to do!? Walking along the wet ground towards Kiri, she grimaced as her feet began to sink into the mud.

With an audible growl, Miyu leapt onto the tree and began to race away. She gave running leaps off of branches and preformed artful acrobatics in the air before landing smoothly on another branch. The wind moved through her hair as Miyu's speed picked up, using chakra to boost her endurance. With one final leap out of a tree and a graceful arch through the air, Miyu landed on the outskirts of the village.

::Suiken had just reached the edge of the village, Somewhat surprised at a young gennin running around he readjusted his hunter mask, and growled at her::

Suiken: "Hey kid! watch yourself! This place has never been very friendly... specially in times like these!"

::He heaved off his sticky load, and handed it off to his spider companion::

Suiken: "Alright Kumo, take this back over to the lab. No snacking on your way over!"

::He watch Kumo skitter away, dragging the tightly wrapped body behind him, when the spider disappeared into the thick mist he turned back to face the student::

Suiken: "Hey kid, where's your Sensei? you shouldn't be wandering all the way out here on your own..."

Miyu blinked as a Hunter-nin suddenly appeared, growling orders at her. She stiffened her back and looked defiantly at the ninja from her own village. She crossed her arms and tilted her chin up. Miyu blinked as a spider appeared and the Hunter-nin's cargo was carried off by the insect. Turning back to the Hunter-nin she heard his question.

"How should I know? Last I heard he was on some stupid mission... Probably got himself killed, he was an idiot anyway." Miyu answered, narrowing her eyes at the ninja.

::Suiken made an odd sound halfway between an cough and a chuckle::

Suiken: "What are you? Physic or something? When you make remarks like that, you KNOW you're asking for trouble..."

::Suiken slipped his hands back into his pockets and leisurely started walking back into the village entrance::

Suiken: "Well, just don't get yourself killed too... not that it's really my problem anyways..."

Miyu glared in annoyance at the Hunter-nin, following after him as he started walking back. "Just because I'm a gennin doesn't mean I'm going to get myself killed every time I walk out of the village. I'm not some stupid civilian!" She growled, clenching her fists angrily. Miyu dared not looking away from the Hunter-nin's back, who knows what the guy might do?

::Suiken smiled underneath his mask::

Suiken: "Killed every time, huh? not likely...

But it only takes once before it's too late to regret it"

::Suiken dug in his pockets absentmindedly and picked at a loose thread on his pocket lining::

Suiken: "I have to report back to my squad for a debrief before wandering around with a gennin... If I'm feeling generous, I might even treat you to dinner, but you might not like the food..."

Miyu snorted at the Hunter-nin's reply, typical answer... Same words her sensei used to say to her before, he went missing on the mission... Not like they helped him much. "Whatever, I'll make sure that one time never happens," she snapped confidently. Her parents had drilled it into her to be like this... Arrogance was the key to confidence, which would lead to confidence in battle, which would lead to becoming a leader.

She snapped her eyes back towards the Hunter-nin, glared at him. "Go on beat it! As if I'd even miss you!" She yelled, turning and beginning to stalk off into the village. Miyu had absolutely no idea where she'd go, but it didn't really matter... She wasn't going home any time soon.

"I don't know how much longer I can take this" Unimako was wincing in pain. "Gah! I can stand it any more!" He bolted up right in form his position on the tree branch. Unimako let out a sigh "I hate guard duty.....why do we have to keep the civilians tied up in there houses..." He jumped down from the tree and left do to the fact that his guard duty just end with out him knowing. He didn't know what he was going to do, most likely get something to eat.

::Suiken arrived at the lab just as the "doctors" were unwrapping the cocoon around his last victim::

Doctor: "Sheesh! Suiken! there you are, did you really have to put so much web on this one? these things take forever to unwrap!"

Suiken: "Huh? let me try..."

::he grasped the cocoon near the top and ripped downwards, severing the chakra flow in the web, and removing the wrappings exposing the body inside::

Suiken: "there you go... now where's my stuff?"

::The doctor pointed to a nearby table, where there lay a syringe filled with a dark purplish liquid, and a scroll::

Doctor: "You buddies dropped by earlier, left you the note, it has your next assignment on it"

Suiken: "Ugh... already?! I barely finished around here! I'm sure there are plenty others who would..."

::He picked up the scroll, and it responded to his chakra, opening up and reveling his message::

Suiken: "Oh this?! are the serious?..."

::his scroll dissolved into a puddle of water which splattered to the ground::

Suiken: "Oh well, at least I got my 'medicine', I'll be taking my leave..."

::He jabbed the syringe into his arm, and headed for the door, Kumo crawled out from under the table, and obediently followed Suiken onto the village streets::

Miyu shoved her hands into her pockets and hunched her shoulders as she walked down the streets of Kiri. Looking up she noted how... Empty it felt. Cold and desolate, she wondered what this place must have looked like during the first years; when people actually lived here. Now it seemed like the village was left more to the mists than to the inhabitants who tried to survive here.

Deep in her mind, she wished for the village to be returned to it's glory days. Where she could actually have teammates and not just a sensei... An inept sensei at that.

Unimako had been walking the streets of Kiri for sometime. He didn't really mind the fact that no one was on them but he did wish at least one place looked like it was open. "I really don't want to have to eat at my place again." Unimako let out a sigh, but as he did he found a small sign of life. He looked out the corner of his eye and saw a waitress pop her head out the door then quickly pulled it back in with a with a small "eeping" sound. "Well looks like I'm not eat at home then" he said with a smile.

As Unimako went into the small shake he could all ready taste the food that would soon be in is stomach.

::Suiken lay flat on his back on the ground in his home. It was his family's old house, slightly larger than most, but more importantly it had a tangle of trees in the back that stretched eerily over the water's surface like a dark claw waiting to swallow the house. He had gone out and killed a deer for Kumo to eat, and was waiting for the depressing drizzle to die down::

Suiken: "So Kumo. Our new mission starts tomorrow... I hope it's not what I think it is... there have been a couple of nasty rumors floating around..."

::Kumo chirped eagerly as if in agreement::

Suiken: "I must be pretty lame to be talking to a spider, huh? well, if you want to leave, you're free for the time being..."

::the spider nodded it's head, and disappeared in a cloud of smoke leaving Suiken alone in the house::

Suiken: "Pretty lame indeed...*sigh*"

::He rested his head back against the wall, and removed his mask, placing it on the nearby table and closed his eyes::

((OOC: just forget about the guard duty thing but him getting something to eat still stands, not sure if any of you read my posts anyway, so if you didn't you can ignore this~))

Unimako walked out of the shake with a full stomach. "I wounder where I'm suppose to go to meet my team." He said as he patted his stomach. He looked down street after street he passed still not seeing any life until he saw one girl walking down a street. "Wow this is a shock! There's someone out an about besides me!" He then started to walk down the street to the girl.

::A Currier-Nin dropped by Suiken's house several hours later, perching on the windowsill::

Suiken: "Eh? finally here are you? What is it this time?"

Currier-Nin: "You new assignment is up, The Mizukage wants to see you immediately"

Suiken: "Eh?... tell him I'm on my way."

::Suiken grabbed his mask off the table, and slipped it on, following the Currier-Nin out the window, and over the mist covered buildings::

::A bright light shone through the gates of the village as people gathered with a warm glow on there faces, they all knew who it would be and surely enough they werent disapointed. The light slowly faded away as people lowered there hands from there eyes and Angel stepped back into the village::

Angel: "Hey, you lot been waiting here this long just for me?"

Villager: "Ha yeah right you show off, we saw your light coming a million miles away. Success i take it?"

Angel: "oh the light, i hadn't noticed"

::Angel gave a wink and smerked alittle as he always plays up to the villagers and loves the attention. He then pointed forwards as ANBU flew foward out of the trees carrying a captured missing ninja::

Angel: "I'd call that success, hes stunned from over exposure to my ninjutsu haha, not even a scratch on him! thats what i call a mint condition capture right there"

::He then followed the ANBU to the head office to deliver the captured missing nin and report any intel on the rebel camp, but obviously not before signing a few signatures on the way::

::Suiken and the Currier-Nin arrived at the office of the Mizukage shortly after leafing Suiken's home. They were greeted my two guards standing at the entrance::

Guard: "You're late, The Mizukage will see you now, go right on in"

::The Mizukage was not known to be a friendly guy depending on his mood, and was arguably the most powerful ninja in the village, if not further. Approaching him in a foul mood was like walking into a den of angry dogs. Suiken hoped he was in a good mood::

Mizukage: "Well Suiken, you're late"

Suiken: "So I hear... what do you need this time...?"

Mizukage: "Watch yourself Suiken, You're not being very polite... *he paused for a moment* ...but everybody's seemed so uptight around me recently, it's nice to see a change of pace. I'll let it slide... this time..."

Suiken: "So...? What did you need?"

Mizukage: "I already told you to watch your mouth. As for why I called you, One of my Jounins got killed."

Suiken: "...And you want me to find the guy that did it?"

Mizukage: "No, I want you to take care of his students... three of them"

::Suiken remembered the gennin he saw on the bridge::

Suiken: "Aw hell no... this is going to suck big time... I'm not a babysitter..."

::The Mizukege chuckled and gave Suiken the files on his new crew::

Mizukage: "Here you go, all the info you need to get to work. Oh, and you won't be needing that mask anymore."

::Suiken reluctantly removed his mask and pocketed it::

Suiken: "Thanks... I'll hang onto it, if my students die too quickly, I might just get my old job back..."

::Angel arrived at the ANBU headquaters with the captive enemy being carried away to the interigation area::

ANBU Officer: "Congrats Angel, oh here you should take a look"

::Angel moved the officer out the way as he looked at what appeared to be an open scroll, only to start laughing out loud::

Angel: "hahahahaha Suikens become a baby sitter? haha !! Maybe now i can take the lead on missions completed"

::His old friend Suiken had be prosponed from ANBU to become a jounin trainer and nothing could have made Angel's day more than that. He then headed off to attempt to find the new Jounin ninja::

::Sui ran into his old buddy Angel right outside the Mizukage's office::

Sui: "Just what are you smirking at...? I guess you finally can have my old title of 'Capture King' for now..."

::Suiken gave Angel a friendly slap on the shoulder and smiled devilishly showing his fangs::

Suiken: "But someday I'll be back... challenging you for it. Just you wait..."

::Angel laughed::

Angel: "haha why would they choose you to look after little kids? urgh and they should have let you keep the mask, that face is enough to scare anyone haha"

::Angel then place his hand on Suikens shoulder as he grinned::

Angel: "By the time you finish training them kids you will be too far behind to even capture me, hell you might even be an old man haha"

::He continued smiling remembering there past together and what he always says to Suiken::

Angel: "Well if you need a hand with the kids ill be happy to help just give me a shout, oh and Suiken remember you fight in the dark to protect the light, remember that so try not to harm the kids haha or ill bring the light and beat your ass with it haha"

Suiken: "you rely on the light too much... even back when we were on a squad, and you hadn't fully developed your light-ness. Nowadays at least you have a fan club."

::Suiken tossed his mask to Angel::

Suiken: "here, you hang onto that, when I'm done with these kids, I'll come get my mask back"

::Angel caught the mask as he took off his ANBU and placed his on for a laugh::

Angel: "Man how can you see out of this thing? plus it doesn't suit my image... a black mask haha. Yeah if you want it back your gunna have to fight for it back, got to prove your worthy to become ANBU again right? haha"

::Angel smiled as he tucked it inside his clothing, it meant alot to him that Suiken gave it him::

Angel: "So your really taking this seriously then? you've accepeted it? oh and my light is close to divine now, needs a little work here n there, the purer i am in myself and happy the stronger my light becomes it seems"

:: He then put his hand out and did a 'thumns up' sign to Suiken with a glint in his eye ::

Suiken: "I don't mind fighting for it when I'm ready, just don't get yourself killed in the process"

::He said this jokingly as he very well knew both of them specialized in non-lethal styles::

Suiken: "and I don't have much choice about the matter with the kids... orders from up top.

I suppose I could kill the lot of them, but then I might just get in trouble...

I have to meet them pretty soon anyways... don't become too divine while I'm gone."
