delinquents around the country are recruited into a single group by the sparrow where their varying skills can be combined to pull off the biggest of crimes. the sparrow has big ambitions; they want to pull off their biggest heist by robbing the bank of america in new york, a seemingly impossible target.
the setting will primarily be a warehouse on the outskirts of new york city where the heist members will be planning and preparing for the big day. this warehouse also serves as their home. the heist members wont be sitting around and talking; they'll be planning for the heist by obtaining the appropriate supplies (uniforms/disguises, fake identities, getaway vehicles, guns, ammunition, location intel, masks, etc.) whether it be by legal or illegal means. the aim of this roleplay is for characters to build strong friendships, create enemies or develop romantic feelings for one another. drama irp is strongly encouraged, bring on all the angst!
this roleplay is inspired by money heist, criminal minds, the himmelstein map in hitman 2, and gta v heists. it is not required for you to have seen/played any of these, they just help with general knowledge of the idea as a whole! overall its mostly inspired by gta v heists with the preparation tasks prior to the heist. but, the roleplay won't end after the big heist! the FBI will receive a tip on the warehouse of the members and send a SWAT team to storm the place. the members will have to set up shop elsewhere, but nonetheless plan other heists to fulfill their dreams of living a lavish and dangerous life. this will be a collaborative roleplay; though i'm organising it, everyone has a say in steering the plot.

roles.
every single member of the heist group has a role to play, potential roles are listed below. i made them open so you are not restricted when creating your character. you are not limited to these roles; if you have a particular idea for your characters role, you can either message me or reply to thread below with your idea so i can include it here for you (if it fits ofc). onto the roles!
the boss [taken by FabulousTrash ]
also known as the sparrow, they call the shots during heists. they make executive decisions for the group, though they do not take on all of the planning; every member of the heist group contributes to this, and works as a team. they are an all-rounder when it comes to skills like fighting, shooting a gun, socialising and coming up with ideas.
the fighter [taken by ohdittoh ]
a short-tempered character with violent tendencies and a toned physique, this person is quite the brawler. messing with them or pissing them off is not a good idea. not only are they skilled with their fists, but also with guns. they take on any tasks that require strength, frequently alongside the former soldier. the two don't always get along.
the ghost [taken by amberskies ]
with a specialty in counterfeiting, this individual has never been arrested purely due to their lack of legal identity. they have the connections to create fake forms of personal identification. they can shoot a gun, but their skills primarily lie in deceiving and manipulating people to subtly get away with committing crimes.
the former soldier [taken by Breakfeastclub ]
after serving in the military and being dumped onto the streets like waste, they have a personal vendetta against the united states government. they are exceptional at close range combat and have a strong physique due to their training. they are the best at firing weapons in the entire heist group given their past experience.
the hacker [taken by Jannah ]
upfront violence and guns are not their forte, as they are more comfortable typing away the keys behind a bright computer screen. with an IQ of 183, they are the brains of the group. though they rarely go out into the field, they still managed to become one of the most wanted people in america due to the scary amount of cybercrime they have committed. they possess mechanical skills too.
the getaway driver [taken by IDKnuggets ]
what good is a heist without transportation? this person has expertise in hijacking cars as well as driving swiftly but with precision to avoid crashes, thanks to their past in street and drag racing. their own cars are too precious to risk damage during high-speed getaways, so they usually resort to hijacking vehicles off the street based on the location of the planned heist. they are also in charge of tracking police movement during heists via police radio.
the moralist [taken by orpheus. ]
this person got into the world of crime to bring good to the world rather than bad. they used their skills to shut down human trafficking networks, illegal animal poachers, pedophiles, and other scumbags. they are usually the mediator of the group whenever arguments go down, and do their best to avoid casualties from occurring during heists and preparation tasks.
the hitman [taken by krypt ]
with a specialisation in taking down high-profile targets without detection, the hitmans strengths primarily lie in shooting long-range weapon (as well as short-range knife-wielding). their name is well-known yet feared on the dark web, known for their extreme efficiency in eliminating and disposing of targets without raising suspicion on them or their contractor in the process. their past of killing conflicts with the values held by the moralist, thus the two do not get along well.
the safecracker [taken by Zerulu ]
no door, vault or lock is safe around the safecracker. though most of the crew specialises in infiltrating locations and defense, only this character possesses sufficient skills to crack the safes, vaults, deadlocks and other barriers preventing them to reach the ultimate prize; money. when it comes to bigger heists involving vaults with more than a simple padlock, they have the connections to supply them with thermite, enough to make any vault go boom.
the newcomer [taken by Kovacs ]
this person's criminal record consists only of petty crimes. though they have never partaken in a heist or robbery, the sparrow chose to give this character a chance. they mess up, they're out; they do good, they can stay. their lack of expertise means they have to gain the trust and respect of the other members. the newcomer views the sparrow almost as their mentor, guiding them through the world of heists and bigger crimes. some of the heist members, including the fighter, may not see the point of having someone less experienced in the group, and thus give them a hard time.
